On line booking was easy, good, responsive customer service and an excellent quality car. We’ll use Elizabeth car hire again on our next trip to Lanzarote.

Well maintained car and clear instructions

This is a long review. The moral is not to pay for cars before they are delivered and to ensure a person from the rental company meets you when the cars are delivered.

I hired 2 cars from Autoselizabeth for a holiday in Lanzarote during the period 2-13 February 2025. One car was for 11 days. The other was for 4 days both being returned on the same day. I have rented cars from them over many years and have until now been very happy with their service. While the all inclusive insurance, car quality and up to 3 drivers per vehicle remain great, the administration, delivery and collection left a lot to be desired on this occasion. They say they have tried to streamline their service by using the internet. This needed much more work to make it customer friendly. I find it best to do an international call to them from the uk to book cars in advance of the holiday. I did this on this occasion. So far so good. But … I was sent links by WhatsApp to the booking records which had different delivery and collection locations from the ones I had requested. It was not possible to amend this part of the record. So I responded over WhatsApp to reiterate my requirements. No change to the internet record but they had the requirements on WhatsApp. When delivery time approached I had a request for payment before the cars were delivered which I did and confirmed the delivery location. The response was that the location I had requested was in Puerto del Carmen not where I was in Costa Teguise. I gave the full postal address of the delivery location. Just before delivery, I was unexpectedly required to upload copies of passports and driving licences even though I had entered the details online previously. Online signatures of the drivers were also required. This was time consuming as the resolution of the photos was not always satisfactory. The car was delivered half an hour’s walk away! It was raining at the time. Definitely not happy. The second car delivery was better although I still felt that I was on a wild goose chase as it wasn’t at the location specified and I walked the full length of the road. It was on a neighbouring road with a completely different name which fortunately proved to be only 4 minutes walk away after I asked for confirmation of the location. Again not happy especially when I was told it was delivered to the location requested which it wasn’t. Collection also left a lot to be desired. I prepared both cars for collection eg topped up the petrol, emptied and tidied, well before the end of the rental contract. I informed them that they were ready for collection by WhatsApp and sent a map with the precise location. That was quickly acknowledged by WhatsApp with thanks. I then was surprised to receive an email the following morning saying the keys were not at reception and I must return the cars immediately as they were needed for the next customers! I responded pointing out the WhatsApp communication. In the meantime someone came to pick up the cars.

Never had a problem using this company, cars always clean & reliable. Easy to hire (don’t forget your passport & driving licence) reasonable prices. Will definitely use again. Dustin very helpful

Bit cheaper than the other rental cars, but very rude on the customer service by phone

Booked and paid deposit 28.december - for a car The 1. January
We were Very specific on The car type - and booked a Group “cabriolet” / beetle. The car Was booked. With No issues. The 1st - The car Company came to The hotel with a Auris.. 2 Groups LESS than booked. With and excuse that The roof Was broken / 5 min later The car Was just unavailable - and at The end it Was at the repair shop.
We even paid the less expensive car Group.
The sales rep Was “you want it or not?”
We waited 4 days for a car / they didnt even Care to give us a Call Regarding the change !!.

Furthermore we had a Hole Day on LANZAROTE - without seeing Any beetle from this Company. But plenty from other car rental Companies..
That makes you wonder. !!

Best advice ? Dont use Them.
Eventhough they have Great prices and terms..!

Autos Elizabeth is the best option to rental car because when we can not take Kitesurf lessons because of the weather conditions, our clients can get a car wherever they are and have the nice experience of driving around the island of Lanzarote. Autos Elizabeth is a quick and easy option to get a car.
