I know nothing about locks. At work we got locked out of a building. 2 co-workers called beantown in Westboro, Ma. Their add promoted a special of $15. At the bottom of their very long add it said several quotes that fit our problem of $65. We decided between $15-65 we could pay that. We asked multiple times if he could he quote a price. NO. If even an explanation that it was late and typically a price range would be ___, would of been helpful. No the man kept saying I can tell you after I get there. The quote was $240.
We explained our side and had no idea it could be that expensive and we asked on the phone for an average amount. The man just kept saying there is nothing he could do, $240 was the price.

We refused his help and honestly felt bad he came out but his unwillingness to explain how things worked was very frustrating.
Their advertising was misleading and their customer service, terrible.

Go elsewhere!!!

Charged 280 to open the door. Was quoted 30-100 over the phone. Lock was NOT complicated or special. Avoid at all costs.

I was locked out of my apartment, and they said the lock was too tricky to pick, so they needed to drill. They charged me $385 for the drilling and $95 for a new lock. I should have told them that this price was unreasonable, but they told me that this was only way to get back into my apartment. Then my friend told me about a common locksmith scam, which my experience fit exactly. The New York Times wrote a story about this type of scam, and the radio program This American Life also did a story on it. Beware!

Just called to get a quote on 2 Mag lock installs. First, the women who answered the phone was barely audible. When she finally spoke up, I explained that I needed a quote on 2 Mag locks. She asked if they needed to drill holes and what is it that I am looking for them to do...huh? I called 4 places prior to this one and ALL knew exactly what a mag lock install was. I asked if I could speak to another person, and she refused stating I could only speak to her. I asked again to speak to another rep and she said "good luck" and hung up in my face. The customer service in this place is non-existent. My advice, save yourself some time and skip past this place.

An hour late and pricey, but got the job done.
