Touch Typing skill for DofE Duke of Edinburgh

I signed my daughter up to the EasyType Typing Tutor course as the Skills section of her Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Bronze award; we felt this would be a skill that would be useful to education, work and personal life and that she could could continually develop.
The Blue Mountain course was affordable and excellent. She has made so muich progress and is now using the skill learnt every day. She is also able to repeat the course until early 2020 to refresh skills as required, thanks to this Brilliant Blue Mountain!

Unprofessional

After switching my current account to First Direct, I selected a course in Hypnotherapy through Blue Mountain Training. It turns out the actual course provider is called Auspicium. The wrong course was applied to my account, so I emailed Blue Mountain several times to try resolving this issue. Some of my emails were answered, but eventually Blue Mountain just started ignorning me, so I filed a complaint with First Direct. Soon after I received a phone call from Blue Mountain, and the issue was resolved several days later. However, something just didn't sit right with me, so I held off on accessing the course (they appeared very eager for me to access the course).

A few weeks had passed, and I started receiving emails from Auspicium (the provider of the hypnotherapy course). In these emails I was told that I would get FREE access to a 90 minute ecourse, and that I would learn a simple conversation that can change anyones life. What I actually got was access to a 90 minute advertisement for another ecourse priced at £997 + VAT, and apparently THAT would teach me a simple conversation that can change anyones life...you get the picture, right? Scam!

I contacted Blue Mountain again and told them I had not yet accessed the Hypnotherapy course, and in light of the recent scam by Auspicium, wanted nothing whatsoever to do with Auspicium or their courses. I requested the selection of another course from a different provider. This request was flatly denied. I have since complained again to First Direct.

If you're switching to First Direct, please for your own sanity, DO NOT select a course from Blue Mountain Training as your switch gift. The same advice applies if you are simply researching various online training companies with a view to purchasing an ecourse, and have come across this review, STEER CLEAR!

UPDATE!!!

After writing this review, I was contacted by Blue Mountain who suddenly had a change of heart and decided they would let me select a different course from a different provider, however only if I deleted this review. I told them I would update the review to reflect the truth, but would not delete the review. They said this was unacceptable, so I hung up. Blue Mountain contacted me the following day and, after everything that had gone before, finally agreed to allow me to select another course and provider, as long as I updated this review.

So the updated situation is that I finally obtained a satisfactory resolution, but the road to that resolution was painfully difficult. Blue Mountain need to have a close look at their customer service!

Very poor experience. Avoid this company.

Very poor experience. You are given an unrealistic time in which to complete a course. Of this, you are not made aware until you log in to your account, to find empty pages. A complete waste of time and lots of money. Their customer service is useless. Avoid this company.

Asked them by email how much to renew…

Asked them by email how much to renew course as hadn't finished it - no response yet was bombarded with emails instead trying to get me to give them my card details to renew. I wanted a price first but they don't seem able to give you what you ask for.

Pick another course provider

I paid for a voucher to do an emergency first aid at work course. The voucher seemed to be accepted fine and I was informed the material for the course would be available in 3 working days, which I thought was fine to do in time for a new job. Best part of a month later still no course material and according to one of their advisors the course isn't even ready, now no good for the new job and have to choose a new course provider and pay again as there is only a 14 day refund policy. Avoid at all costs. Many other more reliable course providers out there that may charge a bit more but it will be a course that you can do.

Blue Mountain run voucher scam

I bought a voucher for an accountancy course at a reduced price. I couldn't redeem it on the Blue Mountain website and was told it hadn't been processed and to try later. I tried several times until the voucher expired, at which point Blue Mountain told me to buy another one, even after I repeatedly explain the situation. I suspect this goes on a lot!

The course was helpful

The course was helpful, I have been getting into bikes recently and this has helped me to see how to do things I was not very sure about. I enjoyed it. It was also a good price.

Wonderful course and training experience

I am form South Africa and Bluemountain training is definitely the place to go and study online courses. The courses are interactive so they make it easy to follow and understand the subjects at hand. The staff at bluemountain training is very helpful and efficient and they are always friendly and willing to help. This has been a wonderful experience with the online study and I will always go back to them to further my studies and training.Thank you to all at Bluemountaing training

Excellent with great 24 hr support

I undertook this course to boost my knowledge and gain certification. I originally started this course in 2006 but never completed it, wish I had but am happy that they had a great offer available and now have competed the course. recommended for all.
