*UPDATE* BBVA replied me asking to get in touch via phone or email. I forgot to mention that I did that in 3 occasions. In the first, the operator explained me what the problem was and I should check the document list in the letter sent. The second, the operator hang the phone in my face while I was trying to understand the process and the accepted documents; the third, the operator was kind but was not helpful at all about clarifying what a freelancer can add as a proof of income.

At the beginning sounds very easy and practical to open an account, like any other modern bank. My first bad experience was few months ago when I needed to pay a 'bollo', but you have to choose which is your provincia di nascita. That's a drop down menu with only Italian options. I could not pay through the app because I'm not Italian.
My second and really bad experience was just now when my account got blocked because I didn't send 2 documents that were requested in September. The notification system in the app is very poor, with repeated messages about scam, and the important messages got diluted in ads. I didn't get a phone call or text message to notify me that I needed to send these documents.
The referred documents are proof of residence and income. ID is not accepted, even if there is your address and to get that the foreign national has to have a suitable visa.
The second document is about income, but none of the options will fit for a freelance that started that year.
Now my account is blocked with all my money, but this is like a trap: very easy to open the account, but now I can't fit in the documents list and have my money blocked.
As soon as I (hope) can retrieve my access, I will move to another bank.

After a while of using this bank, I am not really a fan of the functionalities and the app itself. It is a little slow, does not save my contacts and keep showing notifications although I always press 'don't show again'. The customer services is very mediocre due to long waiting times and no physical presence.
Even though it is a 'conto corrente' I can't pay my F24 and I cannot connect this bank account to pay anything on the Agenzie delle Entrate site. Italian banks should have this ability but it seems like the branch opening was a little rushed without providing these necessary services.
The plus is obviously the 4% interest (which is the reason I opened it) and the fact that it is free. The bonifici are fast and free as well so that's great.
But unfortunately I had to open another account with another bank as this one does not give me all the functionalities.
Account opening process is really simple and fast. However, after opening account, there is no communication that customer needs to request the physical debit card.
When contacted customer service, they asked to check in the available operations and request card there. But there is no option to request card.
Now they ask to wait 24hours after account opening and if it does not update, to call Customer Service.
Please improve the communication.
After changing my phone number used to get confirmation sms, the bank refused to modify it, making it impossible to access my fund.
I was scammed by a nonexistent real estate agency, and they have their accounts in this bank. They stole 2.400,00 € from me!!!

Shame on you for allowing scammers to open accounts and operate smoothly through your bank!
I was sent a bank transfer from my family into this account. The money arrived 15 days ago but left the account with the note ‘cancellation correction entry’ on the same day. The money has not arrived to the sending bank and is, at the moment, lost. I have called 3 times to support asking for information on where the money is and they have told me the corresponding department is working on it. No news 15 days after. I have no adjectives to describe this event and this costumer support for a bank in the 21st century
