It is a great magazine. Engaging and very helpful. However, I purchased the subscription for a relative. When the year was up I tried to cancel after I had already been charged for this year. The other day I received an issue via my email. I have to contact customer service again to cancel before they charge me again!!

I was leafing through this issue and saw the Fire Drill subject. the article made me realize that a social story might help my son to handle drills and to process it later.
he will obsess about a drill for a long time after it is over, and i've given him verbal reassurance, but the social story will help!

I have a 7 and 15 year old with ASD and ADHD. They were both adopted and not blood siblings. They were both born with drugs in their systems from their biological mother. Do you have articles of drug use can cause ASD? I have found the articles very helpful and have read straight through. We don’t have many resources in our area as we are in a rural area. I have been using the first then strategies. I would love to learn some more.

I had no idea…..my grandson is 8 years old and has had dysregulated outbursts lasting hours since he was 2. I felt back then that he showed some signs of being on the spectrum but drs disagreed and felt sure it was ADHD. His mother felt there was more than both diagnosis combined but we carried on living with and through every episode until he made an attempt to harm himself in June 2025. He was hospitalized for 3 weeks in McMaster children’s mental health unit, sent home only to be hospitalized again for 15 days in August. Needless to say he has numerous other issues and is on a LOT of serious medication. This publication is the one place I found out WHY he acts up in so many instances. I had NO IDEA how many behaviours would make sense .. I wish I had had the knowledge I have since reading this magazine, back in 2019. I am reading all the back issues and will keep them as references going forward. Thank you. I feel I understand so much more and will apply more patience every day. A lot of common sense behaviours to apply to my own reactions as well.

Using the websites one gets new offers and pop ups on nearly every page. It is a bit difficult to follow the first thought while so much more thoughts are being served on the way. As being offering sites for autism parents it seems to have been forgotten that also the parents might find themselves on the spectrum. It is not effortless surfing on Your sites as useful as they are. The sites - all of them - could be more autism-friendly.
