Cheap Avoxi SIP but poor quality. So 3 stars.
What i feel personally is Avoxi offered cheap SIP connections when compared to other SIP providers. But we have latency issues in Avoxi SIP and we cannot fix it with the help of Avoxi support team also by our networks team too which feels kind of low quality.

Avoxi is the biggest little secret for small companies trying not to break the bank with telephone services fees, and Avoxi's excellent customer services more than pay for the small fees they charge. Since I subscribed to Avoxi, I haven't missed the big, monopolistic, price-gauging telephone companies. My clients are happy, I am happy, and my financials are happy. Now that is a great little telephone company for you.

Avoxi was among the first to follow up with me when I started my inquiry into software for our phone system. Their presentation was clear, they answered every question, and were genuine. The set up was painless, they walked through every step and their onboarding support was so amazing, I have become friends with some of the team. If there is ever an issue, the support team is always on top of it, never once have I heard the "Turn it off and turn it on" type of support. 10/10 would recommend.

We are in the process of switching.
We are in the process of switching away from Avoxi. We never got answers from their support team on multiple glitches (dropped calls is the main problem). We escalated to our sales rep, who asked we provide a detailed list of all interactions with support so he could discuss the lack of response with the director of support. It took me over 30 mins to compile this detailed list. Then, I never heard back from anyone (the rep, the director, no one). The most recent glitch is customers can no longer leave a voicemail. They reach an Avoxi error message. So, if the agent is on another call, the second caller is just hung up on. This led to over a 400% increase in our abandoned calls and upset clients. My thought is Avoxi support doesn't know how to fix every glitch that comes their way, which is completely understandable. However, the lack of communication between the support team and our team along with the number of glitches and dropped calls are not conducive to growing our business. For reference, we have 1-2 agents and roughly 100 calls per day.

Be careful of the hidden fees and deceptive business practices
Be careful of the hidden fees this company charges. The monthly recurring fees are not reflective of the actual charges. They are introducing payment processing fees that are 110% of the actual monthly rental costs. They have also introduced a fees for the preparation of invoices. I called to ascertain about cancelling my service Jul 31st as I was told previously it was best to do it at month end. The agent advised it could be done before Aug1st thus avoiding the next month billing. However, If it was billed in error just call back and they would reverse the charge. I followed the advice provided. They processed the August billing and immediately cancelled the service. So effectively they took my money and did NOT provide any service. I followed up and they indicated the credit was sent to my bank processing and should be in my credit card account in 3 days. Today August 24th and the US $20.13 which was charged on August 1st has still not been received. This is despite following up with them and even requesting a callback. The accounting department's sole purpose is to avoid, deflect and take your money. I would give them a negative star rating if that was an option. DO NOT let this company get access to your credit card.

I echo similarly bad experiences here - it was good when we first signed up early 2020, then early this year after I increased my base plan and accidentally signed up for another plan, i have been unable to get them to cancel this additional plan, so I have been charge double of what I normally pay, with increasing telephone charges as well.
No responses to my emails since Feb and now I can't even login to my account to cancel, as my password doesn't work and I can't reset. I would like all my money back and stop paying but can't even do that.
I am horrified - Stay away.

I cancelled my service with them and got a successful chargeback for some of the fees that Avoxi tried to charge retrospectively, and fees that I did not agree to when I accepted the original terms and conditions. To be clear, they are a fraud and scam ridden company.

THIEVES: I could not possibly give them less than one star. Signed me up and then told me I could not use the service. I asked for my money back and they proceeded to ignore me for 6 months. I've blocked payments with my bank and now I'm being harassed to pay up, nobody wants to discuss that I never got to even use the service.
AL PARK the senior global account executive added me on linkedin and asked me if I'd started using the service but kept ignoring my replies when I told him its not working and what does he need from me to get it working, I was ignored 3 times on this.
ITS A SCAM. DO NOT USE THEM.

Not perfect but not as bad as some people are saying
I was looking for a virtual landline provider for my Australian clients, and Avoxi kept coming up in search results, I initially dismissed them for a while due to the number of negative reviews on Trust pilot, and many of the positive reviews looked kind of fake as well.
After going through several other providers who were pretty crap, i got desperate and decided to give Avoxi a go, despite all the terrible feedback here.
I've since moved on, but only because I've finally found a provider who gives me everything I've been looking for.
Back to Avoxi.
First off, the customer service is actually pretty good. I got an account manager who gave me a call and answered my questions and helped with tech support. That's better than the previous two i worked with.
Next the functionality - It has a much better dashboard than any of the providers I've used including my current one. There's a lot of flexiblity. The only things you can't do are call whisper, and Google Analytics, which is a $75/month upgrade, which is BS and the main reason I ended up leaving.
Now to the billing. This was a bit of a let down. I signed up for a $7.99 plan, but after all of the hidden fees, that quickly turned into $12 + call recording ($6.99). this was not very transparent, and really ticked me off.
Lastly the account cancellation. This was the source of the biggest whinges i saw on trust pilot so I was prepared for a pretty bad experience. Instead, the ported my number away for free (!!!!) and refunded me my final month payment after i asked nicely. So for everyone complaining about getting over charged after leaving, not sure how that happened.
So all in all, good service, a few missing features which caused me to leave, great dashboard, great account cancellation process, but irritating hidden fees.
