It’s proved difficult to find a structural engineer that has been willing to work on a demanding project with short timescales. Benco provided calculations and drawings as well as welcomed advice on a retaining wall, roof terrace and basement project. Always available to talk on the phone to discuss details which was most welcomed.

We chose Ben through our architect and had a great experience. Ben completed the structural drawings on time. When the time came for the building regs drawings to be submitted he noticed that the foundations needed to be redesigned to accommodate a sewer. He re-designed the foundations and made himself available for our builder to discuss the details and finalise the drawings. Very happy and would use Ben again.

Great service, friendly and professional

I called Ben very last minute for a structural problem that we didn't foresee and he visited the same day, took measurements and provided the plans for sorting everything out within 48hrs.
Very friendly service and will use again as and when we will be able to extend the house.

We worked with Benco design at so many projects. They are experienced with connection designs and calculations. Building controls were always happy with their work. They have reasonable prices.

We have used Benco Design for our extensive renovation and extension of an old house. They were quick to respond any time we needed them and we needed them few times, since the builder made few mistakes as they did not follow the engineer drawings. I strongly recommend of employing structural engineer to oversee the building process. I also strong recommend services of Benco Design.

Unfortunately, i would not recommend Benco designs. They are friendly enough but sometimes it was difficult to get hold of them and they made some basic mistakes which had a big impact on the builders plans. My builder had to get Benco designs to redo the plans, quite a few times. In the end my builder said they eventually just sorted it out themselves.

When the mistakes happened they didn't take responsibility for it and tried to make excuses.
