Beautiful swimwear, even better company!

I absolutely love the swimsuit I ordered from Averie. The quality is unparalleled, and it's such a unique design. It was well worth the production time wait, and I appreciate the company's approach to waste reduction. Further, their customer service is incredible- fast response times and informative associates. I have definitely found my go-to swimwear company!

6 mos without receipt, poor customer service

I placed an order in Febuary 2022 for a bathing suit and pair of pajamas that was part of their spring line. No contact, no updates. I reached out in May to check on the status of my order and was given some broad information about sourcing issues delaying production and vague information that my order would "ship soon". It's now the end of July and Ive yet to receive any updates or products.

Unfortunately, we did face some fulfillment delays over the past few months and, while we've have been working hard to overcome them, I am very sorry that your order was affected.
As you stated, we faced supply chain issues, a worldwide fabric shortage and delays in shipping and production which pushed out the delivery dates of many orders. We also had an overwhelmingly positive response to our made-to-order production model and new designs, something we were delighted to see but compounded the issue.
Unfortunately, we are not able to find your order number and can only assume that you now have your delivery. Grounds for lawsuit

This company has a lawsuit waiting to happen. It is illegal to lie about shipping times in the way that they do. This is my second time ordering something from them - the first time it took 20+ weeks when I was quoted 4. This time my order is now going on two months late. Absolutely unacceptable. Extremely lazy customer service as well.

***UPDATE***
IT IS NOW MID OCTOBER AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THIS ITEM. Now FIVE months late. I have emailed numerous times over the last month and get no response. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE. I will now have to begin the dispute process with my bank. Biggest scam ever.

Our Operations and Supply teams have been working everyday to overcome these issues, which included both internal and external issues; like worldwide fabric shortages, extended logistics and shipping times, and production timelines. We’re really happy to say that these issues are now much improved, and our made-to-order collections are shipping in their specified time windows.
At the same time, we’ve also been working hard to continually improve our communication with our Customer Support Network both directly and through our Social Media platforms. We’re currently in the process of launching our new up-to-date order overview, which will show you where your made-to-order item(s) are in our production lines! This will hopefully help everyone track their orders, and see where exactly in the production stage each and every item is sitting!
Unfortunately, I have not been able to find your order number in our system with the information I have at hand, so I can only assume that you now have your order. Terrible Experience! $700 Spent, 12 Week Wait, & Still No Items!

I ordered items on April 27, 2022, that were supposed to take up to 8 weeks before they arrived. I am now approaching the 12th week and still have not received a single thing - no tracking number, no proactive communication. I have reached out to them several times and the delivery date keeps changing, and they can never answer my questions in full. I ordered additional items (before I knew how bad this company was) that were supposed to arrive at the beginning to mid-June. I'm now being told the items won't ship until the middle of August. Considering that their dates keep changing I'm willing to bet this will actually be October/November before anything is shipped. They also said they would ship the items that were ready to go within the order the very next day, and it's been two weeks and I'm still waiting for a tracking number and the package. The patters look great, and the items look fun, but it's not worth this. I've spent close to $700 and am terribly displeased.
Update: orders arrived finally in August, although my second order never came and I finally requested to just cancel the order, and were promptly returned. Sizing was off, and material/colors were not reflective of the website photos. Colors are much more bright online. Material felt cheap.

Fast Shipping + Good Customer Service

My experience with Averie was totally different than some of the older reviews. I ordered a swimsuit and it arrived quickly. Unfortunately, it didn't fit but the returns process was so easy and fast. I got my replacement suit right away. It fit perfectly and is such a gorgeous-looking piece of clothing.

Bottom line (circa summer 2022): very fast shipping, beautiful products, helpful customer service.

Damaged item and horrible service

Waited over two months and received a robe with a hole punched in the sleeve. No response from customer service in over a week. Will be disputing the charge if they don’t respond.

Edit- Your response is the exact same BS that is sent in every automatic reply you consider correspondence. Took 4 months to receive the item and every response on your part took over a week. Wish I had read other reviews before ordering to know what a horrible experience I was getting into.

Here at Averie, we operate with an on demand production model so that we can avoid over-production, reduce waste, and conserve the Earth's resources. This means that many items in our catalogue are only produced once a customer makes an order and so, there is a production time associated with them, usually of 6-8 weeks. When an item is preordered like this, you receive a discount to account for the longer shipping time and both the discount and the shipping time are communicated on the product page.
While we take care to check each and every order before sending them out, on the rare occasion a faulty product is received and we are very sorry that this is what happened in your case. We were dealing with a high volume of email contacts at the time and this unfortunately led to a delay in responding to you but I am very glad to see that the issue has now been resolved.
We are currently hard at work on new updates to our website that will mean that communication delays like this don't happen again but in the meantime, I would like to sincerely apologise, on behalf of everyone here at Averie, for our late response.

Don't order if you want your products on time.

I ordered this product 18 weeks ago and still have not received it! I have emailed the company multiple times and they send the same form response...we stich every piece by hand blah blah. The timeline posted is 6-8 weeks. I ordered this as well as 2 other bathing suits on March 4th for summer vacations which have now passed. By the time I actually receive the products it will be 20 weeks from my order date. To top it off I wrote this one-star review yesterday and they deleted it!!! Posting it again today and everyday so people are aware to order their bathing suits a year in advance! Do not trust the review bank as it is monitored and edited!

Looooong wait. Beautiful swimwear.

I placed an order for 3 swimsuits in March of 2022. I was very concerned when they hadn’t arrived by May and started to think I had been scammed. I emailed and was assured they would ship by the end of May. June arrived but the suits did not. I emailed again and, low-and-behold, a shipping email arrived.

The suits arrived the end of June and I must admit they are very well made and look as good as the photos. I’m pleased with the products, though perhaps not with the communication.

Still waiting ...

It seems that I'm one of many who ordered a suit in May -- it's now July -- and am still waiting for any sign of life from this company. I have written to customer service twice and received nothing but messages reading "we've received your email".

Still Waiting after 17 weeks

I ordered 2 items (one ready and one preorder item) on March 5 2022. I was quoted about 8 weeks for the items. I waited and emailed in May to check the status of the order and was told the items were finished and would ship out end of May. Totally cool- I am fine waiting, but May came and went, as did June. I have send numerous emails since to get an update/ request a refund and have yet to receive a response. I am all for being a sustainable company but waiting over 17 weeks for an order is a bit outrageous, and I believe the reviews now saying this company is a scam/fraud. I am so disappointed as I really liked their mission to be more sustainable. Hoping to get my money back at some point....

I have taken a look into your order and emails, and I see that my team have been in touch with you regarding the shipping dates and production updates for your two items, which have both since been delivered and one of which has been returned. I do see as well that a chargeback was raised before our warehouse had finished processing the return for a refund (our timeframe is typically 7-10 days from delivery of a return). Unfortunately, a chargeback ends up blocking the money with your chosen bank and from there, the banks can take up to 75 days to process & address these topics, and the account is blocked from us issuing the refund back directly. We also hope the bank’s review is completed very shortly, or the chargeback is removed and this way we can directly and quickly refund the item to resolve it right away.
We’ve definitely learnt a lot over these past months, and as a young company with big ambitions, we are really keen to continue to improve our processes, as well as expand our production and shipping capacities. I would like to sincerely apologise, on behalf of everyone here at Averie, that your order was affected by these delays, and we would certainly love the opportunity one day to make it up to you and show you how much we have improved. I would also like to thank you for supporting us in our mission to promote sustainability in fashion.

Nothing to swim in!…

I ordered a swimsuit months and months ago. They told me it was sold out—so I ordered a different one. That one also never arrived. It is July and all I get is incomprehensible e-mails telling me they are so busy they can’t answer e-mails. Please—just send me the swimsuit I paid for last winter.

I ordered three swim suits on March 24

I ordered three swim suits on March 24, 2022 and still have not received my swimsuits. Estimated timeframe at checkout was 6-8 weeks. It’s now been 14 and still no product. I was not advised if delays or new estimated timelines. Customer service is not helpful.

Never received my order

I ordered two swimsuits on March 28th it is now June 21st. The swimsuits said made to order and gave me a window of 6 to 8 weeks till shipped. It’s been over 12 weeks!!! And nothing. I emailed the company and got a generic response. Saying our swimsuits are made or order to save waste. So they clearly didn’t read my email because it’s over four weeks past when it should have shipped. So I left a review on their website saying exactly all this and it was deleted the next day. So they responded very fast to a bad review but not to my not receiving my order. I definitely don’t think you should risk ordering from them. I wished I had looked at other places for reviews instead of their website and instagram. Because clearly they are deleting any bad reviews on there. Tons of bad reviews of customers not receiving the orders they placed and not getting a response when trying to contact them is all over. But on their website. It has only good reviews. But what made me realize it’s a bad company even more then my order not coming. Is them deleting my review. And others. So clearly it’s a scam place. Now I have to deal with disputing this order with my credit card company. I’m most certainly going to report them to the bbb and try to find as many places as I can to leave a review that they can’t delete. So hopefully others won’t have to deal with this issue.

It's been almost six months?

I ordered my girlfriend a swimsuit for Valentine's Day (which was Monday February 14, 2022, for those of you keeping track) per her request so, I ordered a couple weeks in advance of that. I told her, "they say six to eight weeks to ship, so it'll be here for summer!") it took closer to fifteen weeks for it to ship, and when it arrived, I had bought a size too small. She returned it and requested a larger size which wouldn't ship for much longer, so she chose an alternative. When she sent the return it was marked UNDELIVERABLE and had to follow up. (We had used a label PROVIDED BY Averie!?) anyhow, it's now late June and she's still waiting on this replacement swimsuit. Hopefully she receives it before the summer is over so that my VALENTINES GIFT from JANUARY doesn't go to complete waste.

Worst company I’ve ever tried to buy…

Worst company I’ve ever tried to buy from. I paced an order in February and I still do not have it. They told me in May that they would send two of the three pieces that were ready and I would have them in the next 4-6 days and a month later still nothing. I understand made to order which is why I ordered bathing suits in February, it’s approaching July and still not one piece.

I love this suit !

The quality of my (pagoda) suit was better than I anticipated for such a reasonable price point ! I’m a true size 10 and I ordered the size Large. I’m 57 years old With a long torso and bust size of 38 D . The large fits well and holds all of my aging nonsense in! 😂. I would recommend this brand and will purchase again .
