Fantastic experience

I've ever had such a great, friendly and pleasant experience on a purchase before. Chad, the store manager in Caboolture, is very professional, knowledgeable and passionate in his products and services. His patience in answering my dozens of questions really impressed me. He did not only explain to me how to take really good care of the barbecue in detail, but also gave me useful tips on cooking on the barbie. I have had a very comprehensive and amazing session (including the chemistry behind sizzling, physics on the whole structure with the hood leading to its stability while travelling, cooking tips and cleaning strategies...etc) on how to indulge yourself in a new living style with my barbie. I highly recommend Chad to everyone who likes barbecue and enjoys it to the fullest. He's absolutely a real asset to any company.

AWFUL COMMINCATION

We purchased items online thinking they were correct but were informed they will not fit our grill so asked to cancel the order. We cannot get a response. Emails are left for weeks without answer then followed up with "have you received your items?". TERRIBLE communication from head office. The actual shopfront seems fine, but management in head office needs a lot of work.

Pipeline Failure!!

Customer service at point of store and purchase process exceptional.....it went down hill very fast!

I purchased a 6 burner BBQ & Fire Pit just after lockdown in February 2021, paid extra for assembly and delivery to regional Victoria for the following week and paid in full. Waited an extra week for delivery as thought I had got the dates wrong but no word from BBQ’s Galore.

I phoned store to check the status on the delivery, to be told that there is no stock in the state and I’ll need to wait until end of May 2021 for delivery! Not happy but ok, not serious, a phone call would have been appreciated and pre payment in full has now annoyed me! Not that I’ll be able to BBQ in Winter and hopefully I haven’t bought a potentially discounted product at mid year sale, (apparently it’s my responsibility to check if I have and make a claim).

I called last week to check the status on arrival, to be told that the BBQ is now in stock and has been for a few weeks.........”we tried to call you once last month”, was what I was told!

More polite grumbling from my end as now I’m beginning to think that maybe my customer service expectations are way too high! Delivery booked in for as soon as they can get a company to deliver. Waiting 2 business days so happy with that outcome!

More disappointment! Apparently delivery company didn’t send a truck to fetch items and couldn’t fit them in. Next day delivery assured! Smiling again!!

The long awaited day arrives, 15° and I’m now thinking what a waste of time and effort let alone cash! Lucky I ordered a dust cover as I won’t see it for 6 months!

Truck arrives with no way of getting the BBQ off the automated truck tray and grumbling from the delivery guys that it’s too heavy for them to carry! A timber board the size of a large chopping board with wheels smaller than the BBQ’s wheels attached was their only tool to assist with moving it on the ground. Me thinking what’s gone on in the world and where has the strapping strong Aussie male disappeared to? I head to my workshop and retrieve my own trolley and said this will help....massive eye roll from me! Great they say and by the way here’s some nuts and screws from the BBQ....we found them on the floor of the truck. I hold out two cupped hands to carry them, not sure whether to laugh or cry!

Fantastic service

Fantastic service. After extensive research online I called Barbeques Galore Richmond (my local store) and received excellent customer service from a lovely lady that helped me choose a suitable firepit for my family. Upon picking it up in store the floor staff were most helpful even though very busy. Really positive experience

Not great

After making our purchase on 27/4/21, I was advised the the items were in stock and would be put to the side for pick up by the store's recommended installer - at the time this was noted on the invoice as being the 11/5. The installers went to pick up the item on the 10/5/21 only to be told this wasn't in stock and that this wouldn't be in stock for weeks. I then contacted the store to discuss and was told that the stock would be in the following day and was able to then organise delivery.

The recommended installer was also not very professional. We were told that Barbeques Galore highly recommended them and that there was no one else they had that they could pass on details for. An inspection was booked with the installed for 12/5 at midday and we took time of work to attend this. There was very poor communication from the company on the day, to the point where this had to be cancelled as the installer had not showed up or confirmed a time to attend by 3:30 that same day.
I have since been able to engage with a new business to install, who was also able to provide a significantly reduced price on some of the items we purchased (unfortunately we discovered this after the fact).

This has led to large delays in us being able to install our product. We chose barbeques galore based on reputation and insistence that they were a company that were professional and reliable in this regard and based on our experience, we would definitely not recommend the company to friends or family. We would definitely reconsider spending with the company again personally as well, especially for such a high value purchase.

My experience with BBQs galore was awesome!

My experience with BBQs galore was a 10/10. I did not know what I needed until a staff member compared a few for me and I was pleasantly surprised by those findings. It was the staff member in the Cannington Branch that should own all this credit. It is because of her that I would return to BBQs galore!

Purchased the jette 12 seater…

Purchased the jette 12 seater extendable outdoor table setting. Loved the product in store, however once I received delivery and after 2 hrs of putting it altogether the table itself was manufactured faulty and none of the screws were lining up. Chairs were damaged and wonky and when extended the table wouldn't lock in and sat uneven and buldgying.. for the amount of money we paid its a little disappointing. Now waiting on a replacement and hoping this one has been manufactured properly, but I'm not feeling confident after my experience so far..

Barbeques Galore Customer Service is a disgrace

I purchased a barbeque on 3rd March from Castle Hill Barbeques Galore. The warehouse subsequently rang to indicate that the barbeque would be delivered on Friday 12th March. No delivery occurred nor was I advised of a change of date. After my phone call to him, the Assistant Manager of Castle Hill Barbeques Galore arranged to deliver a barbeque that he had in stock. This was received on 17th March. I later received a call from the warehouse seeking to arrange a delivery date for the barbeque so there had obviously been no communication between Castle Hill Barbeques Galore and the warehouse.

The barbeque I received was found, upon installation, to have two right cabinet doors (in lieu of a right and a left) so, on the advice of Castle Hill Barbeques Galore, the installer left the barbeque only partly constructed. Also on the advice of Castle Hill Barbeques Galore I contacted Barbeques Galore Customer Care on 30th March through its on-line form. I received a computer generated acknowledgement but no further communication. During a later phone call initiated by me on 8th April, Barbeques Galore Customer Care denied ever receiving my on-line form, a denial I find to be questionable.

I had to ring Customer Care a second time before a promised e-mail was received. A promised return phone call (after phoning Customer Care a third time) was never received. I therefore contacted Customer Care again and was advised, even though over a week had elapsed since my first phone call, that a ticket to rectify the problem had still not been created.

Barbeques Galore Customer Care is an absolutely disgrace.

Thank you Rockhampton BBQs Galore

We purchased a Ziggy Barbeque and broke a fitting changing the gas hose. tried several Barbeques Galore stores and nobody was interested in helping - until we reached Rockhampton. Thank you to the guys at Rockhampton store who couldn't have been more helpful and solved our problem. We were thinking that we wouldn't shop at the franchise again but they renewed our faith. THANK YOU Rockhampton Barbeques Galore

Do not buy a Norseman gen 11

Do not buy a Norseman gen 11! We have been dealing with bbq's galore since September with our faulty norseman gen 11! The top plate of the fireplace bows down as though it is melting! After months and months of waiting, it has finally been fixed with replacement parts- only to do the exact same thing!
The warranty service is terrible!

Excellence is an understatement

Bought our Ziggy twin BBQ with all the trimmings, nothing was too much trouble for any of the sales staff, Madi was the lady we spoke to initially and 2 weeks later we went back in as treated as though we hadn't left. All the staff knew their products and not in the least pushy, well done Team will definitely recommend you.

Ziggy replied under warranty

Have had our Ziggy for just over two years now. One burner wouldn’t light. Took it up to our local store in Caboolture QLD. The boys there looked at it, replaced the manifold under warranty. Very helpful. We had it back in a few hours. Wonderful service.
