Only bought one phone. For now

Only bought one phone so far. Didn't contact support but I did get updated on shipping and tracking. I'm someone that usually waits until the stated day of delivery before I make any complaints of sorts. So to receive my phone a couple days earlier was great. Can't remember when exactly I bought it, just know it was December.Will be buying again. Thank AD and team!

I ordered the oppo find x7 ultra from…

I ordered the oppo find x7 ultra from this store last year and it was a perfect order with zero issues. Mike gave good communication throughout and phone arrived as the website says with good tracking details via shop app.

Bought my x100 Ultra from AD in August…

Bought my x100 Ultra from AD in August 2024. Ordered on Saturday and arrived to the UK the following week. Customs fee was reimbursed the same day.

No issues at all, and would use again without question if the price is right.

Fast Delivery, White Glove service and best prices!

I have delt with Mike (The Average Dad) a few times already and never faced any issues with my orders. Customer service is always that white glove service customers deserve. Orders always arrived within 3 days to Canada which is fantastic, fastest I have seen. Prices are always compared to other companies gives you the best deal and Mike provides the coupon codes to knock the price down even further.

Email to ask something and he's extremely rude and incredibly unprofessional if he don't like something your asking. Living within his self absorbed ego , avoid at all costs.

He talk in a very rude way

He stated that he match if I found a cheaper price. Then he started sending me very rude and degrading audios on WhatsApp stating I have trouble understanding how business works.
Then he deleted all the audios and blocked me.

He has a salty and condescendant way of talking to people every time you don't share his opinion.

Regret. Don't use. Buy from Wonda

Item described as being 'in-stock' but took a week to get the tracking number and FedEx took 3 days to deliver once they got it.
2 weeks after delivered, I got an invoice from FedEx for customs duty for £30. AD Tech only pay customs fees above £40 - that's convenient for them.

I have seen many many unhappy reviews posted on Reddit.

When I emailed to say that I was unhappy with the charge, he replied and called me "childish" in amongst a general rant.

Buy from Wonda. I've bought from them many times and never had any delays to shipping or custom fees.

You blocked us (after sending an email telling us that you were) but never really addressed the email that I sent you regarding your feedback to us (Slow to ship & unexpected charge for customs):

Thank you for contacting Average Dad Support.

The Custom fee isn't a hidden charge, we have a whole section in the top menu that can be navigated to at any point on our website:

We mention our shipping policy whenever we mention a phone being available on the tech store.

Also our shipping policy is to cover any shipping fees over the value of £40, if you were charged £40.01 we would have covered it. You have been charged £26 which unfortunately is below what we cover, we can't help that FedEx have charged you that amount and not a higher amount.

Going over your feedback, I just want to clarify that:

You ordered the phone on the 2nd of March (8.51pm) and the phone was delivered on the 11th (around 10am). This is within our stated delivery estimates (5-8 business days), which can be found in the shipping section AND on the order invoice:

The phone was shipped to you in 7 working days, so I am confused as to why you think that is slow when it is exactly what we state?

With regards to your other point, if you have ordered from Wonda (or any other company from outside of the UK) you would know that you would be charged a custom fee by the courier for clearing customs. This isn't a fee that we charge, but a fee that gets charged by the courier, which isn't hidden either.

You did respond stating that you have ordered 6 times from Wonda previously and never had to pay customs, which is actually super lucky to be honest as the customs fees do tend to be at random.

I had super customer service experience…

I had super customer service experience with Average Dad Tech store after an unfortunate situation. A staff member made an unauthorized purchase from the store, and I noticed the transaction on my bank statement. I immediately contacted my bank and then reached out to Average Dad Tech for assistance.

I was impressed with how quickly they responded. Their team was not only prompt in addressing the matter but also demonstrated a high level of professionalism and attentiveness throughout the process. They resolved the issue swiftly, which gave me great peace of mind.

Full refund as promised.

We are often quick to complain but sometimes we have to give credit where credit is do.

Absolutely shocking customer service

Absolutely shocking customer service. A straightforward delivery update was met with a totally uncalled for reaction. This guy hasn't grasped that without customers he has no business.
And his response to this speaks volumes.

Email from you on the 6th of March at 15.49: "Could you possibly give me an update of when my N5 will actually ship. A tracking number does not give this information until FedEx actually have the item."

Our response (18 minutes later): Hi there,

Your order is in pre shipment status and is currently being prepared for shipping, which includes packing the device,
attaching labels, and final quality checks, but it hasn't been handed over to the delivery carrier yet. This is a normal part of the
shipping process, and you can expect to see movement on your tracking number soon.
Please keep an eye out for a separate email containing your tracking information if you have not already received it.

Your response (10 minutes later): "I'm sorry but that is an ambiguous response. You haven't given me any actual information. I ordered this on the 13th of February and there was no mention that after the tracking number was provided there would be another delay. A tracking number in normal circumstances means it has been posted. Not that a label has been printed."

Our response (2 hours later): I understand Chris, the phone was not released for sale until 2/26 so it was pre ordered at that point in time. I can not predict when the package will be picked up by FedEx, all that I am able to tell you is that they are in the process of getting your order ready to ship, and once it has been scanned at the FedEx facility the tracking will update. Please be patient as they are making their way through several hundred orders for this device alone.

Your response (50 minutes later): "I appreciate what you are saying but it is misleading to promise a tracking number that is in reality just a label and does not relate to tracking at all as FedEx hadn't even received the item."

Our response (10 mins later): Hey, how is it misleading?? the timescales are very clear on the website! we add the tracking to these phones as they are so popular and Fedex will only take 50 per day from our supplier so do not QUESTION HOW WE DO THINGS.

The final chain was us emailing you initially about timescales on the 6th of March at 15.46, to which you replied: "Mine was ordered on the 13th Feb and I have a tracking number but FedEx do not have the item. Can you please confirm when they will have it to actually ship."

We replied (1 1/2 hours later): order being shipped tomorrow 👍

We were very cordial with you across all 3 email chains, whereas your emails appear to be quite barbed, Sam tried her best to explain in great detail our process for the N5 and Mike gave you a direct answer. Neither of these approaches seemed to satisfy you.

Thank you for your feedback though, we will endeavor to try and create a 3rd approach of customer service for customers such as yourself.

Vague wording and cancelled order

The shipping policy wording on the website is vague. When they say: Shipping 5 - 8 business days, it means it may leave the source within 5 - 8 business days. I waited for 8 business days and the goods had not left yet. I cancelled my order and asked for a refund, and my money was received 3 days later.

Your order was for a phone that had specified shipping in the product description. Sam explained to you why you had a tracking number (to keep your order in a queue).

We were nothing but transparent with you about lead times and our processes.

This seller is a thief, Beware!!!

This seller is a thief, at first he is nice and advises, after the order he becomes rude and angry about the delivery question. Promised to ship within 2 days, then sends the site policy of delivery between 5-8 working days. Canceled my order and did not return money to PayPal, I had to open a dispute against him. It is better to buy from reliable sites like Giztop, Wondamobile, do not mess with him!

ALL customs fees over £30 are paid by the Average Dad Tech Store.

If you are charged a custom fee, please pay it, send me the receipt and I will refund you if the amount is over £30.

Please note: all customs requests must be shared within 7 days of the phone being delivered.

Custom charges vary from country to country, while we don't expect there to be any charges, please check with your local customs authority.

Your order is currently with our warehouse, once they hand over your order to the couriers we will provide you with a tracking number so you can check the progress of your order!

There are no more correspondences via email after our email.

If you had an agreement with Mike via WhatsApp, why didn't you email us stating that?

Your order was cancelled on November 21 at 18.12 (again GMT), as the order had not been fulfilled on Shopify the cancellation automatically leads to a refund.

Refunds via shopify can take up to 5 working days to go through, however our records show that the refund to PayPal was Instantaneous (it went through at 18.12).

Calling us theives is extremely slanderous and untrue, which is why we have reported this review.
