There are a number of factors as to why I had a great experience at Baxter Clewis, so I'll just go into a few of them. For anyone that is weighing the option of going into cybersecurity I would strongly suggest and recommend that you consider the Baxter Clewis Acadamy. The environment from the initial phone call set the tone that the Acadamy has a team concept. They're ok with anyone who is choosing to transition from other job fields wanting to move into cybersecurity. The Acadamy prepares you mentally by smartly teaching you the master mindset training from the very beginning of the course. This training is masterfully taught by Will Clewis who is on top of his game from start to finish. I must say I am ex-military, and this mindset training is on par with the initial mindset training that we receive in the military, they both mold you to the level of understanding that you can accomplish anything. All the staff are going above and beyond to ensure each individuals success. By far my best experience in the form of support at the Acadamy was with my advisor (Janelle Gardner) who is amazing! There are no words to fully express how impactful Janelle is to the program. Janelle is very intuitive, and was always reaching out to classmates offering assistance, advice, and lovingly supportive without judgment. The program is self-paced so, that means that each person is accountable for their time. Time management is important to your success here. So, remain focused on the goal of a six-figure income in the tech world and you will get there.

Great experience and growth within Baxter Clewis
Baxter Clewis is a great experience. It has helped me gain so much confidence, helped me realize to stop being so hard on myself and overthinking. I had to realize that if I get something wrong or if I don’t know it, it’s okay. This is a learning process and it will come, but beating myself up or being so hard on myself was doing me more harm than good. Most times now I just take a deep breath, realize it is okay and I will get it done, I will understand. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to get into the cybersecurity field with little to no IT experience.
I am currently in the talent development general phase of the program and am looking forward to the live engagement. The live engagement is the phase of the program where I will participate with a group on a deliverable for an actual fortune 500 company. I am excited about this. This is one of my favorite things about the program is being trained to actually do the job. This to me is the most valuable thing of any program is real life experience and that's why I highly recommend this program.
Certifications and credentials are great but the actual skills to do the job is what matters most ij my opinion. Another one of my favorites things about the program is the focus it will cultivate in you. At some point in the program I realized that I would have to get more serious and focused if I was going to achieve the result of the program wich is a six figure career in cybersecurity. The program forced me to raise my standard and is still requiring me to maintain that standard. There are no participation trophies here. You either perform or you lose. You only have two options. The support you receive from the staff as well as the other students is phenomenal. They are also always updating their training and adding and taking away to make the experience better for everyone involved. There is also more than enough content and support so that you never feel you can't find any answers you need. To top it off there are people getting six figures positions as the program has promised and it's not just a few people. Every week in in the zoom there is someone landing a six figure position. Im just going to leave that there. Results speak for themselves. I give this program 5 stars and recommend it to anyone looking to get into the cybersecurity field with little to no IT experience. I have much more to say but for the sake of time I'll wrap it up here. If your looking to get into the cybersecurity field as an IT professional I highly recommend this program.

This program is well-designed to help anyone who is transitioning to the cybersecurity field. It is self-paced. But my success advisor is prompt to answer questions regarding my learning process. The live sessions are keys to my success so far. That is where I ask questions regarding concepts I don't grasp well. I also present what I learn in group discussions. The program offers practicum sessions, where you acquire skills for the work environment. My experience has convinced me that the Baxter Clewis program stand out for the other ones.

My experience with the Baxter Clewis…
My experience with the Baxter Clewis training program has been very positive. The course content was about what I expected, in terms of material covered. They cover all of the PCI requirements, and also offer mock scenarios to test your knowledge on the content. My success coach was also very friendly prompt, polite, and professional, whenever I had an issue that I needed help with. There are also Q&A sessions, where you can get some of your questions that have about various topics addressed.
I gave the experience a 4 star experience mostly because the price point is a bit steep. While I understand that all of the staff needs to be compensated for their time the cost is a bit much, considering that their is no guarantee of landing a position. I would also like to see more exercises simulating what it would be like to be doing the assessment. Other than that, it's been a fruitful experience, and look forward to seeing how the program evolves in the future.

great training, but nothing to show for it
The training is great, I have my critiques and thoughts on the content as a whole that is presented within the course, but the entire study program was well put together, and easy to follow for the most part. The knowledge and real life experience you gain within the course is incomparable to what I've seen out here. I've enjoyed the people that I've met within the community and I've made some good friend along the way. Some of the funny stories and experience that I've made through out my time with the course I will definitely never forget. My favorite part was the projects within the Internship. Those were fun to do because not only do they give hands on training but provides you the depth and a better understanding of the job you're getting into, love it. I'm thankful to have that experience under my belt. I know the amount of effort Boyd and his team as put into providing that experience for those within the internship was not an easy feat. So I'm forever thankful and gratefully for that.
With all that being said, I've done all that I could get a six-figure role but I still don't have nothing to show for it. It's been 4 months since I've ended the internship (ended in June 2023) and as the months go by I wonder if it was a good investment. I've done everything that I possibly could do AND SOME. I've done everything that was recommend and the best practices that was presented within the course to get a six-figure role but no luck.
I am not the only one too. If you look on LinkedIn, you can see a lot of students are on the same boat as me. A lot of people within my class are also having a difficult time. Now I know it's hard for everyone right now to get a job in this treacherous job market, so that is something you NEED to take into consideration, but man, is it been tough.
I can't say I fully recommend this course to anyone at this time. If you're still thinking about going through the course, I'd say go into it just purely for the knowledge that is presented, because I don't think you can find that anywhere else. The way it's presented, the community behind it, and the experience that you can gain from doing the course is absolutely amazing. Is it worth $13k, I don't think so.
If I were you I wouldn't expect to get a job right out of the gate once you've completed the course and went through the internship, at this current point in time.
