Great business and products.

Spoken to both Nicola and Tobyn at Bell tent re general queries and getting damage rectified that wasn't their fault.

The outcome was great, I got a response back within a few hours to my text query and Nicola also picked up when I called to resolve something.

The quality of the product is great and their attitude is also helpful.

Cant ask for more than that, ive noted a few less positive reviews, but bear in mind a small business doesn't have a large team waiting to answer the phone, that said, I got my issue resolved very promptly and without making too much effort.

Great product. Friendly staff, all good !

The elastics not UV resistant

The elastics used to attach the tent are not UV-resistant and were therefore brittle after a short time. Bell Tent has admitted that the rubber rings are not UV resistant, but believes that the problem is due to our tent being outside for a serveral weeks. After some tedious email correspondence, Bell Tent offered to supply free replacements of the same quality at a cost of £19.99. We have decided against this and will look for another, more permanent solution.

Great customer service

I bought an awning for my bell tent. At first outing I noticed a tiny hole in the canvas. Customer service was exceptional.I was offered various options by return email and my choice was sorted straight away. All very straight forward and communication was a pleasure

Chloe went out of her way to hook up a phone meeting with the CEO, They both spent time to educate me on canvas bell tent glamping and what I needed to think about before setting up my own glamping business.

Amazing Bell tent dreams

Bell tent dreams were amazing from the time I booked for my
Daughters 30th birthday, they answered all my questions and provided a great service. The tent was beautifully decorated and admired by everybody who came to her birthday weekend. I would definitely use them again and can thoroughly recommend them.

Firstly we asked you if the stove could be the issue hence you kept us waiting 3 weeks for a reply from stove company.
Then you said we had used wet wood and suggested we treated the stove as a Furness. We then questioned the quality of the canvass which you said was the same. Your product has no warning of embers burning through the canvass and as stated in previous email and review we suggested you could add this to your product details a warning? Especially having had our first Ultimate Pro 5 metre and never having had the problem in the 4 years of its regular use.
Along with the same seasoned hardwood we purchase from local reputable wood supplier. We are now up to 16 patches of repair in your product. And you say it’s a minor aesthetic issue?
I have to disagree I think your new Ultimate model is an Ultimate waste of money and would strongly advise you put a warning regards use of wood burning stoves in your product.

First bell tent, 4 years ago…..amazing. Great with frontier stove.Then upgrade to a new model, mesh pro, spent £1700 along with Orland stove which is awesome. Unfortunately, using seasoned wood made cinders that started to burn holes in the canvas. We questioned this and was kept waiting for a reply as Bell-tents said it was contacting stove company. Never had this issue with the first tent and used it all year round with never any burns. Stove Co said we had used poor quality wood which caused the problem though we used the same quality wood throughout with previous tent and had no issues. What Bell tent co don’t say is there is a danger of damage and I personally think buyer beware that although the new tents look awesome, I personally think canvas is possibly not as good a quality and to blame on stove company was just passing the buck . Four weeks later I was advised to buy patches as they will fix the problem. Yes, the patches would mend the holes but the tent company has lost our faith and I won’t be a retuning customer having spent a few thousand pounds with the company . Maybe a disclaimer would be appropriate Bell-tents uk encourages having stoves in your tents and using the right wood which we obviously had in our first model with never any issues . Buyer beware. The product looks amazing but we believe some issue with retardancy is the problem . Possibly different canvas. Disappointed as we have been good customers and won’t be returning. ,Poor service, bad communication and something to bare in mind when spending such an amount of money having had great faith in previous product. I don’t blame the stove company and canvas seems much thinner on new model though Bell tent uk deny this is the case.

We are really sorry that you are not happy. Looking through the many correspondences on this issue, we can see that your original issue was about the stove itself / using wet wood and you have now progressed to it being about the canvas.
We do not sell our tents as being fireproof, and any canvas product will get burnt if 'live' sparks land on it.
Your new tent is from our 'Pro' range and therefore is made from a heavier grade of canvas than the one you got 4 years ago but both will be affected in the same way by burning sparks.
From the pictures you have sent us, we can see that the panels around your stove hole have several little burn holes that you have sealed with Tear Aid or a similar product, so the tent is still fit for purpose, just slightly marked.
Again, we are sorry you are not happy and that we can’t help further, but our warranty does not cover these types of accidents as they are not a manufacturing issue.

I'm still waiting for a refund since I…

I'm still waiting for a refund since I returned a tent in May, it's now the end of August. I sent an email a month ago but no response. Tried phoning no answer.
Very slow response to emails from begining.

We have been having some issues with our phone lines this week, due to technical issues with O2, which have since been resolved. Apologies you were not able to get through when you tried to call!

After you refused delivery, your return got lost in transit with the courier and did not arrive back at our warehouse. We were not made aware of this until you got in touch by email on 24/08/2021 to query your refund.

Our policy requires that we wait until the returned item arrives at our warehouse before the refund is processed. However, on this occasion, we were happy to offer your refund whilst the courier is investigating the whereabouts of your returned item, due to the length of time it had been missing.

I can see your refund has since been processed, but don't hesitate to get in touch if there is anything else we can do to help.

Amazing customer service

Amazing customer service . I had left it to the last minute to get an 18 th birthday present for my son . They guided me though choices and when I asked them if they could speed up the delivery - they made extra effort to have it shipped in a day for a small fee . They were friendly , helpful and knowledgable . The tent is great , really good quality , instructions are easy to follow with pictures. What a great company !

Great company

Lovely Tent

I wasn't sure which size of Bell Tent to buy. There are usually two of us camping and occasionally three. Obviously the larger the tent the heavier, so I was hoping the 4 metre tent would feel roomy enough for 2 of us plus air bed and chairs and a small table.
I phoned belltent.co.uk and they invited me to view a tent at their warehouse and discuss my requirements.
I said that I liked the idea of buying a tough tent which could be used in all climates and the 4 metre Pro Mesh Bell Tent particularly appealed to me.
When I arrived at their premisis the team had a 4 metre Pro Mesh Tent ready to view. It wasn't pitched with pegs. They merely inflated it with what seemed like a leafblower. I stepped inside and immediately realised that this 4 metre version would be perfect.
I purchased the 4 metere Pro Mesh Tent tent and we have pitched it in our garden during lockdown and camped for a few nights in North Yorkshire during a very wet and blustery late August.
In heavy wind the air blows around and over the tent which feels very stable ,strong and secure.
It was lovely to be in a canvas tent and to be able to adjust the amount of ventillation by unzipping or zipping windows. No stiff necks in the morning from cold draughts!
I am extremely pleased with the quality and design of this tent and found the team at belltent.co.uk very freindly, knowledegable and helpful.

Excellent outback frontier stove

Excellent outback frontier stove. Shame the little ash tray didn’t fit. I got so frustrated with it I put it in the bin. It just didn’t fit. 😤Otherwise it’s a great little stove and heats up my Bell tent Excellently!!!

Good Customer Service

After posting this review the customer service contacted me. They tried their best to sort out my problem which took a lot of mailing back and forth. I honestly don’t understand some of the decisions they made which only seemed to complicate the matter (such as booking the collection of my flawed tent on days I made clear I was not available). However, I did receive a new tent in December after the flawed one was sent back.

I’m very grateful for all the work the specific CS employee put into getting me a new tent and I feel confident that they will offer great assistance with any possible problems in the future.

I received my tent in June (which was flawed) and have been trying to get in touch with Belltent UK several times since then, with not a single reply from their customer service. It’s been four bloody months!

Now I understand that smaller businesses might be struggling this year but it’s getting absurd. Maybe it’s because I don’t live in UK and they don’t want to deal with the shipping cost, or maybe they do this with every customer.

Considering how expensive the tents are I definitely expected more from Belltents customer service. It’s not even like I asked for a refund. I just want another tent that’s not flawed.

If you decide to order from this company, cross your fingers and hope you don’t need to return it. Because you likely won’t be getting your money back, or a new tent for that matter.

Amazing service from Belltent.uk

Amazing service from Belltent.uk. I showed up at their warehouse without an appointment and the gentleman there took it upon himself to show me the tents, comparing the 3m and 4m, highlighting the differences, taking the time to advise on how to pitch and re-pack. He even went above and beyond the call of duty when, upon finding out I had come on the tube, he drove the tent for me to the station. I’m really looking forward to our next camping trip but meanwhile, I cannot recommend enough the customer service from Belltent.
