I wasn't in a hurry...

...therefore not too fussed about several delays in responding to my inquiries a few weeks earlier. I'd almost decided to try elsewhere when Waleed rang to check if someone would be at home later that afternoon. He then sent out a 2-man crew who completed the job in just under 1 hour, for $300 (labour only). Since then I've added a wi-fi extender and we now have shared NBN in the granny flat. All good so far. (I learned afterwards there's a $100 surcharge if someone needs to go into the sub-floor crawl space.)
