Worst Service Ever — DO NOT HIRE
Do not let the 5-star Google reviews or the slick Instagram ads fool you like they fooled me. I am convinced those reviews are completely fake. I hired Brooklyn Cleaning Services for a move-in clean because the apartment wasn't fully cleaned upon move-in, plus I just wanted to live in a clean home. I explicitly asked before booking if they provide a true, thorough deep cleaning and sanitizing service, and they assured me they did, heavily advertising their deep cleaning and steaming capabilities.
What I actually received for a ridiculous $298 for just 3 hours was an absolute joke. They did not deep clean, they did not sanitize, and they cut every single corner possible.
I literally saw them wiping down dirty, dusty surfaces with just a dry or damp cloth. No cleaning spray. No disinfectant. No sanitizer. They were essentially just moving the dirt around. I had to ask multiple times to use cleaners in areas that should've been a no brainer.
They completely skipped the window sills, the corners of the rooms, and the bathroom faucets. I had to point out basic areas that a standard clean—let alone a premium "deep clean"—should cover (I **HATE** being that type of client), but because there was a language barrier, I had to keep texting a coordinator on the phone, who would then have to call the cleaners to tell them to clean those areas. You should not have to micromanage a professional service.
The cleaners explicitly told me they had cleaned the inside of the medicine cabinet shelves. However, none of my personal products on those shelves had even been shifted or moved an inch. They didn't touch it, yet they said they did.
I deeply regret not checking Yelp or Facebook first, where the real reviews live. Unless you want to light $300 on fire and still have uncleaned areas, stay far away from Brooklyn Cleaning Services. If they claim they have "high standards," they are lying. Photos attached of uncleaned areas that they either redid or I caught after.
They also responded to the comments I left on Google and Yelp, lying about how everything went well. And then they posted more fake 5 star reviews. You can tell because the users have only the one review on their account.
