A 4 night stay - would return

Visited for a 4 night stay - was very nice and we enjoyed it very much despite some poor weather in September. Will definitely return.

We stayed in the Forest Cabin at the Lake Resort which was basic but offered enough space for 3 of us. The beds were comfy, shower was great. The kitchen was lacking an oven and toaster but didn't stop us cooking a decent meal each night. Ability to park at the lodge was a bonus.

Other facilities were great. The swimming pool at the Lake Resort was fantastic. 2 pools for adults and a separate pool for toddlers. The slides were great fun. Maybe helped that is was super quiet so loads of space to go on the slides as much we wanted.

The zoo itself was fantastic. Having the attraction pass included with the accomodation meant we could go in and out whenever we wanted. The signage could be better, sometimes a little tricky to know where to go. Prices for the food & drink slightly over priced but to be expected really.

The car safari was fantastic, especially when it started raining. The animals come really close to the car and you get to see a different variety of animals than you see in the main zoo.

The animals looked really well looked after and lots of space for them. They had decent numbers of each too (we counted 18 giraffes).

The local town, Tilsburg, had some supermarkets (Lidl/Aldi) which meant we could easily get supplies cheaper than the onsite Spar supermarket.

Went on the 14th aug

Went on the 14th aug. very warm day, bus safari was not going, the show of the Eagles ect was not going. No one said anything. Very poor signage, downloaded the app which was no help. We than did the autosafari which was much better.
Have to say personeel were very friendly.
Animals looked well looked after and had lots of open space.
Hopefully you will do something about the walking safari ie plan a route with better signs. We were not the only ones confused.

The service is bad and the prices are too high for everything. Toy quality is low. As for the park itself. U walk a lot but u see not much. By boat u do not see much either. You may not touch the monkeys. It is a new approach. Pretty boring. Money thrown away. Sad

The things you do for 5€

You book their attraction pass along with your stay because it states unlimited access for a wide array of attractions including their safari park.
Then when you go for the car safari which falls under their unlimited access you don’t have to pay to get in but you have to pay to take your car back with you 5€ for an exit ticket, if you try to reason with them they state that you have free access because you are able to go in, and if you don’t want to pay for an exit ticket you can just go by foot.
Impossible to make them understand that when you are told you have unlimited access to something it is a safe assumption you will not have to pay for it.
Been for the last half an hour trying to find where it is written on the attraction pass that you have to pay to exit the park, have not found it yet.
