Your staff was fine
Your staff was fine, but the advertised Continental 27 inch 1 and 1/4 inch tires I ordered absolutely were not sized correctly. I measure the width when fitted and they were 29 mm, or very close to 1 1/8 inch, and the "630" mm bead diameter clearly was exaggerated. The tires turn out to be made in India, which knows how to make tires, I suppose, but Continental must have just bought a lot of tires and had their name slapped on it. The tires would be impossible to change if I have a flat on the road or trail. Extremely hard to mount, even for Continental's well-known tightness. As I'd mounted them and went for a test ride, I was told they're not returnable.

Great Customer Service on a Return
I wanted to return a relatively inexpensive item because I no longer needed it. I initiated the return with BikeTiresDirect and received a FedEx shipping label which I used for the return. Ten days after placing the package in a FedEx drop box FedEx was unable to trace the package. I contacted BTD by phone and after contacting FedEx themselves they immediately refunded my credit card for the full item amount without question. It was prompt, friendly, and great customer service!
