Absolute cowboys of the highest order

Absolute cowboys of the highest order. Bought a car, was told it would be a week to prep. Took a month as they allegedly found a gearbox fault. Still to this day not had proof of the completed work despite 100s of calls. Glad they've gone bust to be honest.

I'm glad to hear they have ceased…

I'm glad to hear they have ceased trading. They were liars and con artists in disguise. They had my car for 4 months to replace an engine that supposedly had a new cam belt and water pump and it broke down in a precarious live lane less than 3 months of having it. Finally got it back with many electrical issues that I'm still trying to sort. Warranty they got me to buy was a waste of money. As I couldn't even use it. Wasters deserve what they got!

Do not touch this place!

AutoChoice has caused me nothing but endless stress. Purchased a car at the start of April, picked it up everything fine… then it wouldn’t start as soon as I got it back so I took it straight back after getting it going. Turns out the tensioner on the alternator needed replacing and wasn’t charging the battery. Something that was ticked off on their ‘checks’ as well as the battery. One of the ‘mechanics’ went along the lines of ‘I can tighten that and the battery is reading at 60% that’s fine’ … after I’ve driven it for half hour to get back to their garage should be more than 60%. I refused that and said I wanted a new part and battery. They did do this and then were to drive the car back to me the next day. Well they did drive it back, but it got into an ‘accident’ and a moter bike went into the door causing dents and damage. They carried on to deliver me the car back now damaged and was told the owner of AutoChoice would ring me first thing and it would all be sorted. I had to chase the next day for him to call me and at this point was going to hand the car back and get my money back as it was not the car I paid a decent amount of money for. The owner was apologetic, gave me some rubbish about how he had daughters and he’d never let anything like this happen to them and he’s a man of his word blah blah. Anyway, I agreed to bring the car in and talk it through the following Wednesday. The day before due to take it back I realised the hearing wasn’t working properly, again something that was ticked off on their check sheets. So I took the car back and was fully up for giving it back and getting my money back even though it would mean I would be without a car and I did actually really like the car it’s self. Eventually we agreed on some compensation back and everything would be fixed… they had it just over two weeks and this week have been stringing me along about it being ready. I rang them Wednesday to be told oh I think it’s tomorrow the owner is in a meeting he’ll call me back - this was sales man Josh. I never received a call back and kept ringing and ringing. The next day again tried in the morning no answer, only to see a notice on their website to say that they had ceased trading!!! Went straight down there to see what the hell was going on to be met with locked gates. Spoke to a mechanic who rang Carl the general manager. He came basically said the car wasn’t there it was still at the wheel garage and good luck getting it because AutoChoice owe them money. Luckily the wheel garage had my car and after proving I was the owner they got the wheel on for me and I was able to drive away. The car it’s self was disgusting inside and out, whoever they used for the body shop clearly didn’t care about the car or even try to cover up the inside whilst doing the door, there was dust and paint spray everywhere and broken glass in the back. And to make matters worse they have messed the heating up even more so now I still have faulty heating system despite them telling me they fixed it!! There’s now scratches over the car that were not there before and I am going to be out of pocket to get it fully cleaned inside and out and also get the heating fixed because surprise it’s not covered by the warranty. I will not see that compensation and I now have a car that was sold as faulty and in worse condition than when I purchased it and I’ve driven it three days since I purchased it three weeks ago! I asked where the owner was and they just said he’s disappeared and they’ve not been paid. Clearly new it was happening and still taking peoples deposits right up to the moment they ‘ceased trading’. I feel sorry for customers who will not see their deposits back or who have paid in full and they have the cars in their compound. AutoChoice is an absolute diabolical operation and I will be escalating to the motor ombudsmen to see if I can get any compensation for the absolute mess they have left me with. If they re open do not touch this place!! For anyone that works at AutoChoice reading this you should be ashamed of yourselves leaving customers out of pocket, causing unwanted and unnecessary stress. Not even calling customers who have cars with you to tell them and shutting your phone lines off so you can just bury your heads in the sand. Disgusting.

Deposit of £500 taken yesterday, changed my mind and asked for get deposit back. Blocked on what's app, all days calls declined on landline etc. Avoid everyone. Website also saying business seased. Reported to the bank police as well.

Happy Customer 😊

Initially had some problems with the warranty company but after speaking with Adam from Autochoice, he resolved it within 24hours.

Buying a 2nd hand car can be quite stressful especially when dealing with less scrupulous dealers.

Autochoice have a great reputation and I would definitely go to them in future when considering buying another car.

Really nice garage & great customer service

We're very happy with the car that we have bought from this garage.
I contacted the garage considering a specific car advertised. I explained my needs and my current situation.
Josh was very friendly and helpful and did all that he could to make my experience as easy as possible for my particular situation.
If I had any queries, he happily answered them and kept communication regular through the whole process.
On the day of my visit, Adam finalised the paperwork and again, I was very happy with his customer service.
There was no pushing into making decisions or purchasing extra products like you can get from a lot of garages and I really appreciated that.
The garage was easy to find, good space to park and well presented. The showroom was too.
I would definitely recommend this garage to others

Still chasing for a refund.

Put down a deposit for a car, that was promised would be ready at the end of the week (Following some work that needed to be done. Not sure why this wasn’t completed before the car was advertised). I had to call for updates 3 times before they told me it was sent to a specialist - still no actual information. I called again to find out they couldn’t fix it and wouldn’t be able to sell me the car. I requested my deposit back and have called 8 times over the last 5 days as the money still isn’t in my account. I keep being told they will chase it up and nothing happens. I bank transferred the deposit (to save them the hassle of card payment fees) and therefore a refund should be instant regardless of ‘business banking’. We have our own business and know how business bank accounts work. I’m still £500 down. In addition I bought the same car, 2 years newer, for less money - somewhere else. It’s a shame as the staff are very nice but unfortunately it is poorly ran, so I wouldn’t recommend dealing with them.

Non pressured sale

Non pressured sale, left alone to look over vehicle and test drive. Salesmen on hand for any questions we had. Handover was great..everything explained . Thanks to all involved will definitely recommend

BMW 1 series purchase

I purchased a BMW 1 series from autochoice 3 months ago and have had an excellent experience since. I had one problem with one of my tyre pressure sensors that popped up and autochoice took my car in the next week to fix the problem with no questions asked. Since then I’ve had no problems with my car and very happy with my purchase. Adam was my salesman who was very helpful and allowed me to test drive the car before purchasing. Highly recommend autochoice.

VERY POOR SERVICE - Would not recommend buying a car

Would not recommend buying a car from this garage. I purchased a vehicle which had lots of problems and no after care from the garage. It took for me to take it elsewhere to get a health check carried out to find out the vehicle should never have passed an mot. I also purchased an extended warranty which wasn’t worth the paper it was written on.

Helpful and efficient.

Approximately 2 weeks ago I purchased an XJ from Autochoice Bristol, I dealt primarily with the salesman Josh, who is very enthusiastic and helpful, he clearly loves his cars, and does all he can to ensure you have a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

The car I purchased previously belonged to the owner Jeff, I really appreciated him taking the time to show me all the features of it, he even very kindly gave me a couple of things he'd bought for the vehicle when I purchased it.

Everybody I spoke to there was really helpful. It's been an easy and pleasant transaction.

Brought my Focus RS From the guys at Bristol, Josh was extremely helpful and gave me all the information I asked for as we had a 3/4 hour journey to view the car, all the staff were very helpful, met the owner who was also polite and very helpful, highly recommend 👍🏻

THE BEST IN THE WEST ,4CARS

God's my witness on this experience at autochoice bristol feeder , I'm 54 years I passed my test at 17 , and in 37 years of buying cars I've never experience the helpfulness and quality of buying a car at autochoice bristol, the car was perfect just what I wanted and needed, preity much in tip top condition for it's age ,josh who sold the car to me was quite honestly a top car salesman,only young but brilliant, friendly, new is stuff , very much passionate about cars , and above all , HONEST, a cut above the rest , that I've experienced in the past , Adam the other salesman there was also helpfull welcoming and couldn't do more for you , , first time buying a car at autochoice bristol. Wouldn't go anywhere else now , to show my gratitude I bought both josh and Adam breakfast that morning,, I'm very confident josh will go on to achieve is dreams of owning is own car garage one day ,,

Got my ford ranger from here Josh was…

Got my ford ranger from here Josh was very helpful and very happy with the truck the only problem I have was the roller shutter was broken and when I spoke to Jeff and explained I was going to have a Truckman canopy put on he said he would pay for some of it as he was going to put a new roller shutter on he paid his part of the canopy no problem This is now booked in for the 13th December As I said Truck is great and the service was excellent thanks to all involved

What an amazing store and team

What an amazing store and team! I have been looking for a Cupra for awhile now. Car base wasn’t the best! Luckily, auto choice had one and in my price range! Adam and the team were fantastic! Very knowledgeable and friendly! For someone who has been working for auto choice for 20 years! Adam must love his role and company! Thank you again and I’ll see you in the future!!

Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

After having an awful experience with a private seller, me and my partner decided to look around our local car dealerships for an automatic car. We seen a car we were very interested online at Autochoice, Bristol. As we walked into Autochoice, we were assisted by Josh, who was very kind and very welcoming. We explained to Josh that we were worried with buying another car, as we did have a bad experience with my last car. Josh reassured us, and when we looked at the reviews, history of the car we wanted, warranty, and how well Autochoice was presented, we knew we wouldn’t be making any mistakes buying a car from here. We collected the car today, and the drive was amazing. I am so happy with the car, so thank you again to Josh for all of the help. We would definitely recommend Autochoice, Bristol. We definitely won’t be going anywhere else for our cars again.
