High quality protective clothing for security at a reasonable price

I've found Bladerunner to be a very good company for protective clothing in the UK at a reasonable price. I have a hoodie, slash proof long johns, long sleeve tee and gloves from them (over several purchases, so I came back for more).

The company itself is very responsive if you have queries, and the clothing is comfortable enough and high quality. A word of warning on sizing - remember that slash proof clothing isn't going to stretch, so it's worth going up a size as you may find the correct size a little restrictive. The sizing charts on the site are accurate, but if I were to buy anything again, I would take the size above, simply to make getting clothing on and off or kneeling easier. Their return policy for the wrong size is good, just remember they are a small specialist company and you will be hit for postage.

Also bear in mind in summer that wearing everything simultaneously will definitely get a sweat on, so hydrate! Again, this isn't about the product specifically, but more about slash proof protective clothing in general. Door staff in the UK don't typically get issued any of this stuff and have to get it ourselves, so it's not common for us to know the ins and outs of protective clothing.

Thankfully, I've not had to test the clothing in a real world scenario except the gloves, picking up broken glass, and was grateful for them.

Quality is poor

Quality is poor. Latest expensive top I got, threading around both cuffs fell apart within first few weeks. They wanted me to pay for return, which was in the fine print apparently, or they offered £10 off. The top was around £150, so I just find this unacceptable. Especially since it is safety equipment with a level 5 cut resistance. I have never had to test this out thankfully. There is little review process, because if you review top on their site and leave negative feedback, nothing appears. Hence why I came to trusty old Trust Pilot.
