Excellent tremolo in the Tube Modulator! It is rare to find a plugin that sounds like real amplifier trem from vintage amps. I'm a bit of a tremolo snob but I have to admit that this plugin has nai... See more

Better than the original

I initially gravitated towards the model this plugin emulates after I heard a shootout between a multitude of popular Marshall’s (JMP 2203, JCM 800 2203, JCM 800 2210, JCM 2204 Fortin modded, JCM 900 2500 MKII, JCM 900 2100 SL-X, JCM 2000 DSL, JVM 410, Mode Four) and many commentators noted how aggressive and raw the VS compared to the rest which sounded about how you’d expect (very spongy and fat, almost muddy). I also wasn’t ready to blow a tonne of money on a FAS modeller or get the actual hardware which was reportedly noisy, unreliable, and increasingly scarce. So I pulled the trigger and I am so glad I did. I love that Marshall sound and don’t care a whole tonne for 500 other amp models and this sounds like a Randall and a Marshall got together and had a baby. Think tight and aggressive. Cleans are okay, but who the **** is buying this for cleans. Reverb feels a little odd. Addition of contour knob is great, pre-EQ mode is great, excellent IR selection, excellent presets, noise floor is low, sounds phenomenal cutting through the mix.

Solidus VS8100

Pretty straightforward to purchase, available to download immediately and easy to download and apply the licence key.

And this plug in sounds great! I have an original Valvestate sat next to me, but it's getting on and doesn't really like being flat out any more like it did when it was a young, swaggering whippersnapper; the plugin sounds so juicily, satisfyingly close I'm having flashbacks!

This purchase should be a no-brainer if you love Valvestates!

GREAT

I really liked the VST, since it simulates amplified sounds quite well, I have used it for guitars and basses and it gives them another plus
thanks.

Great amp sim

Unique because it's a model of a more obscure solid state amp Marshall made during the 70s, unless I'm mistaken. That's already pretty wild, right there. And all in all, it's very useful with a wide enough range of gain and eq to provide the gamut of clean/crunch/brutal sounds. Who would have thought of making a vst of this? ...Whatever free-thinking geniuses they are who devised this prize. And..better sit down for this one...It has...you're gonna think I'm lying...speaker sim actually INCLUDED. :O :O :O :O

The PlexiTape is so on point in regard…

The PlexiTape is so on point in regard to the original Echoplex is it amazing. I am currently recreating on of Jimi Hendrix's songs called 1983 and the Echoplex was used to make and the PlexitTape is in my opinion a 1:1 replication of the original hardware unit now as a plugin. Great job guys :0)
