Company deleted legal complaint and blocked all communication
After my initial order was cancelled, I submitted a formal complaint through their support system. In that message I clearly referenced UK consumer-protection law (Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the ASA CAP Code) and stated that if the misleading international-delivery option was not removed within two weeks, I would refer the case to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
Soon after, the company deleted the entire ticket. I can no longer reopen that case, view my message history, or even create new tickets — their system simply ignores submissions. Meanwhile, their website still calculates international delivery and now fails with an “OpeningTimes module – an error has happened during application run” message instead of completing checkout.
I’ve preserved screenshots of the deleted-ticket notice, my original legal complaint, the checkout error, and all order, invoice, and refund details. This behaviour has been reported to the ASA and Trading Standards via Citizens Advice.
A company choosing to erase lawful consumer correspondence and disable further contact rather than fix a misleading offer says everything about its practices.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This shop did a raffle for their jelly cat tea bags, 1st they were doing a pound a ticket which gained you to be able to purchase the jelly cat at full price. After backlash they cut the raffle short and then knocked your raffle spend of the price

Disappointing Experience Due to Inventory Error & Unilateral Dispatch
I'm quite disappointed with my recent order from Bigwicks. I chose to purchase three Jellycat items from them specifically because of their seemingly good reputation on Trustpilot.
However, a day after placing my order, I received an email stating that two of the three items I purchased were actually out of stock and had been oversold due to an inventory error. Bigwicks proceeded to refund me for these two items and dispatched the remaining single item without contacting me to confirm if I still wished to proceed with a partial order.
Had I been asked, I would have chosen to cancel the entire order. The main reason I bought from Bigwicks was to consolidate my purchase and benefit from free shipping for all three items. Because of their inventory error and the subsequent unilateral dispatch, I was forced to buy the two missing items from another online shop. This resulted in an additional £3.95 postage fee for me, as the value of those two items alone didn't meet the free shipping threshold elsewhere.
This experience was frustrating and incurred an unexpected cost due to an error on Bigwicks' part and their decision to dispatch without prior communication. I believe customers should be consulted when significant changes like this occur to their order.

Quick delivery, Squawkatoo Jellycat is beautiful. Only criticism is packaging, just a plain grey bag is what is arrived in, would like to have seen a more personal touch but will defo order from here again xx

Was looking for Yankee Candle Sugared Apple which apparently is no longer available but to my delight found them in votive style candles on this website. I received my candles this morning BIG BIG DISAPPOINTMENT no scent from them whatsoever. Obviously lying in a warehouse for quite a while as the plastic on the candles was yellow and discoloured. Should have read reviews before purchase as I notice there is not one good review. Will not be ordering from this Co again and will not recommend it either. Bigwicks your wick is slowly burning 🤣🤣
Wick Maison Berger Burner Air Pur System 3P
I purchased the Wick Maison Berger Burner Air Pur System 3P, which clearly states on their website that the new Air Pur 3P fits ALL Maison Berger lamps. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit my Little Treasure Fragrance Lamp from Maison Berger. Obviously, I can send the item back, but I already put it in the lamp and filled it with the new oil which I bought from your company, only to realize that the Victoria (Gold) Small Fragrance Lamp Crown does not fit anymore. I am not happy to pay for the postage to return the item as it was clearly not my fault- very disappointed. The ticket system is not working to bring attention to this problem.

Fab customer service, my little girl picked out a Jellycat tiger for her baby brother from the Jellycat website but it was out of stock and also much cheaper on Bigwicks.
Carl from Bigwicks rang me a day or two after I placed the order to say the image on the website was wrong and the actual teddy was slightly different to what I thought I'd ordered and asked me if I still wanted to go ahead. Never had this happen before, usually any other company would just send it out without a word so I really appreciated this, especially as it is a gift from my daughter to give to my son for when he is born and she hand picked it for him.
The teddy arrived a few days later well packaged and perfect, and Bigwicks have now updated the image on the website. Such good customer service, so thoughtful and it really meant a lot to me given the sentiment behind the order. Would 100% recommend.
