Even after reading all the TrustPilot…

Even after reading all the TrustPilot reviews, I took gamble buying a vintage table from Birch&Yarn, for £290. I even paid on credit card in case I receive a situation of challenging refund process or lack of customer support.

It did not get off to a good start. My tracking or order was never updated after payment. I contacted the company but no reply was received. I tried calling, went to voicemail every time even within their working hours.

Today, just over a week from payment, the table arrived, unannounced and quite a surprise! It is absolutely stunning (if you are into this sort of indian shic worn vibe). It was worth the mild worry alone. My gamble paid off, it seems. It is probably one of my favourite purchases of furniture in a long time, and the price was amazing, and apparently free postage as well. Thank you, whoever you guys are!

I think they could work on their contact and tracking system, as a lot of others have mentioned. But I am a happy customer. Will definitely shop here again.

Doesn’t seem to be any serious customer service. I received an item in June 2024 that was damaged and have had no correspondence despite many attempts at contacting them via email, telephone and on their website. The vintage cabinet had been damaged during delivery. I don’t blame the delivery company (Evri) as a thin bit of bubble wrap and single sheet thin cardboard was always going to end in this item being damaged by anyone. Especially since there were no "FRAGILE" stickers on it. Radio silence from Birch and Yarn.

ordered a bone inlaid mirror

ordered a bone inlaid mirror. The mirror arrived and the glass completely smashed. Rang them about 6-7 times. never any answer and left messages. No response to messages. Emailed them 4 times. Again not response. They simply were not interested once they had the money

Appalling company

Appalling company. Don't use it.
Still waiting for my order after nearly a year.
They don't respond to inquiries and just take your money and don't deliver the items. Avoid at all costs

Diabolical

Diabolical. 2/3 of first order was cancelled for no reason and rest took forever to arrive. No apologies or reason. Ordered an additional cover to make up for cancellation and paid in full. That has never arrived although they said it was delivered. No proof delivery and don’t answer e mails. They kept my money and I have nothing. Really nasty experience and sm left with one cushion cover that matches nothing and £39 out of pocket. Do not use them.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. I purchased a number of cushion covers, which are very beautiful, but one had a faulty zip. I rang the number given on the website, a mobile number, the man who answered the phone told me to put my query in an email. I did so immediately but a week later, still no reply. I also sent a message via the website's contact page. No answer. I tried phoning again, no answer. I left a message that was not replied to. On reading the other reviews, I can see this is a pattern. Basically, don't risk your money on this company because, if there is a problem you are very unlikely to see your money back. This is so sad because all the products I received are lovely but I dare not order from them again in the future.

A returns process that doesn't work

We have received a damaged product from Birch and Yarn on 6th June. On 9th June, we sent an email requesting refund and enquiring the returns process with proof of damaged product attached. We received no reply. We sent a follow up on 13th and 18th June and still no reply. We called the number on their website multiple times during 11am to 7pm (hours of operation) and it went to voicemail. Their Instagram doesn't accept messages from anyone, so not a good channel of usage either. It's almost the end of the month and our money is stuck and nobody seems to be helping us with getting our money back. Terrible customer service and a returns / refund process that doesn't work! Would not recommend you buy from them - the products may be nice but the way they treat their paying customers is awful

I returned a clothing item to this…

I returned a clothing item to this company. This was in the form of a nightshirt. It was not suitable.
Birch and Yarn have not returned my money. They have been contacted about it. There is no change with this situation.
When reading their customer reviews I couldn’t believe the disappointment and frustration expressed by individuals on the site. Clearly there have been repeated issues for people, in Birch and Yarn resolving matters with them. This is far from acceptable in my view.

Wish I had read reviews

Wish I had read reviews. Silk sari dresses were not like any silk sari I have bought before. Very scratchy. Sent them back. Have had no reply about my refund. I’ve emailed and called. Not happy!!!😡

The reply says I have already been refunded. There is no record of a refund in my account. Where is the refund??

THEY ARE LIARS…..Beware!!!

Complete scam

They steal money. I ordered a cushion online. The item fee + £6 postage came out of my account. The following day I received an email stating that my order had been refunded; no reason given. I emailed back to ask why, received no reply. In my account the money that was refunded was for the price of the item, but not the £6 p&p. I wrote again, silence. It's clearly a scam company, I can't believe this isn't illegal. AVOID

Dreadful company AVOID.

Dreadful company AVOID.
Sent the wrong items that were advertised as 100% pure cotton, and were made of polyester. They will not get back to you. No refund. No exchange. I'm left with items I cannot use. They should not be allowed to operate.

Wish I’d read the reviews before ordering. Received a damaged item. Emailed several times to request a replacement and no reply. Tried them on social media - same story. Not sure what kind of operation they’re running but I’d avoid them at all costs. Not worth the risk

Trying to get in touch

It is a bit unfair for me to leave 1 star but I can't get in touch. All I want to do is get some information about delivery. The item I want is sitting in my basket but I want to know if there are stocks in the UK or does it have to be shipped from India. Makes you a bit nervous about placing an order if you can't speak to someone and the contact is a mobile numer.
