Two star shop, five star bike ?
Got my Boardman SLR 8.9 105 Mens Road Bike 2021 after waiting about 12 weeks (not Halfords fault just COVID) very excited, collected from Halfords Southport in the rain, so it was put in the back of my car wrapped in a duvet. Next day the sun was out so off I went. Front gears would not change up, so took it back to Halfords and they adjusted the gears, now they worked but sounded like they were destroying themselves, back we went. In all, 5 visits to get gears right and while they were doing this the bike started making a very loud creaking noise, they had 4 attempts at fixing that, including me leaving it with them twice. One week from receiving it to giving it back, it never got fixed. The manager said he would get me a new bike but did not really seem that bothered about it at all and customer service also seemed to shy away from it.
Got a new bike off them after 4-5 weeks, back brake was over adjusted and one of the front spokes fell off on the first 15 mile ride. Took it back, they fixed it. I have now done a further 250 miles on it and love the bike, 5 star, build quality 2 star. Staff in bike department 4 star, Manager 1 star. After me taking time off work and driving back and fotrth to the shop I did not get as much as a free water bottle, or apology from the Manager. Hope I don't have to go back to them, but love the bike.

Purchased a Ladies Boardman MTX 8.6
Dreadful!! Purchased a Ladies Boardman MTX 8.6, worst cycle I’ve ever had!....The bearing collapsed on the pedal crank after only 250 miles use at the most!! I most certainly won’t be recommending to anyone to purchase a Boardman cycle anytime soon!

board man bikes are one of the best…
board man bikes are one of the best bikes. i have had mine for around 1 year now and it has never let me down. when i have upgraded my bike it rides even better. i have upgraded my seat to a dropper post and added more gears on the bike would recommend the bike to anyone who is looking for a good one.

Great bikes, great prices - I own three - why not you get serious kit on them and they look great. My local supplier was really nice and ordered my bike for me, ready to ride in 5 days. Great quality.
