I listed my boat on Boat Trader hoping to reach serious buyers, but ALL of inquiries were not genuine.
All had fake offers using cashier’s checks or offshore deals, or tried to sell history reports or unrelated services instead of actually buying the boat, and then simply disappeared after initial contact. A lot of scam responses! Lots of wasted time.

Joey was fantastic
I just read a lot of unfavorable experiences with boat trader. I use their app for 12 weeks and had a lot of scammers which I reported to the company, they blocked those people immediately. I\n Wish they would do more vetting on these scammers so that us in the selling world don't have to deal with it, but I'm sure they're working on a process to rectify this problem. I just reinstituted my ad on boat trader today and I am assured that I will get scammers, but now I know how to deal with them immediately. I don't give my phone number out nor my email. I only use the boat trader email so we can document the crazy stuff that often occurs. I don't understand why people don't get good results with bolt trader. I've had great results with many of the customer service representatives that I've spoken with over the last months, they were very helpful and took care of any problems that I had as quickly as they were able to by the system that they were working with.
I cn only say to people that are having problems.ChillDon't hang up , don't email call the Boat trader, telephone phone number and speak with somebody live. You will get a good result.
I hope you listen to the words of an old man who has had many, many interfaces with boat trader over the last 8 months, they're nice people. They are not the ones that are scamming us sellers. It's the crazy people that want to bilk you out of your money. Be smarter than they are. Don't give them your telephone number or email. And if you do, block them once they start being horrible, which they generally are almost immediately.
Veterans care about people!

Joey George listened to my concerns and solved it. Great customer service.

I paid $169 and listed my boat. Immediately two men inquired…but were both scammers and subsequently blocked from contacting me. The next day I wrote to customer service requesting a full refund as a single older woman did not feel safe using their platform. Zero response after three requests. Customer service non existent!

All be warned! Scam from the start! This is no longer the same boat trader or boats.com, they are thieves!!
Nothing but games and fraudulent business. Do not subject yourself to the corruption, this is an absolute fraud of the highest order.

No real buyers, only scammers. Also horrible customer service. They over charged my credit card by $600 and won’t refund me. I have emailed Customer Support 3 times and they have failed to respond.

Sally Hunter is without a doubt (and it's not even close) to being the best Account Manager I have had with Boat Wizard. I've been doing this a while. i probably can not count on my fingers and toes how many account managers I've had.
I started doing this with Redish Yacht Brokers in November of 2003. A quick stint with Punta Gorda Yacht Brokers in and around 2012. Eight or nine years with Pier One Yacht Sales and now another 3 years and counting with Stamp Yacht Sales.
I used wait days, weeks and one time it took months to get a responce (with other account managers) . Sally takes care of things almost imediatley and one time let me know about an issue in advance, before I even knew.
Do not ever let Sally leave.. Please pay her more money and give her a big fat Christmas bonus too.

Our rep, Sally Hunter, is excellent. She is super responsive, never leaves us hanging, and it is always a pleasure dealing with her.

THE AD RENEWAL PROCESS DOES NOT SEND YOU A WARNING OF THE IMPENDING CHARGE. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS! I TRIED TO CANCEL AND THE LINK THEY SENT ME WOULD NOT WORK. TRIED CALLING AND THEY THEN SAID THE CALL NEVER WAS RECORDED. I REPORTED THIS TO MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AN THEY REVERSED THE CHARGE.
STAY AWAY FORM THEM. ALL THE RESPONSES TO MY AD WERE ALL FRAUDULENT!! DOZENS OF THEM.

I had mistakenly saved a search and didn’t realize it. Hence everything i went to search for something, that saved search came up. I didn’t know what i did nor how to correct it. Thankfully Jennifer saved the day! She is always quick to respond and very knowledgeable.
Thank you Jennifer. Much appreciated.

Had a log-in issue at a crucial time and called Carlos, who helped me resolve the issue very quickly. I can always rely on my Boat Trader rep for anything I need help with in BoatWizard.

Absolutely a great experience. And the manager Joey had a little hiccup I made already fixed before we even spoke. Boat Trader is a fantastic way to advertise your boat.

Connected me with a buyer for my boat. Downside was I got a lot of scam contacts that would waste time with a bunch of questions then ask for you to buy a report. Would be good if boat trader could figure out a way to register buyers and weed these out.

Reply from Boat Trader
The majority of contacts were scammers trying to get me to buy a history report, or trying to enlist me in there on-line search service or trying to make a down payment for a phony 'over-the amount' cashiers check scheme.

Only issue I had was with automatic renewal. I sold the boat in the morning, through Boat Trader, and renewal was that after. I did not see the notice until that evening after renewal took place. Should of had better notification
It was very easy to list the boat with all the pictures. I had interested people connecting with me within 48 hours. I sold the boat in 3 days for the price I wanted.

I had only scammers answer my ads; this is my first time with real scammers. Here's my experience and what to look for:
- They want to pay via cashiers check but "are out of town" so will call the bank or have someone else do the cashiers check for them.
- They want to add monies to check to have you also pay for the boat movers.
- They want you to remove your ad immediately.
- They continue to check back to see if you have received the check.
