I was fooled into a LTD that proved to be a scam. They just shut it down after some months after selling on appsumo. Are there no restrictionw for protecting customers to be fooled like that?

The tool was awesome, but I am not sure why they want to shut down .. Maybe they are running out of money. And now they are shutting down this. I bought an Appsumo 2TB plan. But now it will be zero. It happens with the APPSumo deal. As Bilal described in his earlier mail, App Sumo guys did not sell this as a backup tool. But if this will come as an open source, this tool will be worth looking at.

Absolutely a Scam

Just received a Closure of the service notice from BackupSheep. I was not a customer but I notice there is something wrong when we purchase in Appsumo. Some Apps providing inconceivable cheap price, getting big money and then end their service. There is no guarantee that when we get the LTD...

Well, i actually don't want to spend any time on this 'service' but people must know that it's reliable as s**t.

- Changing terms and not honoring deals.
- Promising restore functions but not delivering.
- Switching IP's (so you have to adjust settings, again)
- Limiting nodes (so if you had 50 nodes you have to cut 25 now.
You set up backups to a service you can trust. Well, you are warned a few times now.

This company sold their product on Appsumo.

They have repeatedly tried to back out of that deal in ways that APPEAR to keep the "letter of the law" while completely violating the "spirit of the law."

And in at least one case they have specifically violated the letter of the law.

"Unlimited nodes" has been turned into 25 nodes.

25 nodes is certainly completely different than "unlimited."

Maybe they promised more than they could deliver.

But rather than apologize and offer refunds BackupSheep keeps trying to add restrictions that make the original deal they sold unrecognizable as it was.

I do not accept these changes which are completely unjustified compared to the one we purchased: "All future updates of the unlimited plan"
You would like to limit the time to keep backups, the backup execution times, the type of backup, the size of the single backup and impose a ridiculous number of nodes available.
This is a fraud and we aren't a serious company.
I hope you will review your discriminatory and fraudulent policies to avoid denunciation and social publicity of your misdeeds. How can you promote your brand by deceiving your customers? What value do you perceive of your brand? Terrible, terrible behavior.

- is changing the conditions
- never got a proper WordPress backup option as promised
- backups are removed after 90 days

They change Policies as per their mood. I purchased LTD from Appsumo just because the deal was good but now the company and owner is showing their true colors. If you can't keep your promise, just close your business and move away. The only reason you are here is because Appsumo users purchased your deal and now you are betraying all Appsumo users.

I want refund of my hard earned money.

I had high hopes for Backupsheep, but my experience has been marred by several concerning issues. First and foremost, the company is blatantly violating the terms of the deal I signed up for. Their decision to significantly reduce the limits of my storage, contrary to the promised "unlimited", has left me feeling misled and frustrated.

This breach of trust has been compounded by their refusal to offer a refund or any form of compensation for their actions. It is disheartening to see a company disregard their commitments and customer satisfaction in this manner. This has led me to the conclusion that Backupsheep cannot be trusted as a reliable service provider.

I expected better from a company that initially appeared to offer a valuable service, but their actions have left me questioning their integrity and professionalism. In light of these issues, I would caution anyone considering Backupsheep to thoroughly research alternatives before committing to their services.

The deal on Appsumo started decently well. Today the founder started to limit the deal with a "fair-usage policy" valid only for Appsumo users, breaking the TOS we paid for. He already tried to limit the storage months ago and then decided to go back on his steps. The new terms clearly show that he's not professional enough to keep a business agreement and used the LTD deal users just to kickstart his company. I am very disappointed, stay away.

I am disappointed with Backupsheep as it does not allow users to change their email IDs purchased with Appsumo. This limitation prevents users from receiving emails to their preferred email addresses.
Additionally, this means that if you happen to lose access to your email account for any reason, you will not be able to recover your Backupsheep account, which is quite inconvenient. It would be better if Backupsheep provided the option for users to update their email IDs and offered a solution for account recovery in case of email access issues.

When looking for a 3rd party backup (just in case something happens with our host) with EU storage I stumbled upon Backupsheep. Tried the free version and it was exactly what I was looking for. Easy to setup and looking slick.
I never used a backup tool like this before but it only took me 20 minutes or so to setup my first backup. I had 1 question which support answered perfectly so I signed up for the paid version and got going.
I like that you can choose between their storage, or a 3rd party provider like google drive, pcloud, etc. Just to become even less dependent on 1 service.

We have been using backupsheep for 8 months now and I'm still happy to get my nightly "Backup Completed" emails!

BackupSheep has been an excellent backup solution for numerous WordPress sites. It's fast, works in the background, and offers an extra level of protection against loss of files due to clients forgetting to renew hosting or other factors. It also has other integrations making it a really flexible backup solution.

I love BackupSheep backup app. It help me backup my WordPress site without consuming additional storage from my VPS.

after couple a month i using this thing, i said it was worth it.. all smooth, working as expected and absolutely very recomended

Edit : unfortunately this project been canceled, becasue the company go bankrupt, so its not worth anymore , i lost my data, and lost all the thing i been put on their server.

Best backup soulation for our business

Reliable backup service that I've used for backing up my database. Works great!

I have tried other backup options some of which have been terrible.
This one works so much better than the others. The great thing about it is that it is so reliable it just runs in the background. It notifies me every morning that my sites have been backed up and has never failed. Other options failed to backup without telling me......
Very highly recommended.
