I ordered a buggy for a little Girl in…
I ordered a buggy for a little Girl in London for a week in our Holidays.
We received teh Buggy in our Hotel and return the Buggy in Hotel with Help of the Concierge Service.
The Buggy was new with a Transportation Bag an all necessary Parts, forinstance the Weatherproof Cape.
The supplier delivered the stroller to the hotel and also picked it up from there, without us being present.

Cautionary tale - damage charges for hire equipment
This is a cautionary tale for those who are looking to hire equipment from Babonbo. For clarity, Babonbo offer a service where they pair customers looking to hire equipment on holiday with local providers who can provide the items for a certain price.
We recently hired a stroller for a week in Singapore, and within three days found the rear structural brace had sheared off - likely due to age-related cyclical stress. We reported immediately to the provider who relayed the message to Babonbo customer service.
At the conclusion of the hire period, the Babonbo team deducted additional damage charges from my credit card without notification or explanation. After reaching out to Babonbo support, feedback was that the item was returned in damaged condition and insurance was not chosen for the hire period, as per T&Cs.
After discussing directly with the provider (who owns the stroller), the provider generously offered in writing to waive the damage charge due to the failure likely being an unfortunate timing rather than my misuse. However, Babonbo support flat out refused to refund the additional damage charge without satisfactory justification, repeatedly referring to their T&Cs as the reason. The team was dismissive throughout our correspondence and not interested in considering any mitigative circumstances, even after written support for refund from the provider.
It is not clear whether Babonbo intends to keep the damage charge for themselves, despite being an intermediary and therefore incurring no cost in this unfortunate event.

We completely understand how frustrating this situation must have felt, and we want to be as transparent as possible about how we handled it.
When the rental period ended, our provider reported that the stroller had sustained structural damage and supplied photos as evidence. In line with the Terms and Conditions accepted at the time of booking, which place responsibility for damage occurring during the rental period on the customer, a damage fee was applied.
We did take your concerns seriously. After reviewing the screenshots you shared, we went back to the provider on your behalf to reexamine the situation. Following that conversation, the provider reconfirmed that the stroller was delivered to you in full working condition, and that the damage took place during your rental period.
We also want to address your question about the damage fee directly: Babonbo does not retain damage charges. These fees go entirely toward covering the cost of repair or replacement for the provider who owns the equipment, we have no financial interest in applying them.
We know this outcome wasn't what you were hoping for, and we truly wish the circumstances had been different. For future rentals, we always recommend opting for our insurance coverage, which is available at checkout and is specifically designed to protect customers in situations like this one.

Car seat rented from Akbar
I rented my car seat from Akbar on babonbo. He was amazing and understanding on flight delays. When it came to picking up he sent a picture of his location and himself to make it easier to find him. He was very flexible on changing the pick up location from the airport to the hotel i was staying at. He responded within 15mins on WhatsApp. The website made it easy to pick what car seat i wanted to rent and Akbar was amazing with making pick up and drop off easy.

Can not reach the service provider
Our accomodation was 5-minute-walk from the place of the company, so I chose self-pick-up. According to their introduction they were open monday to sunday 8:00 to 20:00.
On the very morning we tried to contact them several times in many ways: they didn't reply on whatsapp, we tried to call them (didn't answer), leave them voice mail and even try to find them on their address (the reception was closed).
Finally a guy, not the given contact, send us a message (not a reply to our several messages), and came to our place with the stroller around 11:40. Till then our baby became tired and had to have a nap, so we started our day around 14:00 loosing more than a half of a precious day in the city.
Very annoying...

Very easy booking. Delivery (stroller) on site, in a hotel even before our arrival. Stroller itself was in a very good condition. And collection was also from our hotel, after we checked out, we just informed the hotel staff about the estimated time when the stroller should be picked up.
