Blacklisted from Carmoola

Very poor dealerships, i brought a rs3 (FV22FCX) from them in july 2025, arranged finance before arriving, came to see a vehicle from up north took 5 hours to come, the car was described over the phone as mint, realty was that the car was battered all alloys were battered, bonnett did not sit right broken headlight bracket, rear bumber was from a different coloured car , grill cracked. It was obvious that the vehicle had been involved in a unrecorded crash and put back together poorly. The young lad who was there offered a discount for me to take the vehicle which I agreed. On the way back i noticed the car smelled of fuel. I took no notice of it. Few weeks later the smell got worse and i took it to my local garage who said the car has a major fuel leak and also steering collum is faulty. The garage has agreed to do the work but its been 3 months and they still haven't collected the car. I am currently going through financial ombudsman to get the car returned. Very very poor experience. Do not recommend.
I asked the dealer if they'd accept an exchange , which they ignored

Update

After battering the finance company battling with the dealership I've finally have rejected my vehicle. It got collected a week ago. The dealership has now been blacklisted from carmoola.

Had a very pleasant experience at bluehawk and thought i would share it on here as it seems unfair that theres only 2 reviews. I do know that usually the only time reviews are left is when its a bad experience but mine has been nothing short of brilliant. I called up and spoke to a chap called Zain and he was very accommodating and helped me with all my questions. I came down to view the car and it was in excellent condition. We agreed on a price and off i was. Car was valeted, mot’d and serviced the same day which was very lucky. Thank you again team bluehawk!

Had an excellent experience with buying my car start to finish, they were very well informed with all of the cars they had in stock and was able to help me with any questions i had which was really reassuring. I travelled quite far and was quite apprehensive about buying a used car but I couldn’t fault the experience and I love my new Merc! Thank you again

Very disappointing experience AVOID

Very disappointing experience. I purchased a used car from Bluehawk Automotive and soon discovered several issues that were never disclosed. Within weeks the car developed a coolant leak, and a mechanic pointed out signs of previous front-end repair that had not been mentioned at the time of sale.

I also later found that the wheels were aftermarket replicas, despite the car being presented as having genuine Mercedes alloys. This is a clear misrepresentation, especially on a premium vehicle.

When I raised these concerns, I was simply told “you bought a used car, you should’ve checked,” which isn’t acceptable. A used car should still be as described and of satisfactory quality.

Overall, a stressful and disappointing purchase. I would advise others to be very cautious and arrange independent checks before dealing with this seller.

DO NOT DO IT! YOUR LIFE WILL BE AT RISK.

I have recently purchased a Mercedes A35 from this dealership. The sales care was poor. The staff weren’t knowledgeable, often made answers up and general communication was poor. I was reluctant to proceed due to these issues, but the car was rare and was a good price, so I gave the benefit of the doubt. I’ve done nothing but regret it since.

As I was travelling a long distance, I was sent a video of the car an a description of its condition. What wasn’t detailed was the chips to the windscreen, scuffs to the alloys and the bumper trim hanging off. I was allowed a 10-minute test drive. It transpired that the vehicle had no MOT for the test drive.
After agreeing the sale of the car, I completed the 10 hour round trip home to be told that I would have to collect within 5 days and not 6. This extra day had to be authorised by the faceless manager.

On collection of the car, I found the key to be damaged. The set up here is totally unprofessional. A dodgy back street garage if I’ve ever seen one.
Due to my lack of trust here, I took the car to a local specialist for general health check inspection. They found that both front tyres were not road worthy. Metal was coming from the tyres and could’ve blown at any moment; I was very lucky to have not been involved in a serious incident. The car was unsafe and unsellable. So much so the garage would not put the tyres back on. They discovered a significant crack in the alloy which needed welding repair. The car then needed realigning. The MOT centre this company uses is presently under investigation from the DVLA intelligence team.

Within days more and more faults came to light. The ambient lighting was broken. The dynamic switch was faulty, a spill had caused corrosion to electrical plugs which needed replacing, the exhaust flap had a fault code, The wireless pad was water damaged and the safety camera was faulty.

These issues made the car faulty and unsafe. It was never fit for sale and none these issues were highlighted at point of sale. The warranty that is provided is useless ! It covers nothing. Electrics – not wiring. Main components – not the exhaust. I was left with a bill of around £2,000 to bring the car up to standard and roadworthy.

With a lot of chasing Bluehawk have contributed up to 50% of these costs or said I would need to return the car – for them to sell on again on an unfit state. Realistically, a return wasn’t a viable option given the money and efforts I had already invested in the vehicle. So, I was left with no choice but to foot this bill and be grateful not injuries or worse have occurred.

I have provided Bluehawk with the opportunity to do the correct thing here following their admission of guilt and cover the associated costs as these repairs need carrying out in any event. As they have not done this, I have had to raise this with trading standards and contact the relevant ombudsman. As per the formal process for this, Bluehawk are required to issue a letter of deadlock. They are now ignoring all correspondence from me. Again, STAY CLEAR !
