Feels safe and professional
I bought my gravel bike through Bikeflip and overall had a good experience. I think it's a similar platform as the bigger known competitor Buycycle, but Bikeflip is little bit cheaper for the buyer and much cheaper for the seller. Payment and verification went smoothly, and the bike arrived as described in good condition.
The only hiccup was the shipping via FedEx. Their communication was honestly pretty bad, and the delivery took longer than expected. But that’s definitely not Bikeflip’s fault. They did everything right on their side. All in all, really happy with the purchase. I’d definitely buy through Bikeflip again!

Would not recommend
Seller outright lied about the bike's condition. For some inscrutable reason, the company's policy completely ignores scamming. It covers many things, but not that a seller absolutely fails to deliver what's promised in his description of the item.
The bike was not only never ever cleaned, serviced or barely washed with water. The entire linkage, rear coil, headset and fork was creaking. Both wheels were wobbly. The opposite of what the overview said.
Reported a problem, which led to absolutely no action taken from the team. Only a confused seller, who proceeded to argue like a 10 year old as to why I didn't want to pay full price anymore.
Contacted support and was met by an employee with sub par grammatical english and shamefully poor communication skills. They could do nothing about it and no sort of guarantee could cover the trouble. Nor could they penalize the seller in any sort of way.

However, delivery with UPS wasnt that peachy. That isnt bikeflips fault, but effect on overall experience.

Five stars for our experience
We had a great experience buying a mountainbike on Bikeflip. The seller was very friendly. Also the packaging was great and the shipping went smoothly. It was picked up in Germany on a Tuesday evening and was delivered to us in the Netherlands not even two days later on Thursday morning.
