Big issues in the past, most of them resolved
We've been using Bexio for 3 years and we've had similar problems to the others below, namely bank transfer problems, accounting problems with transactions that shouldn't exist. We had to use Accrio to clean up all the transactions and resynchronise them back into Bexio. Furthermore, I as an administrator do not use Bexio on a regular basis, but my employee does at least once a week. It is not helpful if you only show a warning about an outstanding invoice in my administrator account, but not in the account of my employee who is actually responsible for paying the invoices. She has all the permissions except the administrator's. We only had a few days left before you would have disabled our accounts.
I am still willing to give it 3 stars for the following reasons:
1. At the moment (end of 2023), most of our technical issues seem to have been resolved and Bexio seems to be working as intended, especially the very annoying bank transfer issues and when I, as an administrator, detect pending invoices in time.
2. The additional Salary plugin makes our life much easier.
3. For the small size of my company, Bexio still seems to offer the best value for money.
If Bexio prooves to continue to work this way for the next years, I am willing to increase my rating to 4 stars.
Update in March 2024: Over the last 3 months, I can confidently say that Bexio has been working without any problems for us. This is a huge improvement compared to earlier experiences. I have increase my rating from 3 Stars to 4 Stars.

Bexio Cannot Reliably Import Bank Transactions
Bexio changed the format for importing bank transaction files early in 2023 but failed to inform their paying customers. They also did not train their customer support people to identify and remedy the problem. After wasting hours on this fiasco, I still cannot import my bank transactions and there is no facility for manual override for the missing transactions. I have given up and am searching for a new platform so I can dump this junk software.

Shady Company Sending Phishing Emails & Spam!
I have been getting spam from this company. Phishing emails impersonating legitimate companies, coming from a nonsense jumble of letters (e.g. gfhj or hfyvjd) via bexio.com. They are frequently addressed to dozens of strangers in addition to myself. I recieve dozens of these emails per day and it is clogging up my email account, even WITH spam filters!

Price adjustment during the term without notice and without the possibility to cancel the subscription. According to Mr. Graf of Bexio it would be possible that Bexio could increase the subscription fees to 10'000 CHF and the customers would be forced to pay this...

Commercial practices on the verge of fraud
Seeing the number of complaints, I think there's no need to stress that you should get as far away from Bexio as possible.
Everything said is true. Bexio's business practices border on fraudulent. They renew your subscription automatically even though you've deleted your account. Basically, they force you to pay for the software even if you don't use it anymore. Tacit renewal of subscriptions is considered fraudulent under Swiss law, but Bexio plays fast and loose with words (even Swisscom, the kings of this scam, stopped doing it in 2018).
Add to all this the fact that Bexio's software is far from complete. With a quick search on Google or ChatGPT, you'll find much more complete alternatives that are nonetheless FREE.
Worst of all, they don't care what you think of them. It's as if they don't value the customer, but the $$$...
I strongly advise you to turn to others.

Their flagship tool does not work.
It is completely bug ridden and for most users will not work and nobody seems to know why.
The help desk is staffed by friendly amateurs that cannot help you. The actual assistance staff ignore you and never do the call backs they are supposed to do. Oh yeah but they still charge you.
After the reply below they tried to fix things for 2 weeks, claimed to fix it at least twice and did not (it was clear that it was not fixed). I now truly believe EVERYONE at this company is just hopeless incompetent.
You don't need to make the software better you just need to make it sure it WORKS!!!

Possibly useful but deficient product
Looks like a possibly useful product. I spent a couple of days learning, setting up chart of accounts and loading historical data, customer data etc only to find out that they do not allow mid-year VAT registration.
I cancelled my account and even though I cannot use their product due to their missing functionality, customer service could not guarantee I would not be charged. So possibly in addition to wasting time learning their deficient product I may now need to pay them CHF 500 for the pleasure. I will udpate if I get a response.

Bexio automatically renew the contracts for 1 year without any warning. They directly send you the invoice and don't even bother replying when you tell them you don't want to use their poor product anymore. Very short term vision of doing business...

Be careful, during the trial period an account manager will reach out to you and will propose you to enter a discount code. Do not do it, otherwise you will accept the TC and they will create a contract and will send you an invoice at the end of the trial version. Since the agreement will be the date of when you enter to discount code. This company is cheating and I will never work with them

Super bad accounting system - avoid at all cost
I created a Bexio account and wanted to test it a year ago, but realized that it doesn't comply with my business needs and never logged in to my account ever since. Despite the fact that I explained this to the Bexio support team, I still receive regular payment reminders to this day. And now they are threatening me by emails, messages, and letters to give my account to the debt recovery process. I'm not even sure that this is legal. If it is, then we definitely need to be protected by Swiss law as companies like Bexio only exist to steal from people and create problems.

We’re sorry about the circumstances but from side of bexio, everything happened correctly: For every bexio client there are the same policies and terms & conditions when they are in a contractual relationship with us: Unless the customer cancels no later than 30 days before the expiry of the respective term, the subscription is automatically renewed. You missed the account cancellation from your side, so this is why there was naturally created an invoice which has to be paid after our policies. That’s why we sent you several reminders. If you had canceled you account in time or payed the invoice, there would have been no further invoice or reminders and messages at all. So we ask for your understanding. Best regards, team bexio

No possibility to work in a team. When all of you need to access same data, replace each other, issue invoices when someone on holidays or on sick leave - you can forget it!
