Atlantic Money Reviews 

I recently had to transfer some larger sums of money from Germany to the UK. The exchange rate I got with Atlantic money cannot be beaten; I saved a lot of money compared to doing a direct transfer via my bank, and also compared to other currency exchange services. I found the ID check in the app both easy to do and reassuring in terms of security provided. I only used the app for transfers below £25,000, as for larger amounts further checks would have been required - which is fine in principle but I just did not want the hassle. Overall, the process was quite straightforward; the only slight niggle was that because it took a few days for my money to arrive in my Atlantic Money account (based in Estonia) from my German bank account, the exchange rate was no longer fixed at this point. It was not a big problem for me as there wasn't much movement in the market at the time. It would be great, however, if Atlantic Money could add rate alerts and limit orders to make it easier to transfer at a certain time when the exchange rate is favourable. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience though, and it all worked smoothly, considering that it was all completely app-based and automated.

Amazing service, cheapest around, and fast!

I always use online comparing sites and Atlantic Money has the best rates. Don’t know how long it’s gonna be like this but right now it’s worth using it.
Also registration and creating account is super easy and fast.

My experience with 3 transfers is a market leading rate/all-in cost, efficient KYC/AML and limit approvals, speedy replies on WhatsApp. Highly recommend

I am revising my previous review as I am now clear on the process that needs to be followed to make this transfer process smooth. You must setup the transfer for the exact amount you are going to transfer into their bank account, it can’t be two payments as an example. So do check with your bank what the maximum amount they will transfer in one day is. Oh and it also must be a Faster Payment no other method acceptable. So I have completed my transfer and my USD arrived in my account today, two day earlier than anticipated. There is no question that the rates these guys offer can’t be beaten, for me the pain was just understanding the process. So at the end of all this I would highly recommend Atlantic Money!

User friendly, low fee - definitely a good service, and even more to come I guess

The promise of no fee for first transfer is great. But I started a transfer, and during the 5 minute verification they lowered the exchange rate by a few percentage points was confused, have used quite a few platforms but never had such issue. It wasn't a big amount and I was in a hurry so went ahead. But feels so unethical, not sure if I should trust them with higher amounts.

I found Remitly and RemitPanda better and direct with no such non-sense, though exchange rate being offered on each platform at times are better or lower, so do compare.

I signed up but never used their services. Despite this, they refuse to delete my data.

Excellent and cost effective way to send a large sum of cash from the UK to Australia. The currency conversion rate was competitive and the transfer arrived on time. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Definitely the best foreign exchange option out there at the moment. I was very nervous using this new company I hadn't heard of before, but I had to transfer a six-digit amount from EUR to GBP for a house purchase and didn't want to pay thousands of pounds in bank fees. I made a small test transfer, then several large transfers. It all worked just as advertised. If you use an instant SEPA transfer as the payment option, the exchange rate is locked right away (otherwise, if they don't receive the payment by the next business day, then your rate is not locked in, which can be risky, so I wouldn't recommend that). I had to up my transfer limit twice, but great customer service helped out quite quickly. Would definitely use again. (Only downside is not all currencies are exchangable yet, like USD to GBP, hopefully that will come soon.)

From time to time we need to send money to our Spanish and French bank accounts. Nothing huge, but to keep them healthy, and pay the bills. We have run the gamut of working out best ways to do this - conventional banks have long been expensive and do not use the best exchange rates, in spite of what they advertise. Peer to peer organisations entered the market a few years ago and we immediately found one of these that offered seriously lower rates and stuck pretty closely to the actual daily published exchange rate (obviously we are looking at £ to € exchange).
Most recently however, we found out about atlantic.money, operating a similar arrangement to the one we have been used to, but with a gloriously low transfer charge and spot on with the daily exchange rate. The company had also had a good note on the reliable Martin Lewis website. We made our first transaction with atlantic.money last Monday (10/07) using their very straightforward app - we are technophobes, but it was easy for us, the app instructions were clear and simple, and their support has been very good.
Once we had done the necessary (creating an atlantic.money account in our name and paying the appropriate amount into that account) we were told the money would be transferred so as to arrive in the destination account on Wednesday morning. That time line was fine for us, although we could have gone for a quicker delivery. In the event, we were more than happy because we had an email from the intended recipients to say they had received their money on Tuesday morning, less than 24 hours after our arranging the transfer (atlantic.money also confirmed our successful transfer). Clearly the Spanish recipients too were delighted to receive it so quickly.
We have a couple more such payments to make imminently and will certainly be using atlantic.money for those, and indeed for future transfers to our bank accounts in the two countries. A really excellent service, strongly recommended. GC 140723

Best rates and hassle free. After years of trawling comparison sites to find a couple of euros extra or beingripped off by the big banks if you wanted an easy transaction, Atlantic Money have provided the perfect solution. Takes minutes to set up, the transfer process could not be simpler or more efficient, the rates are the best and fees either none or £3! Quick transfer of funds as well! I’ve deleted my currency trackers and comparison apps and saved Atlantic Money on the top line of my homepage. Total gamechanger!

Atlantic Money is truly wonderful and I’m so glad I found it. Transfer from the EU to the US are never easy or cheap, but this app is perfect. Any negative reviews you see are genuinely just people trying to scam their way into a referral bonus. I was a bit suspicious at the beginning because it seems too good to be true, but it’s all true. Live conversion rates based on the actual rate, not a jacked up price. And 3€ free every time, instead of a percentage that could end up being way too much. Their customer service is also very fast to respond and very helpful. Can’t recommend this enough!

The very lowest fees, easy and clear user interface/operating procedure, good response times/customer service. Processing/transfer times are long but that's fine because they're transparent about it. Also, cool logo :)

Quick and simple to use with the best rates available.

Service works as promised, took a few days for cash to show up in my account and I started with small dollar amounts to test it, but does exactly what it promises. And the interface is very friendly.

Transfered significant sum from Eur to GBP over period of 6 months. Did exactly as expected, with responsive team when values exceeded initial limit to increase value. Very fast, very cheap. Better experience than competitors due to price.

Immediate transfer of funds - £/€. Fantastic exchange rate. Economical standard charge. No complaints about the service at all. Found the app a bit clunky.
