I approached William with an idea to create a dating site for spiritual people. I paid £5,000 upfront and agreed to £200 per month in hosting fees, with the understanding that I would pay more further down the line. From the very beginning, my experience working with William was awful.
William expected me to be available 24/7. If I wasn’t, he would demand my time. On one occasion, he kept me on the phone until 2am while working on the backend of my site. If I wasn’t available when he wanted, he would keep me on the phone for hours the next day and even said it was “punishment” for not being available.
Any time I made a suggestion for my website, William dismissed it or told me my ideas were “crap.” Every bit of text I wrote for my website, he called “rubbish.” He didn’t understand or even try to understand the spiritual aspect of my business. Whenever I tried to explain, he would accuse me of trying to convert him.
After editing content, he would completely change my words to what he wanted. None of my original voice was used. He even asked me to write 25 blogs, which I did, only to later say he wouldn’t use them and would get AI to generate content instead.
Whenever I asked for changes, he would become difficult, sometimes saying he didn’t want to work with me anymore, and I would end up being put on the phone with a colleague to calm things down. In the end, William did what he wanted with the site. It didn’t feel like my website at all.
He also took control of my social media accounts, saying I would ruin my business if I handled advertising myself. He insisted he would manage everything. However, in the last three months, he produced nothing. Even when I created content, he wouldn’t use it.
When the website was finished, it was done entirely to his design, not mine, and he didn’t even check if I was happy with the changes. I was never given admin access, as he said I would “ruin the code.” At that point, my website, my ideas, and my words were no longer mine.
He would also pretend to be fixing the website to justify the £200 monthly fee. On top of everything, he became verbally abusive, calling me offensive names multiple times and reducing me to tears. He said this behaviour was normal and even admitted he had fallen out with most of his clients.
After realising he had taken complete control of my business—my ideas, my content, and my ability to advertise—I decided to leave. I gave 30 days’ notice. His reaction was aggressive. He accused me of stealing from a single parent and demanded £20,000 to release my website, even though this was never in the contract.
Despite the notice period, he shut my website down immediately. He refused to put up a holding page, refused to give me my domain name, and withheld access to my clients. He breached multiple parts of the contract and told me I would get nothing.
As a result, I have had to walk away with nothing—no website, no refund, no access to my work—after spending over £7,000. He even told me to take him to court, knowing I couldn’t afford it.
William has effectively taken my idea, my website, and my business. I have proof of everything stated here.
Avoid this company unless you want to risk losing your money, your work, and your business.

I rent a small storage unit from
Blue Gecko I had some issues with my unit which when I reported the problem they went above and beyond to try and fix the problems but unfortunately to no avail. I was then offered another unit in a different location and up to now 3 months in all I can say is that’s it’s perfect. I have mainly only dealt with Amanda and all I can say is that she has been very helpful throughout. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for a commercial unit.

Highly reccomend this company if you love arguing on a daily basis and want to get yourself into a 2-year lease on a damp and humid room. The landlord was aware of these issues , but failed to mention them before I signed. I ended up spending two months and £3,000 of my own money (while on maternity leave) renovating the room. A month after moving in, my clients began complaining about their lashes falling out, and my own eczema flared up and noticed I was having difficulty catching my breath. I discovered that the room’s humidity level was 88%, which affected the lash glue and was the cause of my health problems.
When I brought this up with the landlord, I was basically told, “tough luck—you’re in a 2-year lease.” After months of back-and-forth with rude, unhelpful, obnoxious women in the office , the landlord eventually offered two options: pay the first year’s rent upfront (£1,200) to terminate the lease or keep paying monthly until they found a new tenant, which could take 2 months or 20 months who knows🤷🏽♀️. This was despite the fact that the room was clearly not fit for purpose, and none of these issues were disclosed before I signed the contract. I had no choice but to move out just 6 weeks after moving in, yet I still had to keep paying rent on a space I couldn’t use. It was clear the landlord and his staff had no concern for the wellbeing of their tenants as when environmental health had came round to check the building out he refused to do the repairs as they was too expensive. There weren’t just me that was experiencing problems in this building Infact most of the tenants had similar issues so to be made out a liar and be told there weren’t anything wrong with my room was pretty ironic. There has been lots of tears, worry and stress caused over this but you live and you learn (some people clearly don’t have a conscience)
Anyway fast forward 4 months and I am finally out and getting my business back on track, something else they weren’t arsed about ruining!
I’m posting this as a warning to others.. the buildings are cheap but because they are in an awful condition and save your self dealing with these horrendous people.
I could go on all day but I won’t bore you all with the ins and outs…. Over all nasty money grabbing arse holes

Went to enter into my 3rd lease for a commercial premises with Jones Metcalf, (previous lease ended over 3 years ago, and I vacated their premises and left it in a better condition than when I moved in).. I decided I wanted to get a new unit with them for my new business. The new lease was signed and agreed, deposit paid and keys handed over.
Then, the day before I was about to start moving all my equipment into the premises, Shirley decided to make an absolute fabrication that the previous premises I had with them, I had ‘heavies’ chasing me for money and they knocked her over to find me after I left. Which she was able to provide no proof of, then cancelled my new lease immediately and barred me from site.
You’d think such a distressing situation like that would have ended up in a police investigation, or even a call to myself, but no, it took Shirley 3 years to tell me this, and she only just decides to tell me about it now, and cancelled the lease I’ve just signed up for.
Wasted hundreds of pounds buying equipment for that unit which I’m now out of pocket for.
Shirley then proceeded to text me continuously, even though she was specifically told not to, breaching GDPR and harassment laws.
Wouldn’t bother with them. Time wasters and liars.

Rented a flat with Blue Gecko, all of the staff were very professional. If I ever had an issue they would send experienced people to my flat to help very quickly. (They once sent me a gas engineer and the only problem was that I didn't know how work the heating 😂) when I moved out there was no issue with the deposit at all. Would reccomend this company!

Would not recommend!
Went to view unit months ago back in February that was in the process of being built. Had credit check and passed as I said I would definitely be taking the unit, when it would be ready which was meant to be ready in march originally.
I believe this wasn’t ever even planned to be available and that it was a scam to allow the owner of the building to use the equity in the promise of rentals to allow them to borrow more money. I was informed off one of the site workers that rental guarantees were required to enable them to borrow more money.
Wasted months and kept chasing the company up with emails and calls when only just finding out by having to email again and being informed recently of a change of plans and that the unit is no longer available. Without any help of getting another unit in the building. If I’d have had knowledge earlier that it wouldn’t have been available I would have been looking for other places to rent, where in the end it’s costing me more money because I have vehicles on the road that I have to pay for and work that needs carrying out which could have all been sorted out in the unit.
