I had a slight bit of trouble with the wrong bb's. I had some premium steel bb's, but one got stuck. Very good videos out there, got it cleared, used the recommended bb's and this thing is a beast. I've only shot it a couple of times but I love this. My go to bb gun now, all these C02 toys are done for.

Light weight and easy to use. It’s ready to shoot as soon as you take it out of the box. Definitely recommend.

I felt a need to write this review because I want others to know what I now know. First, I would like you to know that I'm not someone just writing this review because I got a new gun and felt a need to brag about it to everyone.
I'm actually a replica collector that has been steadily collecting replicas for over 30 years now. My very first replica was an Umarex lever action Stagecoach Edition .177 pellet rifle that had the additional scope mount that you could get from Umarex at that time. From there my collection has grown quite a bit over the years. I have dealt with several airgun stores during that time and never before with a company direct like I have this time with Barra Airguns, and I have to say I was very impressed to say the least.
It was very easy to purchase the replica that I wanted from them with a no hassle checkout, a fantastic Christmas sale special that not only got me the gun at a sale price, but two tins of pellets, 25 CO2 cartridges, and a very nice pocketknife. Then, since I'm a veteran; I also got a very nice discount that I was not expecting and never offered with any of the other airgun stores. My order also qualified for free shipping which put this in the category of the best deal that I have ever got anywhere ever.
The shipping was also fast for being free, and was I ever surprised at the quality of the gun. I got the 1866 CO2 .177 pellet rifle in the gold edition. It looks just like the Winchester, Model 1866 Golden or Yellow Boy rifle detail for detail. The gold on the gun was excellent and it did not look cheap like you will find on some guns that come in gold.
I was also surprised at the weight of the gun. It felt and worked very much like the real gun it was replicated from. The octagon barrel is also a really nice touch that is not offered by other replica airgun companies. The only things that were off was the weaver scope rail in which I removed, and the safety behind the hammer. Unfortunately, a safety is required by law for airguns.
In conclusion, I would have to say that Barra Airguns more than exceeded any expectations that I had of them, and this comes from a 30 plus years collector that probably has dealt with just about every popular airgun store there is at one time or another. Barra Airguns also sells PCP airguns for air gunners looking for that type of gun. If you are into airguns though, you should definitely check them out. They are definitely worth the look and I'm sure you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was. I'm extremely glad that I paid them a visit, and that's for sure.

I am 70 yrs old, Ive seen a lot of different guns in my life, but I really love the looks, the way its made and I can tell it was made with pride and enthusiasm! I can wait to shoot it some when it gets a little warmer outside. My daughter got it for me as a Christmas present. When I unwrapped it from under the tree I felt like a "kid" again. I love it! Thank you for the workmanship.

purchased 1858 after 3rd cartrige air emptys out installing cartrige; retuned 2nd gun does same thing after 4th cartrige whats up ????

I have 3 barra items. I have a 1866 lever rifle/ cartridge model, a 1866 pump rifle, a Schofield 5" pistol. They are very fine looking weapons. I purchased the extra caliber barrels for the 1866 cartridge rifle and Schofield pistol. They are very well designed and the CO2 guns are hard to distinguish from the guns they are copied after. The weight and feel are excellent. Will shoot them this spring. Can't wait.

This is a awesome gun that looks so real that you should never point it at anyone because the would think it is real. This was a gift for my 63rd birthday!!! I always wanted a gun but never messed around with real guns. So this was the best thing that would do for me!!

i recently purchased a Barra 1858 hand gun direct from BARRA. This BB gun looks and feels like the real thing.Information and directions are very clear. Installing the CO2 was easy.I found loading the gun to be somewhat difficult. The speed loader would be helpful. It fires great. The price is right.
