Bents customer care service.
As can be seen by Bents reply they contacted me directly and fully rectified both situations mentioned in this review. Consequently it would be unfair to base my review on these two isolated incidents. Staff have been spoken to and it has been fully explained regarding the dangers of the hot milk. I am sure neither incident would reoccur.
This review takes in two recent experiences. Number one and the most dangerous. Myself, wife, daughter and grand child went to the main restaurant. Three coffees cake and baby chino were ordered. The baby chino on arrival at our table was giving off steam! I tested it and it was scalding. I returned to the counter with the drink and the woman on the till was a bit taken aback. However the woman who had made up the drink stated and this is a quote "it is a baby chino"! I had to request cold milk be added and pointed out my grandson could have been scalded. This made no impression on the woman. This happened before Christmas. We left and I did not pursue the matter further although I was and remain very annoyed. Number two today I attended at the dog friendly cafe. I waited my turn with my two dogs in a small queue. Once at the till which was pre 10 o'clock I was informed there was no sausage or bacon left. I enquired could some be brought from one of the other cafes to be told no the dog friendly cafe had been hammered earlier and was now sold out! I could have a tea cake, not much use to my dogs. Come on Bents customer service is slipping. There is a butchers department and other kitchens how hard would it have been to get more hot food delivered to that

Beware Bents online store
Beware Bents online store. I bought 2 Henry Bell bird feeders as they had them instock. 4 days later when I am expecting delivery I receive an email saying we don't have the stock, unbelievable. Is it your customer serivices that is ultra slow or your computer system needs replacing. Extremely disappointed. VERY POOR ALL ROUND.

Great staff and excellent place to visit
A great place to visit and shop, as we do on many occasions. We have always found all the staff to be friendly and helpful, and after our visit today, we wanted to say a particular thank you to an employee, Sam Dunn, who we felt went 'above and beyond' with excellent customer service in sorting out price adjustments on recent purchases. We very much appreciated the time she gave us on a very busy shopping day.

Shop is great
Well my husband and I came to have a good look round shop yesterday. Very good sales on which was brilliant.
So went to restaurant to get something to eat. We all decided on soup of the day. Which we all thought it was very good. I did ask the lady who served us was it any way spicy or peppered as cant eat anything like that. Lady said would you like to try some I said would that be okay. She gave me a dish to try it. Which was fine.with the bread too. We decided to get a custard slice which was very nice but I had 2 spoons of it then I saw as I thought was ant🐜. It put me off so I decided to take it back to lady were cakes where. She said oh looks like a fruit fly. I asked can I take another piece please she said do you want something else. I said no just custard slice which I thought was nice apart from either ant or fruit fly either way I wasn't going to eat something that's been walking over my food.
This is second time I have complained about my food. Which isn't very good.
You can ask lady on cake counter was this right. Don't know her name but around 1pm to 2.30pm
Let's hope next time it will be right and I won't have to complain again. Mrs S. Field .

Disappointed with food
Had a scone and drink so disappointed scone was dry neithermysf or husband only ate about half. Didn't really fancy much else not good choice of soup for us looked at other food but nothing appealed. Thought couldn't ho wrong with a scone but I was wrong

I was so disappointed I was really looking forward to receiving my order and then got a notification one item was sold out and then when the order arrived I was horrified to find 3 of the items were broken one of them quite badly so I will have to now return it

Item arrived damaged
Item arrived damaged , not in transit because was small item delivered in excessively large packaging , had to make a trip to the tip to dispose of it !
Item is ornamental , had ribbon etc hanging off . no replacement available online so will have to keep and glue bits back on.

I ordered two of same item only one came however I was notified. You shouldn't have taken payment for two. Also one of my items is broken so I will have to return. Very disappointed from a store which is usually A +++

Disappointing online order experience
Really disappointed to be one of first to order online in the Xmas sales; to then have half my order cancelled due to stock availability. Then upon receipt of my order - 4 items were broken; and 1 wasn’t received.
I was refunded but don’t have most of my order.
