Belverdale have just done a complete refurbishment of a small flat for my elderly Mother and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Led by the mighty Steve Scudder, the team are ultra efficient and their work is top quality. Steve arrived on day one with an impressive army of great workmen who each understood their role and did their job brilliantly and efficiently. They inspired confidence from the start, seeing only solutions not problems and they all worked in tandem to complete their role punctually and capably. Communication was excellent at all times and Steve’s charisma and positivity charmed my Mum who was a rather anxious and demanding client! He could not have been more helpful in accommodating requests and changes and he is blessed with a team of people who are not only great at their jobs but lovely to have around. In only 10 weeks, they transformed Mum’s flat into a beautiful new home. The only problem now is that it’s so nice, she’s worried about messing it up!
These guys are real pros and nice with it. Look no further!

Belverdale were brilliant. From day one Steve had everything under control. They delivered the project to a top quality finish all while being on track with the programme dates.

As with any construction project problems occur, especially when extending on existing houses however Steve had an answer to any issue that popped up and it was solved efficiently and on time. The only experience Belverdale bring to the table shows, especially when awkward interfaces require a well thought out solution.

His team is very well skilled and work together really, also just good lads in general with good experience and workmanship.

The extension included some bespoke detailing recessed spotlights, shadow gap skirting and even curved plastered walls - again all delivered magnificently.

What I appreciated the most was the confidence Steve and his team brought to the job, they took the building related stress right out of the equation by keeping everything on track and under control. Full transparency with the project programme, finances and sub contractors. We couldn’t be happier with the final product and are really pleased with our revitalised home.

After a nightmare experience with rogue builders on a recent conservatory conversion, Steve and the entire Belvedere team have restored my faith in the building trade! This is the second time we have used Belverdale for a house renovation and they've once again done a superb job. Attention to detail was brilliant and they completed on time. Open communication throughout and despite the usual issues on large projects, they were all sorted without fuss or hassle.

Belverdale recently completed a project on our Victorian Coach House – a total refurbishment of upstairs, a new double height extension with new landing and stairs, conversion of garage space into two rooms and a slab foundation ready for a future phase of work.  Steve and the team were outstanding.  We needed the work completing in 9 weeks or less and they finished ahead of schedule.  The quality was excellent throughout.  The team are expert craftsmen always happy to discuss details, and are tidy and considerate in the way they work.  The plumber was particularly good.  The final price was very close to the original estimate.  The estimate was comparable with others that we had received, but because the work was finished on time to a very high standard and there were no delays or extras to pay for it was excellent value for money and we couldn’t recommend them more (and already have!). We will definitely use them again in future.

Belverdale did a renovation of our 160 year old house modernising the entire ground floor with wall removals, reconfiguration, windows, electrics, plumbing and all the other things that unravelled when discovering decades of DIY workarounds. Absolutely fantastic throughout. Attention to detail, great team of all trades and responsive to snags and quality control throughout. Even went above and beyond to ensure an error with the windows from the manufacturer was addressed after the main job complete. Highly recommended.

We originally contacted Belverdale to help with some internal and external remodelling. this consisted of the removal of an existing structural wall between the kitchen diner, removal of a chimney stack, changing a flat roof to a pitched roof, some internal remodelling and a new bathroom and sliding doors to the rear.

We originally obtained around 6 or 7 quotes from various builders, whilst Belverdale weren't the cheapest quote, nor the dearest, from the first meeting we got a very good vibe from Steve and he gave us confidence that Belverdale were the best people for the job and could deliver our build to time, cost and quality.

We had moved out during the build, and having two young children and being in rented accommodation added additional pressure to the build needing to be completed on time. We ended up adding a large amount of additional works, new radiators throughout, new boiler, new skirts, door frames, doors, and additionally joinery such as picture rails and dado rails throughout (essentially a full renovation). Despite the additional works, the build was delivered to time, quality and budget.

One of the main things which my wife and I appreciated was Steves commitment to ensuring that we were happy with all of the outputs. We found Steve very responsive to a long list of questions we had throughout the build. We also found him very easy to work with, using humour when there were times of pressure, which helped us manage things, this gave us confidence that we were in safe hands.

Steve clearly has a very good team surrounding him, and this ensures that the various trades who are working on the job remained close to the plan of works and where issues occured, Belverdale were responsive and ensured that issues were solved quickly.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Belverdale, and we plan to use them in the future on some additional investment projects we plan to do in the future.

Steve, Reece and the entire team work diligently and to a very high standard. Planned dates almost always became delivery dates; any delays were necessary, communicated well and problems resolved as soon as they could be. We had a single storey extension done and although it wasn't the most complex build the team had come across, we felt that they treated it as if it was the most important.

Belverdale are friendly, knowledgeable, considerate and very good value for money. Steve is brilliant. Nico is relentless in his detail. The plasterers, carpenters, electricians, glazers and gardeners are all of the highest quality and genuinely good people. The extension and landscaping we've ended up with is everything we wanted it to be and a testament to how well they all work as a team.

We had someone on site almost always daily - often a small team - and the project was delivered in around 4 months from conservatory demolition to extension final fitting including a roof renewal, glazing and a chimney breast removal. This was quicker than we'd anticipated.

When the time comes to buy our next house I'd be less concerned about buying somewhere that needed work doing now I know I can rely on Belverdale.

We had Belverdale to our office to convert some space into 2 office spaces they did a fantastic job. On time, clean quality installation. Would definitely use them again!

We’re so pleased to have Steve and his team back for phase two of our renovation after they did such a brilliant job with phase one. The first stage involved knocking through multiple walls downstairs — no small task — but the whole team were super helpful, full of great ideas, and incredibly respectful of our space throughout. They kept the site as clean and tidy as you could hope for (especially for builders!) and were always flexible and easy to work with. Yes, they’re at the pricier end, but honestly, you get what you pay for — top-quality work, great communication, and a team you can trust. Highly recommend!

We engaged Belverdale under a JCT Intermediate Buildings Contract for the full remodeling and refurbishment of our 1930 large residential detached property in Hale. The works included large side and rear extensions as well as works to increase the size of the basement. Additional complexity was added as I wanted to split the works and carry out the M&E and Architectural fit-out works myself in order to utilise my previous construction experience and save some costs. We had to jointly deal with some challenges as we progressed the works but we worked with Steve and his team to deliver our fabulous house and we are all proud of the final finished project. Steve was helpful throughout the project by providing useful contacts of other trades / suppliers to help us complete our project. We also thank Steve for his commitment at the end of the project to close out any small issues we had.
