My last 4 tins of Baxters over priced soup.. Chicken Broth - rotten veg was found. Cockaleekie soup - soil grit found in the leeks because of the way they cut and prep the leeks. You are not suppose... See more

Hot Air And Water !
Well what I am about to write is going to be a repeat of what other people have said of Baxters, who have shared the same experience as myself.
I don't really know what's happened, but your pies and soups are nothing like they was years ago.
The pies to put it politely are full of nothing but hot air, topped off with a bit of pastry.
As for the soups, the best way to explain it is that you are selling flavoured water to people in cans. There is hardly any contents within except water.
It's such a shame what's happened with your products.
I can even remember my grandparents rating your products quite highly.
Unless there is some vast improvement, I would think you will continue to lose customers.
Fray Bentos steak and gravy pie.
Fray Bentos steak and gravy pie.
What a nightmare! Tried two different can openers, found it almost impossible to open the tin. How I didn’t loose a finger was a miracle. Maybe it’s my can openers but have no trouble with normal cans. Actually it wasn’t worth the trouble. I looked all over the tin to see if it actually said, “acceptable for vegetarians” it could have said this, as no meat content. It said steak and gravy on the tin, gravy and pastry would have been a more accurate description. Won’t be supporting Baxter’s In future if this is a sample of their quality.
I love the taste of their soup .Some…
I love the taste of their soup .Some varieties are better than others as they contain more vegetables but this can apply to any product.
Soup's
Love there soup's, but certain flavours are getting more watery.
Don't slack on your good reputation !
PS: l bought your steak and kidney pie and it had two small bit's of steak in it, l mean small !
The rest of it was just gravy !!
Baxters PeperMint Sauce
Baxters Mint Sauce should be rebranded as Pepermint Sauce; it is surely a breach of trade descriptions. I contacted Baxters two weeks ago to complain, giving them batch number etc. Received response advising the recipe had been changed based on customer feedback, raw material concerns and allergen issues. They have offered vouchers which have not arrived; this is however not the issue, if the contents have changed such the the flavour is totally different then consideration should be given to rebrand the product and reflect the correct ingredients.
Game Soup - more like brown water
Game Soup, only game is trying to find any game in it. Tasteless bland brown water. What has happened to the Family Favourite we used to love and enjoy. Come on Baxters get back your high standards.
What happened!
I used to love this soup, I even used it in meat pies. I haven't had it for a long while and bought a few tins on special offer.
I am so disappointed with this tasteless brown gravy- better buy oxtail from Heinz in future. At least the dog liked it.
mint sauce that tasted like toothpaste
complained about new recipe mint sauce which i found so horrid i couldn't eat it and was told thanks for getting in touch. seems whoever is right it isn't the customer
Got a cheese and onion fray bentos pie…
Got a cheese and onion fray bentos pie and when I opened it, it had a big dent in the crust like someone had put their fist in the pie so I binned it and sent an email to Baxter's to complain.
I was told I would get vouchers for the inconvenience but never received anything and this was in April. I did enquire about my voucher at the beginning of may and was told all vouchers were getting posted out but never received anything. Poor.
Soup to rival mothers delivered to your door
I only buy soup and marmalade and can't rate them higher. Used to work in THE Factory when a student. Later as a scout leader we always got free soup for the summer camp.
I've been taking delivies once a week since the lockdown started and have no intention of stopping. Delivery is a few days and packaging is fantastic. been living on it for weeks.

Dear Mr Banks,
I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with another Fray Bentos Pie. I've reviewed our previous correspondence (our ref 19/7947) and can see you were advised that the amount of meat had been reduced in the range.
Your feedback was passed on but we did not state that there would be a change as a result of your comments. I'm sorry for the confusion this appears to have caused.
We value your feedback, however we believe that the Fray Bentos range still represents value for money. I will ensure, however, that your new comments are also passed on.
I'm afraid it won't be possible to send any samples, I'm sorry for any disappointment this causes. However, I can dispatch another voucher if you wish that you can use towards any products in our other ranges (Baxters and Garners).
Kind regards,
Baxters UK

I would not give any stars if I could
I would not give any stars if I could. I purchased 2 cans each of their so called oxtail, and royal game soups. They were like gravy only tasteless and there was no meat in them to speak of. I contacted them and got this reply.
"As per the previous email, we don't provide information on any actions which may have resulted from your feedback. Therefore, you will not receive any additional information regarding the feedback you provided.
I'm sorry for the confusion caused and for any disappointment. Please rest assured again, however that we do take all customer feedback seriously and appreciate you getting in touch".
I then tell them I want to make a complaint so I get this response.
" In that case, we will need you to provide the full coding from the base of both cans"
So why didn't they ask for the coding in the first place if they were really serious about investigating the issue I raised??
Avoid them they are a bunch of cowboys.
Gravy pies
Like others, lodged a complaint about the lack of any meat in a pie, but at least I had a reply...only to say due to cut backs they had reduced the amount of meat in their pies so what I thought was a production glitch was apparently intentional. They didn’t seem at all surprised there was only gravy, but apparently the taste has been maintained. Avoid!
