Bird with Half a Beak

I really wanted to like this company. I gave tons of hours to working on product design, dealing with customer support, and reworking designs (after saving them) that had reverted back to incomplete artwork placement repeatedly.

I printed masks (good quality, but some colors such as blue come out desaturated due to fabric), kimonos (nice product), and a bomber jacket, which had to be reprinted because the print placement was off by several inches (not centimeters), and the reprint that the company offered had the same problem (what is a bird printed with half a beak? for example).

Pros: good print quality, good patterns and sewing, responsive customer support.

Cons:
Glitchy mockup system - doesn't save your design (even when it says it has), reverts to old files and incomplete designs after saving your finished design, super slow site processing, and (Hello 1998!) not representing apostrophes in words such as Women’s, which shows on the site as Women!%$?#s.
Fabrics - It's not immediately apparent based on fabric names and descriptions that all fabrics are polyester. Beware of leggings that have 2-way (instead of standard 4-way) stretch and overall poor stretch in contradiction with their descriptions.
Product marketing - Though you have your own store, your product is not searchable on their website. For example, I went through every bomber jacket shown on their site and none of them were mine.
Time/$ - Not worth it. Despite the tens of hours spent with customer support and reworking designs after already completing and saving them due to their glitchy system, I still ended up with a print that was off by 4 or 5 inches (bird with half a beak). This was on a company offered reprint of the first improperly printed design.

Just looking at the bird's beak design for starters, I can see that you put the beak where the zip is running (visible on the design interface) and I haven't seen any issue with the site being slow but from your order number I will see if we can see any issue (it could be related to internet connections, or not). Quality product, incredible delivery time

I ordered a custom-design glasses case/cleaning cloth, and it looks very nice and seems well-built. I'm actually waiting for the glasses themselves still but it looks as if they'll fit fine.
What particularly impressed me and prompted me to write this review was the speed of the production and delivery. I ordered it on a Thursday and it arrived on Monday morning, from Great Britain to upstate New York... very impressive!

Awesome product, awesome service!

I recently ordered a carpet runner from Bags of Love. I had a custom picture that my family and I colored together printed on the rug. I am in so in love with this company and product. Their service, communication and quality exceeded my expectations. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE my rug. I highly recommend Bags of Love and can’t wait to order another treasure!!

I can not say enough good about…

I can not say enough good about bagsoflove.com!! I ordered the custom wallpaper border and I just love it!! The tools were easy to use and the quality of wallpaper border was very high. I got the textured 9.5 inch border. It's so hard to find a wallpaper border that is perfect....but now you can create your own. I have many other plans on my list of things to personalize!! Shipping was ultrafast too. Only critique would be is that I would like to have a longer piece of border like the usual 15 feet pieces. I know price wise...it would make the project way more expensive and it is a fairly reasonable price at it's current length to be customized.

Custom t-shirt, too close to Christmas?

I wanted a T-shirt made to my own specs, using my own Artwork (Rob Rad Artwork). From experience, sell my artwork and getting it printed for customers had been a mixed experience with 99% of the results leaving me cheesed off, trying to explain to a customer why their design looks total crap. They either got the dimensions wrong, got the bleed wrong and it went on and on..

Fast Forward Christmas 2020, what an utterly cack year! Family member loses life long (feline) buddy, one which we had babysat for a few months (he was in service) she had to be put down Beginning of December..

I did some artwork of the cat, wanted to make a full, graphic T-shirt for him as a memorial/Christmas present made the way I wanted and to look exactly how I wanted. So, I found BOL, people from my own Homeland (I've been in the US for 21+ years now) a little weary because I trusted another Brum company with a similar project and it came out absolutely terrible! anyway, fast forward..I gave BOL a shot.

The design process was super easy, understandable and absolutely accurate! The preview images, updated on the fly, looked accurate and I was able to add additional designs to the sleeves, tag and neck (collar) and it looked great, the whole process from design to ordering was easy, well laid out, understandable and accurate just like a well oiled machine, the process was relaxed and on point.

The T-shirt took a day or two to go through the whole process (and a few days before Christmas I might add) and I was able to access/view the process in which my design was in/going through. It shipped two days or so after I paid/confirmed design etc, it got here just a few days ago with plenty of time to spare (considering it's Christmas..).

The design was 100% accurate to the artwork and layout I had set up via their design process, what I saw in the design, I now saw in my hands! a nice, new, custom designed graphic T-shirt.

I am impressed with the results, the whole design process, information on whole process, shipping and ultimately.... the reaction of the recipient was all .. Stellar!

Needless to say, for future endeavors, of which I have several... I will simply use Bags of Love and forego all the unnecessary pain and annoyance of using any other inferior company I used in the past and getting nothing close to the results I wanted and needed.

Awesome place.

I have ordered a customized belt from Bags of Love for my fiance and it came out very well. It is so fantastic. The team at Bags of Love are very, very helpful and very quick to respond if you need assistance at all and pretty fast shipping. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

I can't say enough about the tie we…

I can't say enough about the tie we ordered. From the quality to the delivery turnaround (4 days from order to receiving in US) everything was amazing. The tie was a gift to our high school band director who loves ties. We used one of his photos of a marching band member in uniform and had it printed on the tie. He was truly touched and in awe of how we were able to get a tie printed with the photo. Would definitely use them again!

I'm giving 2 stars because the photo…

I'm giving 2 stars because the photo came out clear and ultimately it is my fault for not double checking that the large placemat is not large at all. In fact, it would only be a placemat if your plates were tiny doll house plates. What a waste of money. It is too small for a standard size dinner plate. It is misleading to call it a placemat. You cannot buy a placemat of that size anywhere but here.

Bags of Love- Bad Experience

Bags of Love is run by people that (in my view) couldn’t care less about you as a consumer.

My son wanted to purchase a set of 4 face masks to hand out to his group of friends. He’s really a sweet kid. Gives out presents and gifts quite often. He saved up nearly $40 and asked me to help place an order.

The masks showed up and they were much smaller than expected, and the material was awful... like a diaper, would be the best way I would describe it.
The custom image placed on the mask looked comically smaller than it did on their template as well.
So after seeing the almost laughable masks, my son tries on one of these “Medium” sized masks that Bags of Love had suggested, and it absolutely looked ridiculous... it’s so small it won’t even fit over his chin without it being completed stretched and uncomfortable.

So, we emailed Bags of Love right away to fix the issue.
We asked for the Medium sized masks to be exchanged for Large.
Bags of Love then demanded photo evidence which we immediately provided.

What proceeded from there has been nothing but a disgusting and annoying game.

They have refused to assist us with the an exchange. So, we asked for a refund. They refused that as well.

After Bags of Love had outright refused to “refund” or “exchange” the masks they offered a small discount, only if we were to re-order the masks.

I told them this was inappropriate and unacceptable. And, because of their refusal to assist us in a refund or exchange that I would contact my credit card company about submitting a chargeback request.

I have now done that.

Bags of Love reached out once they received the Chargeback and went right back to their suggested method of giving a discount off any additional orders, to resolve the issue.

No.
Hell no.
I will not do business with your company again. Weeks of phone calls, emails and back and forth to which Bags of Love have been rude and unhelpful the entire time.

I don’t want anyone else going through what we have.
If you’re reading this, just try someone else. You don’t want to take the chance with this company, they likely will screw it up and they’ll refuse to take any responsibility.

We all know there are companies taking advantage of this tragedy. (The Pandemic) I would place this company in that category. They’re making money off the tragedy by selling masks of questionable quality, with inferior customization, and refuse to replace or refund any mistakes.

False Advertising

We set up an online store just to use a custom glasses case product on this website. We had made a custom case for my mom as a gift a year ago. Everyone loved it and we wanted to sell them. The case had her name on top, and a print on bottom. So we reached out to Bags of Love via their online chat service to ensure that it was ok with them that we print & sell their products in this manner (which it was & we have screenshots of that convo), proceeded to set up the whole company, and then went to work creating tons of material for our store based on this glasses case. People would be able to customize it with their name on top, and choice of photos, etc. We got our first customer, which we were excited about. We received the case in the mail, and the print of her name was REALLY off center. We went back to the Bags of Love website, pulled up the design template mockup that we had filled in to order the product, and that design was perfectly centered. We contacted their customer service team with 2 photos (one of the actual case & how off it was printed, and one of the centered online design mockup). They informed us that this inconsistency with printing would continue to happen if we kept ordering products, and that centering would never be able to be guaranteed. They replaced this one order but notified us that they would not be doing so for future orders for our store, and that they didn’t want any future complaints. When we suggested that they state clearly on the glasses case page that there’s a margin of error in print, or that they can’t guarantee centering (which would’ve saved us all this trouble if we had known), they directed us to read the guidelines on the glasses case page, which we proceeded to re-read a second time and still found no information there regarding a warning about what we experienced. We’ve wasted money, time and effort that could’ve been avoided if they were more transparent on the product page. And we were surprised that it could get through their quality check as well without someone catching how off-center it was, didn’t give us a lot of confidence in their process. My husband and I are both graphic designers and we’ve worked with tons of different print shops for a wide variety of things - we’re used to reading print guidelines and working within specific parameters. This experience was a big disappointment as we followed their guidelines and still ended up with a faulty product, and no guarantee of improvement with regards to future products. We’ve since had to totally re-structure our business and it’s unfortunate how much time and energy we lost on this. Based on the experience we had, we don't feel that this company really cares very much about the concerns of people like us, nor are we convinced that they're doing everything they can to provide top quality products with transparent advertising. The product we ordered is not the product we received, and they clearly stated they wouldn't replace future faulty prints. The customer service responses that we got also felt like they were just dancing around the issue a bit instead of dealing with the root of the problem and admitting to fault. Hope this review saves someone else from having a bad experience like we did.

OUR RESPONSE to Bags of Love’s reply on Dec 10th, 2020: Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately you’re mistaken, the link you’ve provided is for a different product than what we purchased. You’re referencing a Contrado website, but we ordered from Bags of Love - and the info on there was different. This is what we purchased: Bagsoflove(dot)com/custom-glasses-case We read all design guidelines BEFORE purchase (also took screenshots for our records when speaking to your rep & re-read everything a 2nd time) and there was no mention of an error margin on the print centering, nor warning about the design not being able to be guaranteed correctly printed as it is shown, nor the info about the logo that you reiterated from the Contrado website. If you change the wording on there now, that’s great & that would help future customers which was the original intent of us suggesting you include that info on your site, but that’s not what was available to us at the time of purchase. And sadly, we received our free re-printed case a couple of days ago after leaving our initial Trust Pilot review, and it’s exactly the same mis-print as the first case! You also stated the instructions on the wrong product page that we didn’t order from (Contrado) stated, “..we would recommend repeating your logo with our design tool.” However we DID use your online design tool - after receiving the mis-printed case we retrieved our print design from the Bags of Love order history, and our design was perfectly centered in your template.

The customer service team should have made a screenshot to show you and direct you more to the information possibly however we do clearly mention on the product page "As we hand-make our items, slight deviations are possible when centering your logo. Therefore we would recommend repeating your logo with our design tool." and this can be found here see product page https://www.contrado.com/hard-glasses-case under Product Details / Design Tips. We have that section to help our customer before they start designing.

So yes, it is very important to read a product page thoroughly before purchasing (with any kind of company), as exciting as the designing process might be - true it is amazing to see your vision in your head come to life in our design interface and quite close to what you will receive in real life.

I see the customer service team indeed offered a free reprint as a kind gesture, however where they could have been better is that they should have insisted more (or at all) with you in regards to editing your original design a bit. We will get back to them so they can advise customers better in case they get contacted as well. Thank you for that feedback which will help us improve as well.
