Fraud. Scam. Do not buy.

The item was a cheap mass produced PU fake leather bag lined with cotton. Returns requested on this occasion to an Argentinian address that appears to be a residential street are of course not worth the cost of return at your own expense. Glad I used PayPal and not my own bank details. Lesson learned check independent reviews first.

Agree with all the bad reviews

Agree with all the reviews - which I only read on receipt of the cheap fake bag. I emailed and requested a return form. They offered me a 50% refund and said I could keep the bag. I replied saying I expected a full refund, which I duly received, and was told to keep the bag. No questions were asked as to why I wanted to return the item.

I ordered 2 bags from this website

I ordered 2 bags from this website . When they arrived they were cheap plastic rubbish from China. Said the company was based in Bath but when I googled this was a residential place . Waited ages for delivery and sent numerous emails . Emails from the company were sent ant odd hours 03.00 etc.Became very suspicious of this company Eventually got a refund.
When I reverse searched the photo that was with the advert I got a different name selling goods from America .
Selling under the name Evelyn Brooks with the address being 350 Biltmore Avenue , Asheville NC28803.
Same photo same blurb .
Do not buy . This is a scam. I have reported them to the Anti Fraud team

I wish I had read more before ordering…

I wish I had read more before ordering from Cathering Blyth Handbags. The website looks completely legitimate — elegant branding, “UK-based” claims, and nice product photos — but don’t be fooled. The items actually ship from China, not the UK, and what arrived was cheap, poor-quality rubbish that looked nothing like the pictures.

Communication was useless, and returns seem deliberately made impossible. I’m furious to have been caught out by such a convincing con. This site is clearly set up to deceive customers into thinking they’re buying luxury British handbags, when in reality you’re getting low-grade imports at inflated prices.

Save yourself the stress and money — do not buy from Cathering Blyth Handbags.

This is a Scam

This is a scam. I received my parcel containing a plastic handbag probably made in China. No info about returns but think that v expensive and unlikely to work. Oh, silly me! Wish I'd read the reviews.

Oh dear - do not buy from this website

Oh dear, I wish I had read reviews before making a purchase. Really thought the website was genuine, offering handmade leather bags heavily discounted due to retirement. Feel absolutely stupid that I have been scammed. Lesson learnt in that I wont now look at ads via Google. I will be contacting the bank to log a complaint about the purchase and see what can happen next. Like other reviewers, I wish I had checked out reviews before making the purchase. So angry, annoyed that I have been scammed.

This is a con

This is a con,. The bags are plastic and made in China despite the masterly advertising which implies that they are made in leather in Bath by a master craftswoman who is retiring, hence the low price. I feel very stupid!

Beware

This is an absolute scam. Cheap plastic bags delivered after a 3 week wait. Certainly not made by a craft person; broken zips, poor stitching, even a hole in one of the bags. Wish I’d read the reviews before purchasing. I’ll be in touch with my bank and Shopify. Steer clear.

Complete scam.

I ordered my handbag on the 19th of September and received a plastic, horrible cheap handbag today. I have since read the other reviews and realise it is a complete scam. Please do not order handbags from this company, they need to be stopped.

This is a scam

This is a brazen scam. You get a 100% plastic bag from china that you can't return because postage will eat up your refund. I was able to convince PayPal of the fradulous scheme and they reimbursed me.

This company is fraudulent in every respect- in its product, location and contact

This 'company' is a disgrace and the sellers should be ashamed of themselves.
The handbags are made from plastic-coated cotton, not leather, so they should be prosecuted for mis-representation of a product.
In addition, the 'craftswoman' in the photographs does not exist.
The studio based in the city of Bath in England does not exist.

I eventually called their bluff and asked to make an appointment to visit the 'studio' - I'm still waiting...

I have been in touch with my bank and I am going to continue to pursue this fraud further until justice is done, and I will never
never knowingly buy anything from China again.
I am very, very angry.

I'm giving 1 star just so I can leave a review. I suppose I should be grateful that anything was delivered given the £36 I spent. How can a supposed company from Bath, be making ' hand crafted bags ' according to their website - and when the goods come - from China - made of plastic, instead of the promised leather ! I'm gutted, disgusted and very annoyed. Obviously a scam picture of ' Catherine Blythe ' and her work shop ! Never again ! I will contact the bank to see how I can get my money back.

Beware of blog.bagscatherine.com

Beware. This is another fake company from the producers of Grace’s handbags.
This is not the final sale of a traditional UK handbag workshop.
The storyline is fake, duplicated and cloned.
The bags come from China and are not handcrafted.
The bags are not leather.
They are insubstantial, poor quality materials and workmanship.
My Grace bag fell apart gradually over six months.
