Trying to make a payment to my M&S credit card is proving impossible. I made a payment online yesterday on my PC using the M&S payment system, but apparently according to the atrocious Chat Service which I spent over 40 minutes on and then got cut off, they cannot see that the payment was made. It certainly has not gone out of my bank account. Why is the system for paying a credit card so fraught with problems? I have never had any problems paying other credit cards online on my PC. I just want to pay off the balance, but this is proving impossible. I shall be extremely annoyed if I get charged interest because the payment system does not work.

Having had an M&S credit for 25 years I am shocked how poor the Customer services have become since HSBC took over . Glitches have been trying to pay the bill an amount was taken 3 times putting the account into credit. Sorted out by using the excess on my next Bill.
My Husband sadly now has Dementia so I am trying to close the account. Never has the payment been returned the next day siting incorrect number when we have paid this way for years. so thank you HSBC we will now be charged interest . Have had lots of problems in the last year & Customer services are useless cannot wait to get rid of the credit card . Other Credit cards are easier to use & non problematic . We have been Customers for 30 years plus sad way to end :(

M&S, you seriously need to get your act together. Your card services abroad are an absolute shambles.
How on earth can you decline a legitimate payment before even sending the customer a confirmation notification, then decide to send the confirmation request nearly two hours later? By that point, the damage is already done and the transaction has failed.
And it gets even more ridiculous. When you contact your so-called chat support for help, their solution is to tell you to make an international call to the UK. Seriously? What exactly is the point of having an in-app chat service if customers are simply told to call internationally?
This is completely unacceptable for a financial service. People travel abroad expecting their cards to work, not to spend hours dealing with a dysfunctional system and support team that offers no practical solution.
M&S — this isn't good enough. Fix your systems, fix your customer service, and start treating your customers like customers. Sort yourselves out. It was so embarrassing and the people 8n the shop look at you suspiciously

Applied for a credit card, pre-approved from MSE website. Decision in 5 days….this was 3 weeks ago. Can see they performed a credit check on my credit report but no communication. Pre-approved and an excellent credit rating yet no decision. Absolute Time wasters.
Edit: Of course I’ve checked my junk folder. I had the initial email to say the application had been received and I would have a decision within 5 days then No one has got in touch at all. There is also no way to use the online chat unless you have an account open. Only way to contact is to phone up and I really can not be bothered wasting any more of my time waiting on a call centre to answer. Although I probably will call just to get your hard search removed from my credit report.

Love it! I was looking for a credit card with rewards. I opted to pay the extra £10 a month for extra rewards and I'm glad I did. Every time I'm in town i go and collect a free cup of coffee. There was a bonus linked to sparks that I collected yesterday, used a £25 voucher for clothes and because I spent over £30, I received another £10 credit. The banking app is simple to use and I'm happy that it has delivered everything I expected. I'm a very happy customer

The speed and ease of doing a transfer.
No hitches, no glitches. Just quickly complete the transfer form and done.
A fair rate, in my opinion, compared to other banks.
It was easy, quick and I was kept up to speed with the progress.
A really great service.

Tried to change my address. 35 minutes on the phone. No one answered just offered banking apps et etc. I just wanted to speak to a PERSON. Gave up and called the List and Stolen
number. Then I got a person. Tried their best but English was poor. Did manage to get it done. It’s a Miracle!
