Had a pumpkin head unit with DAB radio and reversing camera in my Ford for 6 years.

In all that time it's crashed twice but other than that has worked perfectly and made the car a much nicer place to be.

Note - it's only used for navigation, music and occasionally asking Google questions.

I've never updated it and otherwise have no interest in other functions.

Do not buy goods from this website this is not uk seller when you have problem they will refuse to response paid £100 for faulty car dvd player and they not response regarding refund or exchange.

The unit I bought worked for about 6 - 9 months without problems, it then started developing problems which required a reset almost daily. I contacted customer service and they sent me some software and instructions on how to install it and said this update would fix all my problems. I ran the software as instructed, the unit rebooted and then got stuck on the boot logo. When I reported this they gave me another file and said that I needed to run this to reinstall the firmware, when this didn't work they said I needed to put the unit into recovery mode, but they couldn't tell me how to do it. They then said I needed a new circuit board and it would cost me £20, I refused to pay on the grounds that I did as instructed and that killed the unit. They then said the manufacturer was sending me a new board in 7 - 8 days, this was October 23, after 14 days I contacted them to ask where the board was and they ignored me. I have tried to contact them via various media and every time they block me and won't answer any questions. This company try to give the impression that they manufacture these head units, the truth is they just by in unbadged products and put them in there own boxes. They cannot give customer service because they don'take them and they have no knowledge of how they work. It is now January 4th and the circuit board has still not arrived, so I can safely assume that it was never coming and they were prepared to put their lies writing.
If you are looking to buy this style of unit don't buy from Pumpkin and do lots of research until you find a company that has lots of good reviews.

I purchased a unit 9 months ago. Recently the unit became defective. When I approached them I was told to cut wiring at the back to try and get it to work . I did not do this due to the , so called guarantee. When I approached them again about getting a refund or replacement unit I was offered £50 to get it fixed myself or I had to pay £130 for a new one as I had had it for nine months. The guarantee does not exist if your unit becomes faulty . I would highly recommend not buying if your expecting to get a guarantee

Ordered 2 x dvd players (£180) on offer. Wish I had read reviews before purchasing.
Never received the order as the delivery company put it in rubbish & parcel wasn’t left with neighbour which wasn’t company fault. However contacted immediately to sort & continuously asking me to wait they’ve raised a dispute with evri , I waited and waited and now 3 weeks later they have stopped communicating with me altogether haven’t heard back from several emails in a week!
Will not update me on this evri claim which doesn’t take this long I’m unsure if they even made it.
I’m two dvd players down and £180!
I am now having to try claw my money back

Unlike other companies they don't provide updates to the os. You might be able to get over if you beg and provide purchase date model number and everything but chances are it won't be available let alone fix the buggy software.

Absolutelly wasted money for that rubbish crap !!!!
After one year completelly broken no chance get parts for that , no body can fix that and comunication with seller rubbish as well , they just lie people and promised warranty but finaly no chance for refund or any of help
Be aware , don't even think bye that crap , better spent extra for good brands !
I bought that 1 year ago , cost me £250 and now radio in bin and never got money back from that ! 😡😡😡

Unit arrived in good time but lacked harness to connect to the car it was advertised for. I contacted their customer support and they pointed me to harnesses on a German EBay site. Great I thought at least I can get sorted but the seller doesn’t ship to the UK. Contacted customer support a couple of time further and now my email is blocked. Thankfully a friend knew what I needed and got it sorted, no thanks to Pumkin. Will never buy from them again

Android 8 radio. After 1 year the GPS stopps working. A repair was not possible. After a long search I was manage to get a external usb-gps working with the radio.
Now after about 2 years the radio had to be discarst: The touch sensor of the screen dit not work any longer in the lower half and the left 2/3 of the screen.

Hi everyone, I bought a car with pumpkin android stereo and before a few weeks I was driving the car and the screen get frozen,then get restarted and can't start to the main menu. It shows only android and loading, but never can't start.
Any recommendations....I've try all the tricks I found(reset,holding batons and everything else I found).Keeping the main batons until start flashing, release it,press it again and it shows me text(starting update) but still nothing. Please help

Bought a Pumpkin Android 10 from top Rated seller, Shop on ebay, Apart from the Poor sound quality it worked fine for 2 months, the Canbus (brown box that controls the power and links to car) failed, the seller sent a new one from China that lasted 3 days, it failed 4 times in total, now I just have a £236.00 Paperweight
, the seller stopped replying to emails,
I tried to get a refund through PayPal, not as described but they went with the seller even though it's not as described because its not working.

I purchased a unit 6 months ago, ten days ago it caught fire. I have written 7 times to the manufacturer and still no resolution. I have a warranty card that tells me I have a 12months warranty. They do not seem to want to honour the warranty

Bought a unit back in October 2021 worked all fine today got a hissing sound from speakers unit turns on and off now no sound no apps works cannot use anything just frozen done a reset still no luck.

I really like the 2 Din Car Stereo， it is arrived than expected and we installed easily. Like the RGB light to set it to match my car and it can also automatically switch to rear camera when reversing the car.

The unit is OK, but the support is non existent. Once you buy it you are on your own.
No software updates, no configuration support and no problem fix.
Buy one of these at your own risk.

DO NOT BUY. Bought radio in November 2020. Radio has lost power 5 times. Have been trying to get refund but basically being ignored. They have offered to sell me another one for £80. DO NOT BUY.

i have had a replacement system off them that does not work, i contacted them as they have an 18mth guarantee on all there systems. after receiving the replacement it kind of worked for a short time and again stopped working, all the while i have sent photos and videos, they next asked me to pay for another motherboard as it was possibly faulty. i received this after some time and to no surprise still not working, they then said i should take to a shop to get it repaired i have refused as this would then cost me more. they then said ohh we will send you £40 in compensation. i only asked for the item to be replaced and was told i would have to pay a further £80 if i wanted a new unit. i have further messaged and emailed them but have had no reply for some time now. so possibly legal action next as im not excepting they have not responded to my email or messages.

One star too good. Support do not reply , unit is now in the bin. Dont bother with these units a waste of energy manufacturing them.

Been looking at the bad reviews for this company, none have had a reply from pumpkin trying to defend their bad product reviews, maybe they have purchased one of their products themselves and find the poor reviews justified.???
