BNI Coastal Heights - AVOID!

I want to share my honest experience so others can make an informed choice before joining BNI Coastal Heights in Joondalup.

I paid for my membership. At the time I had an employee who was a member of another BNI chapter, and when that employee and I had a falling out, I was the one who lost the seat I had paid for. BNI tried to patch it up by giving me a seat at the Coastal Heights chapter, and then removed me from that too. I ended up out of pocket with nothing to show for it.

While all this was going on I had an accident and could not attend for about three weeks. Rather than any understanding, I received a formal letter about missed sessions and a warning that I would be removed. I had been running the chapter's social media for free, and I was criticised for not posting while I was injured.

When I asked the members for content to work with, I was told it was my job to do it, and then I was criticised whenever I did post. It was a no-win situation, and throughout it I was made to feel belittled and talked down to.

I have worked in digital marketing for more than ten years. In my professional opinion the reach here is pathetic and the members do not have the skill set to market your business effectively.

In my honest opinion you cannot trust this chapter to look after you, and the people are only interested in themselves. I would not join again.

Don't trust the members they don't have your interest at heart even though they tell you they do - be warned !!!
