High charge for 2nd driver
Booking was straight forward but when I selected that there would be 2 drivers they should have mad it clear in the confirmation that this adds an extra 10 euro per day which increases our one week rental by over a third.... Its in the fine print but since I had selected it when booking it should be clearer straight up.

The extra driver charge is clearly stated in the terms and conditions under the "Drivers Information" tab. As each supplier has their own rules and regulations it is best to always read the terms and conditions prior to confirming your booking so that you are 100% happy.

I have just confirmed with our Reservations staff that your booking has been confirmed.
At the top right corner of the website it will always say "My Account" even if you are signed into your AutoEurope account. When you hover your mouse over it is when it will show your name and account details. If you need any more information please do not hesitate to ask.

True test is when things go wrong
We found booking through the website easy. But the measure of a company is when you have a difficulty with your rental. We had a difficulty with the details of our rental and Auto Europe went above and beyond to help fix it. Their 24 hour phone service is a reality and very efficient.

Update: company response to my review "thanks for your feedback" was both non-specific and totally unhelpful. At the very least they could have acknowledged the problem and advised how it would be corrected.

beware - no refunds whatsoever :(
A bit upset with this company because I booked and that was all fine but I realised I had mixed up my dates and had to cancel. There was still two months until the actual date of pick-up. They offer no refund at all. Just really upsetting. We all make mistakes, surely this can be accommodated??

Booked a car rental for France. Site had clear information and good range of vehicles. Difficult area like insurance was well explained, and conditions / constraints crystal clear in plain language. Help line person once connected was knowledgable, related well and got me through a glitch in my understanding of process quickly. Only quibble was time waiting to get connected- over 5 minutes. That said, they must be busy- rest of service so far has been brilliant! Recommended.
