Disgraceful ..

I have joined the big group who have had money taken from their account. Fortunately my bank alerted me to the second payment of £39.99 and I blocked my card before it was due. I am trying to get the first payment refunded. No idea how this happened, but I did unsuccessfully try to download a parking app around that time. Beware everyone these scammers are clever.

Following a fraudulent attempt from…

Following a fraudulent attempt from Smooth-hub.com to take an authorised payment of £39.99 from my credit card, I was advised by the Fraud Dept of my bank, that this lowlife company had also attempted to gain access to my account.
Thankfully by this time the card had long been cancelled
All this grief because I scanned a QR code at a local restaurant, which had obviously (unbeknown to me )been tampered with 😡

Scammers

Scammers. Took 3 payments of £39.99 before I realised. I was going back and forth with the bank to get my money recovered and they declined because I (unknowingly) approved the payments. I eventually used Chatgpt to answer their messages.

This script was especially helpful: 'The fact that you cannot see evidence of my security details being compromised does not alter the fact that this transaction was not authorised by me. Under the Payment Services Regulations 2017, I am not liable for unauthorised transactions unless I acted fraudulently or with gross negligence, which is not the case.

I therefore request that you escalate this as a formal complaint and provide me with a final response, so I can refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service if necessary.'

Took a few more tries but eventually I got 2 payments refunded by Blazarix. I am still chasing the 3rd one

Crafty scammers

Crafty scammers
I was trying to download a parking app and this company popped onto my phone screen.
Foolishly thinking they were collecting a 0.1p payment to verify card details on behalf of the parking app (evology) I then realised I was not downloading an app but subscribing to Blazarix. Fortunately the bank have blocked any further payments, the next would have been £39.99 in 3 days after their trial period. Gits!

Fraudulent payments of my credit card

Fraudulent payments of my credit card, like many others. 1p take a few days ago and £39.99 taken today, all still pending. Contacted CC company who will investigate.
Similar thing happened for a different fraudulent transaction a month back, picked that up and the CC company got the payment back.
Likely linked it seems, but how do they get the CC card information?

This company obtained £40 from my bank

This company obtained £40 from my bank. I have no idea how they have obtained my account details. Scam artists. I have contacted my bank to look at this. My bank are refusing to look at this as a fraudulent transaction.
I on this occasion have now lost £40 and looking at other people looks this will be a regular 28 day occurrence as my bank couldn’t be bothered.

BLATANT SCAM APP

This app appeared on my PC screen in the guise of a WhatsApp verification QR code when I tried to sign in to my WhatsApp account. I snapped the QR code, and it wanted verification that it was me by paying 1p on my debit card, which I thought I had done before in other similar situations. I was still under the impression it was WhatsApp, it then said that something had gone wrong and to enter my Google Pay security number, which at this point rang alarm bells. I closed the window and deleted the page. I then froze my Lloyds debit card just in case, but they had already got the 1p, which I wasn't that bothered about. I then went on Trustpilot and looked up Blazarix and realised I'd had a narrow escape, two days later Lloyds fraud department called me to say they had stopped a payment for £39.99 to Blazarix and had cancelled my card and are sending a new card and have stopped any future payments to these scammers, the chap i spoke to said they now automatically stop all payments to this app as its been flagged, hopefully other banks have followed suit, these Scum Bag Scammers need to be stopped

They stole my card details

This company tried to charge my credit card £39.99 at 4.30am. At 4.32am I received an email saying I had requested unsubscribing from Blazarix. I have never heard of this company and think they stole my card details whilst trying to register to make payments to my local dairy farm. They are just scammers. Fortunately my bank blocked payment.

Blazarix are commiting fraud

I subscribed to the channel 5 streamimg app for free content and in this process my bank card details were passed to Blazarix.com who proceeded to take £39.99 from my bank account without my consent.

I contacted my bank by phone (not the online form) to report this as fraud.

My bank investigated this and returned my money to me. I have just complained to channel 5 about this incident.

SCAMMERS

I have had £40 taken by this company & I don't even know who they are. Tried to download a Ringo Parking App & they stole my bank details & took £40. 1p followed by £39.99. I can't understand why my bank didn't prevent this. I saw it was pending & tried to stop it, but today it has been taken. I'm furious & can't afford to lose this amount. There's no way I signed up for a subscription, so how can they get away with it?
