Helpful and easy to use
The site has great search options and provides excellent offers for car rentals, with clear details and preferences. Super easy to make a reservation and a valuable feature to be able to do a free cancellation up to 48h before pick up.

Don't bother
Don't bother. I hired a car through autoeurope and the local supplier was flex to go. Upon arrival at Warsaw Chopin Airport on Saturday 26th July 2025, we were told as we were just over an hour late, our booking had been cancelled. Flight information is available to them as you are asked to provide an inbound flight number and I can only assume it is for this purpose. Anyway, we then had to hire at the desk at a cost of £350 for the week. The original booking was £110. I have been in contact with autoeurope for the last 10days or so who keep telling me I'll get a refund when they hear from the supplier. This process does not take 10 days. I believe there may be some element of scam activity here. Rent cars at a reduced rate then if the customer is delayed in the slightest then charge it out at a higher price.

The reason for the delay is that, as a broker, we must receive verification from the local supplier, Flex To Go, that the service was unused. This is a crucial step for us to be able to issue a refund. Without their confirmation that the booking was a "no-show," we are unable to process any reimbursement.
The process of receiving this verification can sometimes be slower than we'd like. This is because we are dependent on the supplier to provide us with the necessary information before we can proceed on our end. We are actively following up with them to get the confirmation required to move forward with your case.
We understand that waiting is frustrating, and we thank you for your continued patience. Please be assured that we our customer service Team is doing everything they can to resolve this matter for you as quickly as possible. Misleading FullProtection
First of all, I didn’t find my beloved function “zero excess.” Second, when I selected full protection, which appeared only during booking (when I had already spent time investigating the local options to buy additional insurance), it was misleadingly stated that it covers excess. But later on, when I studied the voucher, it appeared that renter’s excess is 4.3k, and the max coverage of the FullProtection product is 3.2k. I see that as misleading information. Other than that, it's ok

This company robbed us of 1200 EUR!
We prepaid for a car in our vacation in Greece, upon arrival they notified us that we no showed and therefore they cancelled our reservation and kept our money.
They are collaborating with local scammers called Gold Car and together they are double booking the same car to different people and are getting double payments.
They destroyed our family vacation!!!!
Stay away from them.

Felt like a total scam
Felt like a total scam - I paid for four days rent, my flight was delayed - I informed Autoeurepe as it stated in the information received - they promised to reach out to the rental company. They did not, so I lost the car I already paid for. The rental company informed me that if they had heard from Autoeurope about my delay, they would have kept the car for us - but since they heard nothing, I lost the car. I needed a car and ended up paying double the price with a different dealer and did not receive neither any help nor a refund from Autoeurope. Their customer service was awful. DON’T USE THEM!!!

It is common practice for car rental companies worldwide to reserve the right to refuse vehicle delivery in case of a delayed pick-up, without the original renter receiving a refund. This policy is set by the individual rental companies, and as an intermediary, Auto Europe unfortunately has no control over it. All we can do is try to ensure our customers are informed by including this information in the booking confirmation and voucher.
Please note that in case of a delayed or canceled flight, you must always contact Auto Europe and inform us of the delay, so that we can contact the car rental company on your behalf and do our best to help find a solution. Otherwise, the rental company is not obligated to hold the vehicle beyond the agreed pick-up time.
In the case of a flight delay within the EU caused by the airline, please contact the airline to request compensation.
Although we do not control our partners’ policies, we strive to ensure the best possible solution for our customers. If you would like our assistance, we will be happy to contact [supplier] and attempt to obtain a goodwill refund. Please note, however, that we cannot guarantee a positive outcome.
