Easy to set an account up
Easy to set an account up, never had any problems, needed to talk to someone when Ist account expired and needed to transfer funds, very helpful and all went smoothly.

Atom easy to use but swinging interest reductions.
Atom is very easy to use a great ap.but i am more than a little peeved to see the interest rate halved for a month when I moved money from instant access to a fixed rate investment all within ATOM, this should not be penalised in any way, See Santander for free internal transfers!

I understand your frustration, especially when comparing the experience to other banks and internal transfers in general. The reason your interest rate decreased is that the funds were moved out of an Instant Saver Reward account.
This specific type of account is designed to encourage saving by using a dual-rate system: a higher "reward" rate for months where you do not make any withdrawals, and a lower "withdrawal" rate for months where you do.
When you move money from an Instant Saver Reward account to a Fixed Saver, it is officially processed as a withdrawal. Because of this, the account drops to the lower withdrawal rate for the remainder of that monthly interest period. To help keep customers informed, the app is designed to display a warning screen before you confirm this kind of transfer, alerting you that the rate will drop and showing the estimated interest you will miss out on if you proceed.
The good news is that this drop is only temporary. Your account will automatically switch back to the higher reward rate at the start of your next monthly interest period, provided you do not make any further withdrawals.
If you prefer the flexibility to make transfers without affecting your interest rate, you might want to consider Atom's standard Instant Saver account in the future. Unlike the Reward version, the standard Instant Saver pays a single, consistent interest rate regardless of how often you withdraw or internally transfer your funds. SW
