Tasty oats ,bad posting

I ordered just before Christmas and I know bex was having a few problems obtaining the jars.
I had an email to say they had been dispatched but they did arrive for 5 days and the oats would have been out of date the next day but I put them straight I the freezer.

I took it up with Ben and she said that they had tried to deliver 2 days before but they hadn't because we because we are in a lockdown and my hubby is working from home.No delivery card through the door to sayvthey had tried but UPS are not reliable.

Anyhow,I did enjoy the oats very much .I has them a little frozen sometimes.

I am ordering again to give them the benefit of the doubt.

So disappointed....

I've been following bexfast on Insta for a while now. When I noticed they had special edition flavours on, I set my alarm for the release time and placed my order. I was so excited for them to arrive.

When they came one of the flavours I had ordered was missing and replaced with another flavour. I was disappointed because i ordered this especially for my daughter. I opened each pot before putting them in my freezer. Two of the pots toppings had gone all runny and was leaking out the side. I messaged bexfast straight away but it's been well over a week now and I've had no reply.

Since then I've tried all the flavours. To be honest only one of them did I really enjoy and that was the lemon cheesecake. The others didn't have much flavour at all. These pots are sold to be frozen but as soon as you defrost them they go all watery.  I actually had to pour the excess liquid out of each one.

Overall the pots are a total rip off. They look nothing like the images on social media. I totally agree with other comments I have heard. They should spend more time in working on their product and looking after their customers. This company is like so many online businesses. They are happy to take your money but have no idea of customer service. They will only reply to you if you have positive things to say about them or their company. Sadly I don't have anything positive to say about bexfast.

Soggy Oats

This is the issue I have with this company.

Repeatedly offers "limited" flavours, which sell out and then there's either a problem with insulation or jars.

The glass jars which are sustainable have been replaced for cardboard ones, with no price difference. The former can be reused the latter cannot, for example there is a reason why people pay more for sturdier resusable bags, I would not expect to pay the same price for the cardboard packaging.

The oats are watery, and soggy, flavour is reasonable but monopolised by the sogginess.

Customer service is touch and go, and could be a lot better. The owner will make videos on SM about the issues she's having but won't bother to respond. Note for Bex, we are not your friends we are clients of your business, if we pay for a service we expect replies not just random videos posted. If you have time to update on the repeated "limited" flavours you have time to respond to people.

Ignorant

Bexfast ignored my dispute via PayPal and so today PayPal decided in my favour. They’re refunding my whole order. She didn’t even bother to respond. So please make sure if she ignores you, (which is highly likely looking at reviews below), you raise a dispute with either PayPal or your bank.

I so wanted to give this company a…

I so wanted to give this company a chance, but it’s been 4 weeks and they’ve answered ONE email, basically saying it’s my fault I didn’t get my pots as I wasn’t in. Thing is, haven’t left the house since the day I placed the order, on the 3rd jan and I checked the tracking, and my end showed it wasn’t due to be delivered till the 1st feb! This was after waiting almost 4 weeks. I’d had the email saying they had left London on the 25th. Which means that they would have been in transit for a week! Her ice packs don’t even last that long! So they arrive on the 1st and have the 29th as the date on them! Couldn’t even use them. I emailed with proof on the 1st and have heard nothing. Customer service is terrible. So I’ve had no choice but to raise a dispute/chargeback via my bank, as my request for a refund has just been ignored. Trying to fob blame onto the customer, when tracking showed delivery hadn’t even been attempted yet is appalling. I will never use them again.

bland and flavourless & a rip off

bland and flavourless & a rip off
swear these used to taste better, but now they’re really dull and don’t taste of much at all. the pots are small and so overpriced - overnight oats are literally the easiest thing ever to make, you mix oats, milk and flavours the night before and leave it alone. nothing pricey involved. you can easily recreate the flavours as well if you look at the ingredients on her website - but for a fraction of the price. (and even if you’re short on time it won’t take 5 mins in the evening).
also, the customer service is rubbish, they’ve never replied to me once so thanks for that :))))

deffo won’t be ordering again

in summery: much cheaper & much tastier to make at home.

Order a little slow arriving but that…

Order a little slow arriving but that was ok as it was early January and everyone just getting over Christmas and new Year shutdowns.
Order arrived with the external packaging undamaged but inside 3 pots had their lids off, one of which had emptied itself over everything else. Very poor internal packaging.
I have emailed twice with photos asking for a refund for the ONE unusable pot, no reply!!!
Taste - Don't bother you can make nicer ones at home!!
Positives - Nice glass jars which you can reuse for other breakfast pots.

Bexfast pots are a treat

Bexfast pots are a treat, and I look forward to my orders arriving. The pots are very tasty, I would say more so the toppings, but also the general porridge is also nice. They are made with so much passion, and bex is smart, the flavours with the pots resembling cake I would say does match the pots. The lemon cheesecake, carrot cake batter and caramel crunch are delicious. I would give bex and her team slack for what a lot of people are stating r:e delays in recieving goods. Why? Because they are an upcoming and growing business. I would agree the pots are pricey for what they are, yet, especially being a hard working nurse, I deserve a treat each month (or more 😂).

Avoid the e-book, and non-existent customer service

After ordering breakfast pots previously, I thought I'd try her e-book and make them at home instead where I could adjust the flavours to suit my tastes better, and maybe enjoy the limited edition flavours that are so hard to order.

I placed the order for the e-book and it came through, only it's not an e-book, it's a massive pdf, with recipes printed over a double-page spread with white print on a coloured background. As I have a sight impediment, this made it impossible for me to read - as much as I enlarged the page, the printing was not clear.

I emailed to explain this and ask for a refund - absolutely no response from the company, not even an acknowledgement and a partial refund. The complete lack of customer service astounds me - if you've got time to be posting long messages on Instagram, you've got time to reply to your customers.

As I was then stuck with a useless pdf, this week I asked a friend to re-type the recipes into a document that I could use with an e-reader, at which point I discovered that these are not all recipes for breakfast pots! 10 recipes, 6 are for overnight oats, 2 for desserts, one smoothie and one for pancakes.

I should have been wary of that fact the recipes are not listed on the website - when you have ever bought a recipe book without knowing what's inside it, but given this is a breakfast pot company, why on earth would you feature anything other than breakfast pots. I liken it to buying a book on cakes and discovering 40% of the book relates to pies.

Brilliant Bexfast

I have been ordering from Bexfast for a few months now and highly recommend her. The Bexfast pots are innovative flavours, high quality, tasty and excellent value. Bex cares passionately about her small business and i have found her commitment to customer service to be second to none. On the rare occasion there’s been a problem she personally addresses it and puts it right- you just don’t get that personal touch from a lot of companies. I will be ordering these delicious breakfasts regularly because 1. they are fab and 2. you can absolutely trust that you will be treated like a valued customer.

Love the products unfortunately the CS…

I have made several orders from Bexfast over the last 2 years or so. Love the products (carrot cake is lush) but unfortunately the CS response times are poor and not very good communication when orders are delayed/taking longer than the normal and advertised 8-10 working days. As a customer its frustrating waiting so long for an item and then seeing new posts being made while you're still waiting, saying the delivery scales are shorter than they actually are. Also was promised a replacement pot for an order which had a bad one in, messaged them to ask/remind them of this freebie before I made my next order, and I still didn't get it.
I like the product and like the ethos but unfortunately they have overstretched thenselves beyond the numbers they can deal with. Quantity over quality. I had to unfollow the social media as others said the pouty posts got a bit much for me and I wonder if Bex needs to have 2 separate social media pages, one for people interested in just the pots and one for people interested in the more personal posts she makes.
I will return as a customer in the future as and when the company is able to offer a decent level of service/delivery times, especially given the price of such a premium product, the service does not meet the standard I'd expect for the prices.

False labels

Was going to generous but then she decided she didn't want to hear feedback. Bexfast is not healthy, she doesn't seem to understand sugars and thinks maple syrup is healthy. She also doesn't understand about making claims that her pots are "healthy". They do not taste like cake, I've tried one from a friend and they are watery. They didn't have a best before/use by date, it is assumed you will know this. As others have stated, it's easy to make your own, healthier too. £5 a pot is excessive.

Tasty little brekkie pots

Bexfast pots have kept me going when I didn’t feel like cooking much. I live in Central London and my two orders arrived within the estimated time and in good condition. They’re easy to freeze and taste yummy. The tastiest flavours are choc raspberry, pomegranate fudge, pumpkin spice and caramel crunch. Some of the flavours are bland like the banana choc pot and Black Forest gateau, and the caramel crunch doesn’t taste of caramel but more like a Snickers bar. It’s a shame some of the best flavours like pomegranate fudge are not available all year round. The delivery time does seem a bit long in this day and age, especially for £6. I wonder if the owner needs to relinquish control a bit and accept outside investment. Sometimes you need to give away a bit of your company to achieve growth, especially when you are having the same problems over and over...it’s a bit embarrassing to read her Instagram posts. Does make me wonder when my pots will arrive! I guess I’m okay as I live within 10 miles of the Bexfast kitchen.

Orders take too long

Orders take too long, they don't taste like cake and are not all natural/healthy, some of these contain added sugar in the form of maple syrup which is not a natural sugar, perhaps the owner should look into free/natural sugars before making such claims. The taste as others have said can be a bit watery, and I do agree that they must be allowing more orders than they can complete, hence the long time for these to arrive. The are also costly at £4.99 per pot, it's much cheaper to make overnight oats at home. The lemon drizzle cake has some sort of biscuit at the base but this isn't listed in the ingredients, unclear why it's been omitted..

Unfortunately the pots didn’t arrive

Unfortunately the pots didn’t arrive. When I looked into this I saw the UPS had delivered it to a computer store where it stayed all weekend. Over £30 of breakfast pots had gone off.

Tried contacting the company via email and Instagram and no one responded which is so disappointing. I bought from them as I love supporting small businesses and my other friends who have small businesses spoke highly of the owner but I feel totally let down :(.

4 weeks for delivery not acceptable

4 weeks for delivery not acceptable, then delivery was delayed with courier, box not marked perishable either just fragile. This business is fragile and while she may do well locally, clearly can not handle anything nationally.
Tried a pot when they arrived and have to say it was rather bland, no taste sensation.
Don’t bother emailing, I sent 3, not one was responded too. I think this person is too busy pouting in front of the camera on Instagram.
Won’t use again.

Will not order again!

Waited 4 weeks for my 1st order. Ok, but don't taste like cake. Placed another order for limited edition flavours, waited 5 weeks, received an email apologising saying they would be with me the following week. No sign of them. Emailed 2 weeks later, finally got a response after 3 emails and 2 private messages, apologising that the courier can't deliver to Scotland in the timescale for them to be fresh??? Yet, I received the 1st order?? I did receive a refund, but i won't order again and I wouldn't recommend. I do agree with other reviews, alot of time spent on Instagram, facebook etc.. & not replying to customers ref their orders

Not worth the hype, buy the ebook and make these at home instead

These kept popping up on my Facebook feed, and as I like overnight oats, I thought I'd give them a go. I'm not vegan, but liked the idea of 'cake style' breakfast and no refined sugar or nasties.

I ordered a box of 6 costing £27.50, but with most of the flavours out of stock, I ended up with 4 different flavours. I justified the cost partly because I knew I could re-use the glass pots.

Delivery time was stated as being 5 working days but once my order was confirmed, this was updated to 8-14 working days. The order arrived 12 working days after ordering, so not as horrific as others experience. The order was left on my doorstep, despite me being in (UPS being as poor as Hermes in this respect), but luckily the packaging meant everything was still cold when I rescued it - each pot was wrapped in brown paper, then placed into a reflective bubble wrap cold bag and sat on 2 freezer packs.

So onto the flavours. This is where I was disappointed. They looked fantastic, on opening the pots you're greeted with seeds and coconut, and the layers of cashew cream, fruit or date caramel look tasty. There's just not very much, it's mainly tasteless, watery oats which I put down to using vegan 'milk' and no natural sweetener (vanilla essence, maple syrup or coconut sugar being vegan options). Freezing and defrosting made the contents even more watery, but as the shelf life is only 5 days, you need to freeze them unless you are buying for multiple people.

Choc banana coconut - tasted overwhelmingly of coconut, couldn't taste banana at all
Caramel crunch - no caramel flavour, was mainly peanut (had it been called peanut crunch, I wouldn't have ordered)
Cacao and raspberry - this was my favourite, the cashew cream was lovely and smooth
Carrot cake batter - all I could taste was cinnamon, there were a couple of strands of carrot but they didn't add anything to either the flavour or the texture.

The concept is great, but I feel that Bex should have stuck to small orders distributed through local delis, as I'm sure the cost of sending these out means she's had to skimp on the more costly ingredients to make them cost effective.

The business model is clearly to get lots of orders in, and then bulk make to order. It simply wouldn't be sustainable to make a handful of orders each day. But it would be better to be upfront rather than suggest the order will arrive in a week and it then take 2 weeks or more.

I won't be ordering the pots again, but I will order the e-book to get inspiration for other flavours that I can make at home, adding sweetener and dairy to suit me better.
