Been with Aura for a few years now. I have a family plan that is supposed to protect my kids as well. My daughter just turned 18 and opened her own credit and checking account and requested a credit card. We got no notification of her SSN used, account opening etc. I contacted Aura but the customer service representative was not helpful, he kept making upo excuses and then said becuase my daughter turned 18 he cannot give me any information. This is a family plan and no one in our family was notified. Aura is selling you this plans but your kids have ZERO protection. Do not waste your money. This company is a scam. Somehow Trust pilot seems to show good reviews, but if you read BBB and Reddit you will have a more realistic view. So disappointing.

They are supposed to protect from identity theft, but someone stole my identity and signed up for the account and they couldn't detect it so I canceled it. now, 2 years later they are still trying to bill me even though i canceled it 2 years ago and got a confirmation number. Whole service is a fraud
Update, 3 days later. No cancelation confirmation number was sent. the phone in the response on here is a dead number, and I'm still getting harassed about updating my payment info. 2 years. and now today they are gaslighting me telling me that I keep signing up. I have not used the service since DEC 2023, 2 years ago. I quit using it because the quality of the service was below expectations, and when i asked why i couldn't connect to my bank accounts or credit card accounts when using their VPN, they told me thats not what a VPN is for. the specific reason for offering a VPN is to keep data safe when doing stuff like banking and card payments. So technically thats a self admission that their service does not perform as advertised. Good customer service doesn't gaslight the consumer, and then pretend to be protecting the security of private information.
If someone else is reopening my account, that further proves their service is not secure at all !!!

The only area I’d like to see improved is the password management feature. While it works well in most cases, I’ve noticed that it doesn’t function smoothly on a small number of websites I use frequently. This sometimes forces me to switch between apps on my mobile, to copy/paste credentials, or log into Aura on a separate browser tab to copy/paste login info when using my computer. It is also worthy to mention that very rarely the mobile app nor the browser extension will offer to add verification codes for websites which forces me to use an backup app for these. Enhancing this feature to cover more sites seamlessly would make Aura truly flawless.
Overall:
Aura provides an impressive suite of tools that safeguard nearly every aspect of online safety, all supported by a stellar customer service team. The platform already shines with its ease of use and comprehensive features, and I’m confident that as the password manager continues to evolve, it will make Aura an even stronger all-in-one solution. Been with Aura for a few years now. Signed up at 120. A year. Received an email earlier this month for renewal and seen i was going to be charged 199. Seeing that they advertise on the internet for 120, I had people call and was quoted 120. So, I called and inquired why my subscription went up, not down for being a loyal customer and was told that prices are subject to change!! What? After numerous calls and speaking with different representatives I was told I would be renewed for the 120 which by the way I was told was on Dec 16. A member from their " loyalty" team said that I would be charged 108. If I renewed before then. We'll, today is Dec, 14 and received an email that my renewal was successfull.
I wasn't charged the 108, or the 120, not even 199. But 211. MORE then what was told to me and BEFORE my renewal date they told me was DEC 16.
These people are scammers! Trust pilot seems to show good reviews but BBB doesnt!! Reddit doesn't either!!!

Anytime I have encountered an issue, you have been there; customer service (even if just through searching through the app), the answers are readily available. I'm alerted to fraud, needed updates and follow through with fraud department (Awesome).

Terrible insurance company, my son went 40 in 30 thinking it was a 40 and his insurance got banned. He all so had a score of 80 so this shows that his driving habits are good. Aura is an absolute scam AVOID AVOID AVOID!
