I took the resident directors course it was amazing even i am part of a 3 flat block which is simple to manage our selfs i now realise there is more legal things which i did not know about.

I had a very helpful one hour video consultation with Bernie. Included in the price was a written report and during the call Bernie confirmed we would also receive a recording of the zoom call.
More than a month has passed now and despite several emails, FB messages etc I have not received a reply or indeed the report or recording. It is a shame because the call itself was very helpful.

It was a real pleasure speaking with Bernie. He gave insightful answers to all my questions as well as some suggestions on how to proceed with my specific matter. His knowledge of leasehold is second to none and I will definitely be calling on him again in the future. Thanks again Bernie!

Bernie is the best I have come across in the area of lease extension matters - an absolute authority.

I have needed to ask some questions of Bernie Wales recently and he has always been extremely helpful, especially in giving me some valuable advice regarding a particular piece of legislation, that of s20.

For al matters regarding leasehold Bernie Wales is my 'go to' with 40 years or so of experience in the field.

Fantastic knowledge and value for money. I should have consulted Bernie months ago as he cut through and completely cleared up my position as a leaseholder being challenged by the Directors of my freehold company. He prepared diligently before our meeting and I left with clear next steps.

Ive just completed the leasehold lessons course which answered many questions I didn't know I needed to know as a resident director of our resident management company. I feel much more confident going forward in that role. I have more questions regarding a difficult relationship with our freeholder but having taken Bernie's advice to RTBL I'm sure that he will be able to answer those questions that have arisen!

My consultation with Bernie has been an excellent investment of time and money. He was able to explain documents to me I had found a challenge to understand, highlight areas that needed progressing and set my mind at rest about other matters. He has been generous with his time and advice and I have no hesitation in recommending him for consultations or training. In fact I'd suggest it should be an essential part of conducting due diligence if you do not have his level of expertise.

I wanted to be sure my lease was was I thought it was as I don’t understand the jargon. One of the things I did not realise is you can only rent to to a person for max 1 year and as I am buying a tenant in situ this would be a problem my solicitor did not tell me also she did not tell me about the terms of % payments to funds can change from 33% to 66% depends on how the freeholder feels about the repairs in hand thanks Bernie !

As one of the active participants in our Enfranchisement project managed by Bernie Wales, I know that 11 of 12 people I spoke to were EXTREMELY HAPPY with the results he and his firm delivered, the outcome was BETTER than expected, ON TIME and BELOW BUDGET.

Bernie was a regular communicator, clearly exceptionally well skilled in his field, and managed to get us more (eg allocated parking spaces in the estate's Common Areas), good pricing from a very belligerent and obstructive Freeholder and their agent, and made sure all the legal Ts&Cs were done to an exhaustively detailed level of correctness.

He also made arrangements to minimize risks throughout the process.

This was my second (and smoothest) purchase of Freehold, so I know how fraught with delays and complications the process is. As such I whole-heartedly agree with our Director's comments, and recommend Bernie as a focused, client-centred and decent man who delivers beyond his promises.

June 2022. Bernie has been absolutely brilliant dealing with an alleged breach of the lease and ground rent issues with Simarc. I was at my wits end and felt total despair at the situation, as I felt harassed, bullied and intimidated by Simarc for something not of my making - claiming that a garage conversion that was done 10 years prior to my purchase of the property in 2019 had no consent and they blocked me from making ground rent payments until it was resolved. Bernies expertise and knowledge of the law got this matter dropped.

I thought it was fantastic value and appreciated Bernie taking the time to go through everyone's questions and provide thorough answers. It’s great having the videos available for downloads and all the supporting material.
