We have had one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences with Banner Life Insurance. If I could do ZERO STARS I wouldWhat should have been a simple collateral assignment—something they claim takes three business days—has dragged on for weeks with zero communication unless we initiated contact ourselves.

Each time we called, we were given different information, false assurances, and repeated promises that the issue would be ‘escalated’ and completed—none of which were followed through. We spent hours on the phone, including over 90 minutes just trying to reach a manager.

At one point, we were told the delay was due to ‘wet signatures,’ a requirement that was never communicated in any prior interaction. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is unacceptable.
This delay has directly impacted the closing of our new Autism Learning Center, affecting real families and children who depend on these services.

If you are considering working with Banner Life Insurance, be prepared for poor communication, lack of follow-through, and significant delays. We strongly advise looking elsewhere.”

Some of their interview questions are worded in a way they can be interpreted differently and have varied answers based on your own interpretation of the question. Once the underwriter gets the response and you find out you interpreted the question differently than they did and you try to provided better clarification on your response, they just decline you coverage all together.

I’ve had a term life insurance policy with them for 8 years and it’s been a pain every year. Automatic payments are excessively difficult to set up and access. My husband and I both have insurance through them but the accounts are separated making payments annoying and complicated. I’m probably just gonna find someone else to work with.
