Read the ad. Pity it was either out of date......showing the incompetence of the site owners, or it was deliberately patterned on some of the common scams, also showing the incompetence of the site owners. But it caught me to write this, hope that pleases them

Such a shame , basic problems with lists recording your sightings . Tried twice to get through to a human in the chat but nobody replies and the bot ai responses become ever more infuriating. This should be an easy experience but it wasn’t for me
Like so many of these companies, so easy to be sucked in to the offer of "free" only to discover that it is a monthly payment, then really difficult to find out how you unsubscribe.
Beware

From all the google searches I made - I understood the Birda app was free to use.
Yet as soon as I registered & logged in I've been given notification that the first week only is free & there's a minimum monthly charge thereafter.
They may well be value for money & have competitive charges compared to other options but it appears they
are NOT free
EDIT - Now had a reply from John explaining the charges for BIRDA + which makes more sense - thanks for reply

Love love love Birda!
Such a great community, so informative and fun. I really love the fact that the community help me so quickly to identify birds that I’m struggling with. Such an easy app to navigate and some really fun features like the challenges and badges you can collect. Would 100% recommend to anyone that enjoys birding!
Birda had allowed me to keep a digital log of my bird lists. It allows me to share my sighting and session with a great and growing birding community and gives to the ability to connect with local birdwatchers.
It has a vast range of features from its sighting lists up to in-depth guides to help you identify birds you have seen. Recently an audio feature was launched allowing you to listen to songs and calls from a wide range is species.
It’s a fantastic and must-have app for any birdwatcher.
I love using Birda, there is a lovely helpful community. I can record all my bird sightings along with adding photos. There are some really good features like monthly challenges, bird guides and sounds! It keeps using the app motivational and interesting!
I have been looking for a friendly birding community for years! This is it, and then some!! The app itself is incredibly useful to log species and learn about the different birds you see. Plus the social aspect of the app and sharing all the lovely photos people have taken of birds it’s just a win win win 🤩
Birda is a great place to find a community of bird loving people! It’s full of people all over the world that share their knowledge to help others learn about different species! The app continually updates and grows to incorporate more helpful tools towards learning more about birds from all over the world!
