I had a very poor experience with…

I had a very poor experience with Backpack. They don’t provide any option to cancel an order. Their customer support email did not respond for over two days, and their hotline number was switched off.

I needed to cancel an order urgently, but there was no way to reach them. When they finally replied after two days, they informed me that the order could not be canceled and that a refund was not possible.

Scam!

I placed an order with Backpack Bang and paid over 40k tk on September 4 2025. Their email states that refunds should be processed in 8–10 weeks, but it's January 2026 now. I have sent multiple emails to their support requesting a refund, but I have received nothing. Their official refund policy is vague and discretionary, offering no clear enforceable timeline, but the delay exceeds even the most generous interpretation of their stated policy.
This website is a scam. Please don't order anything.

SCAM WEBSITE

Please do not order from this website it is a full on scam. Before covid their service was good but now they will just take your money and hope you never ask for it back. They will only return your money if you file a case with dncrp and/or file a chargeback on your card.

Did not work... Poor Communication

We had to FedEx it at the last minute because the Backpack Pay system did not work for us. We set it all up online to link to the 529 account, and the system said it would verify account connectivity, but we never received an email confirmation back or any communication from them at all. Their low communication level was dissapointing. They do not have a phone number so there is no way to talk to anyone at Backpack Payments. They were unreliable for us, and did not work, so we had to FedEx the tuition check for $67.

I ordered a $2000 laptop via Backpack

I ordered a $2000 laptop via Backpack. They discarded the original outer box, exposing the device to damage during transit. When it arrived after 2 months, it had visible dents. The power adapter was also sent separately, days later.

I filed a complaint, but Backpack refused to take responsibility. It took nearly 6 months and involvement from Consumer Rights authorities, yet no resolution or compensation was provided.

Avoid Backpack for electronics or valuable items — there's no guarantee of proper handling or accountability.

Never Buy from backpack in 2025

Never Buy from backpack in 2025. They are not paying Travelers and they are totally false advertising. They say they will bring the item within 15-20 days which is completely false, they take 2 months. I was going to file a case at DMP but they agreed to return my money. This is total scam in 2025

Good Company turned Scam Company!

I have been a long-time customer since 2015 and service was pretty satisfactory; but since Covid happened, I have placed over 10 orders and have not received the products nor the refund and had to talk to the bank to get back my money! I don't trust them anymore.

There are very few ways to communicate with them and the person who replies to the emails is very very unprofessional and not helpful at all

Backpackbang is a big SCAM!!!

I ordered a product from them on March 17, 2024. However, they were unable to deliver the product, so I filed a refund request on March 24, 2024. According to their website's terms and conditions, they are obliged to issue a refund within 60 days in the case of non-delivery. But even after 90 days, they failed to refund me. I tried to contact them millions of times in various ways, but they keep giving me excuses and have pissed me off!
I would suggest that everyone stay away from them!

Scam Company

People, please DON'T PAY THEM.
I ordered on March 15, and after wasting more than a month they canceled my order on May 02, and initiated a refund process. Unfortunately, today its April 01, 2024, I got no refund. The refund process is still pending. No company in Bangladesh take more than two weeks for any refund. This is really a scam. Avoid them at any cost if you have read this review.

Update: I later on filed a complaint on Consumer Rights (dncrp.com), and just after 10 days of that I got my refund. I would have sued them in the court, however I live in a remote area which is difficult for me to attend the hearing in Dhaka. I will suggest you, living near Dhaka, to file a complaint and go with the procedure. Thia scam company must be STOPPED IMMEDIATELY.

US passenger beware!

They have become a nightmare for the US traveler. We provided a deposit and carried the luggage when 7 business days payment timeline was provided. After 7 business days, they, again and again, told me money will be provided the next business day. The same "tomorrow" or "early next week" repeated again and again. In the meantime, we missed a credit card payment which resulted in a late fee. It took them 30 days to get the luggage and pay me back. If you are okay with sitting your money somewhere for more than a month then Backpack is okay. Otherwise, don't carry the luggage, if you do - your vacation will be ruined.

Terrible Experience - No Refund After 90 Days!

I had the most frustrating and disappointing experience with BackpackBang.com. I trusted this company with my hard-earned money and made a purchase, but little did I know that I was in for a nightmare when it came to their refund policy.

After waiting patiently for 60 days, as their policy states, I reached out to their customer service regarding my refund. To my surprise, I was met with excuses and a lack of transparency. They assured me that the refund was being processed and that I should wait a little longer. Feeling uneasy, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for another 30 days, as they sometimes extend the period to 90 days.

However, even after 90 days had passed, there was still no sign of my refund. I couldn't believe how unprofessional and unresponsive their customer service had become. It's as if they thought they could just hold onto my money without any consequences.

I sent countless emails, made numerous calls, and even tried to reach out through their social media channels, but it was all in vain. The level of frustration and helplessness I felt during this ordeal is beyond words. It's absolutely infuriating to see a company take advantage of customers who trusted them.

I strongly advise anyone considering using BackpackBang.com to think twice. Their lack of accountability, their failure to honor their own refund policy, and their complete disregard for their customers' time and money are simply unacceptable. I never thought I would have to go through such a hassle just to get my own money back.
