I've got some Authentic furniture made in 2019. One sofa needed a repair a couple of years ago and it was dealt with by Derwent furniture. However, I need another repair under warranty for the same sofa and there is no reply to email or telephone messages from Derwent. Pretty disappointing really as the furniture was not cheap. Guess I'll have to pay someone independent to repair it if possible

My sofa and chairs are four and half years old with very little use as there are only two of us using them. The seats are now really uncomfortable and I'm not sure whether it's a problem with the actual frame or just that the cushions have gone really flat. I've tried to contact authentic furniture by phone and email but get no response. I'm sure that it must be covered under the warranty but don't know how to access this when the company doesn't respond. The material has gone really bubbly too

Late delivery, after a few months one sofa seat cushion failed and now only 4 years on the armchair fabric has split! Very expensive for such poor quality

Bought 2 sofas 3 chairs and 2 footstools from Authentic. Buttons came adrift, so Authentic fixed them, via their contractor "Guardsman". Another button has come adrift. Derwent Furniture will not answer e-mails or telephone calls. DO NOT USE DERWENT FURNITURE. I am contacting trading standards to follow up. BEWARE OF DERWENT FURNITURE.

Our furniture is 2 years old and cost circa £5000. Buttons have come out again on the chair, but cannot contact Derwent Furniture Ltd although they have offices in Rushden, Northamps according to Companies House website. How can a company take over and fail to be contactable? Have informed Trading Standards

We have 3 sofas from Authentic Furniture when it was originally based in Chatsworth/Peak Village, 2020. During 2020, the company was ran in to ground and purchased by Derwent Furniture Limited. I myself have had numerous faults with the sofa which Derwent repaired as a good will gesture. I still have on going issues with the sofas noting that they are only 2 years old. Authentic Furniture are no longer answering emails/ calls. Derwent do not have a contact number/website either. Trading Standards are now aware of the company, my finance company are now filing a case as well as these sofas were purchased with a 15 year guarantee. Their website states quality in product and service which is now deemed as false. I still have consumer rights as Authentic Furniture are still trading even though under a different ownership. Very poor, disappointing, unfair treatment for £4000 worth of products. Please avoid. All comments from the last 2 years on Google/ here are all true.

Bought two sofas in 2017 - contacted them a month ago as stitching had come loose on the shoulders exposing the foam which is covered under guarantee however no one picks the phone up and no one responds to my many emails so they might advertise guaranteed products but the reality is you can't get it resolved. Customer service has taken a nosedive - shame as I like the products and was going to purchase from them again.

This furniture should normally last for decades. Although only in private careful use, our sofa from Authentic Furniture did only last about 7 years, then we had the first holes. It is now completely worn and looks terrible. We asked a leather specialist if it is worth to replace the leather, his reply was that it is unlikely that the frame and everything else is of high quality if for the leather such a bad quality was chosen, so he recommended not repairing it. We had a leather sofa, about 50 years old. It was still in perfect condition, but we wanted to have something new and replaced it against the one from Authentic Furniture. The dog got the old one. The old one, although now for 7 years in dog use is still perfect. Bad for the dog he now got the one from Authentic Furniture and we have our old sofa back. And what makes things worse, there is no service at all. Once you complain they stop all communication, they do not answer mail, nor E-mail nor phone.

Awful service, phoned 3 and half weeks ago to be told the manager would call back later that day heard nothing then we’ve been trying to get hold of the company for over 3 weeks now with no answer or reply to emails. We Pay for extra for a service of a 5 year protection. Will be taking this further!

Fantastic customer service, I had been using too strong a cleaner on my sofa I got 4 years ago, Laura advised that they could make new cushions , I decided to get new cushion inserts too, after only 4 weeks they arrived today and fit like a glove and my 4 year old sofa looks brand new again . Highly recommend this company

Needed new foam inserts for cushions on a large 4 seater sofa, original filling was fibre but didn't hold up as much as expected. We decided to replace with custom foam inserts. Service and communications were exemplary, a real personal touch. The inserts arrived as informed and the finished article are delightful, just what we wanted fantastic fit.

I contacted Authentic Furniture to obtain a paint sample for a leather sofa that had some colour loss.

Laura was an absolute super star who acted quickly and professionally to get the exact details of the sofa and the right colour. Laura sent it out on the same day and it has arrived quickly.

I could not be happier with the service I have received. Every company should have someone like Laura as the beating heart of their customer service team.

Having previously bought a sofa and chairs from Authentic Furniture, and had dining chairs reupholstered, we bought a leather sofa from them and had two leather reclining chairs and a footstool reupholstered in matching leather. As before we were kept informed of progress and the sofa, chairs and footstool are excellent. This is high-quality furniture from a company small enough to provide a rally personal service.

Great quality and great service from Laura, who is very knowledgable and kept in touch with us about delivery. We had an issue on delivery which was nothing to do with Authentic Furniture, but Laura dealt with it efficiently and ensured the problem was resolved. We are very happy with our purchase of two sofas and a footstool.

The cushions on a sofa I had bought from Authentic Furniture needed some TLC. I got in touch and was advised that Authentic had gone into administration and Derwent had taken over the brand. I was a bit concerned but Laura couldn't have been any more helpful. She ordered cushion replacements, kept me up to date with timelines and arranged for them to be fitted. My lovely sofa is now back to its gorgeous self. Thanks Laura, you're the best!

Ordered the furniture without actually seeing it but have to say it exceeds my expectations in terms of quality and workmanship I would recommend anyone to use this company. Laura in sales manager was so helpful sending me swatches and photos of furniture. Thank you so much

We recently moved house and unfortunately a screw within the foot of an Authentic sofa had been damaged. We sent the foot off direct to Authentic who unbelievably made good & popped it back in the post the same day that they had received it. I can't fault such a quick service! Gillian Williamson

We bought a chair, cuddler and sofa from Authentic Furniture a number of years ago and love them. The chair developed an issue with a leg during lockdown and then more recently the sofa had an issue with the frame. I contacted Authentic Furniture not really expecting that anything could be done However, Laura responded straight away and within a few days our furniture was collected to be repaired. Within a week both pieces were back, as good as new. We were not charged for a thing.
Laura's organisation and communication throughout was brilliant and the guys that handled removal and delivery were excellent.
We are so pleased to have our beautiful furniture back and have been extremely impressed with the service received, especially given the length of time after our purchases.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Authentic Furniture not only for their beautiful, custom pieces but also for their superior aftercare.

This was our third time with ordering from Authentic Furniture. As always we received fantastic service, particularly from Laura who was amazing from start to finish. Sofa, armchair and footstools are all extremely comfortable and excellent quality. Slight damage found on delivery was rectified very professionally the next day.
